Getting a "page" on an MFD to show the data in graphic form is where the functionality gap persists. Yes the data is on the network but getting on a display (Suzuki C10 for instance) is difficult without the company (Suzuki) providing a "page" setup for the sender. Am I missing something?
All sounds easy. I have twin Detroit 4-71TIs on my boat. So I can leave my analog gauges right where they are and just run secondary wire to your unit? I'm looking to be able to view all that information on my Raymarine Axiom 9.
Hi Ryan, that's correct, the EMU-1 can operate with the gauges left in circuit, the wires simply need to be tapped off the gauge. Diagrams explaining this are located within the EMU-1 user manual - actisense.com/acti_downloads/emu-1-user-manual/
Hi Ian, Our UK distributor - IMP - is exhibiting at Southampton Boat Show. They are located in Ocean Hall. In order to determine if the Actisense EMU-1 is compatible, you need to find out what senders and gauges you have. Not the engine model / manufacturer. This article describes this in more detail - actisense.com/knowledge-base/nmea-2000/emu-1-nmea-2000-engine-monitoring-unit/emu-1-engine-compatibility-and-setup/?fbclid=IwAR1_tNv4CRx98vIR-LusPNijPbb9tCsZX10HbgTSl4jl8b1X7dOLOJt-kPE
hi, can you go from analogue to emu-1 to a lowrance device for complete digital monitoring of gauges, also do you still need the analogue gauges or can they be removes.

Awesome! Do you know if EMU1 will work with Yanmar 2YM15 with B20 control panel. I am concern about not to interfere with the B20 engine control unit. How does it work this device, does it take the resistance from the sensors or?

Do the analog gauges have to be connected between the outboard and the EMU? Or does it take the place of the analog gauges? I too have an Evinrude Ocean Pro 200
Hi Thomas, the EMU-1 can be connected with gauges still connected, or run without gauges and operate directly from sender. In the EMU-1 user manual, there are diagrams on how to connect the EMU-1 gauge inputs to the sender / gauge depending on which type you have - actisense.com/acti_downloads/emu-1-user-manual/.
Okay guys it's time. I have twin V-504m Cummins diesel analog engines in my 1983 10 meter trojan international Express sportfish. I want to get it up to date to plug into the USB port on my Android phone or my laptop..do you have an updated video on the subject or contact info for tech support.
Hi Cole, please contact our US distributor Gemeco for pricing - www.gemeco.com/ As for your other question, an NMEA 2000 MFD is required to display the engine data on your NMEA 2000 network. Most manufacturer’s displays are capable of displaying engine data, but it is always worth checking with them first. If you are looking to display the data on a PC application, then an Actisense NGT-1-USB is used to transfer your NMEA 2000 data from the bus onto the PC. The NGT-1 is also required to configure and upgrade the EMU-1 anyway, so keeping it on the network is definitely a benefit. I hope this helps!
Hi, Due to the large amount of engines on the market, each with their own senders and gauges which are interchangeable, we do not configure the EMU-1 via an Engine Model or Manufacturer. Rather, we use sender/gauge pairings as our referencing for configuration. There is an article on our knowledge base which explains this in more detail - actisense.com/knowledge-base/nmea-2000/emu-1-nmea-2000-engine-monitoring-unit/emu-1-engine-compatibility-and-setup/. Our technical support team are more than happy to help with your configuration and installation of our products, please contact support@actisense.com for further help.
If you can make the conversion from MTU engines M91 v16 serie 2000, let me know as have installed Garmin gpsmap8416series and could monitor through nmea200 or J1939, regards
Hi Goncalo, please get in contact with our technical support team by emailing them at support@actisense.com, and one of our engineers will talk you through it.

Have twin 5.7 merc. efi's. Found Fox gateways which seem much simpler. fox-marine.com/ No programming required, just configuration via dip switches for twin setup. Roughly $600.00 USD for two gateways. Simply know the ECM type so you purchase the gateway with the correct engine data adaptor attached. Plug adaptor into engine data port, plug NMEA2000 wire into the gateway, stats display on your MFD that is also plugged into the NMEA2000 network. Even better, they have Bluetooth capability. Download the Fox Apple or Android App. The App displays all the data certified techs see with their engine data readers. With Bluetooth and a tablet you can diagnose issues and even clear codes from the App.
Currently, there is no upgrade / configuration method that uses Bluetooth. The EMU-1 is configured and upgraded via Actisense Toolkit which is a PC Application, and an Actisense NGT-1-USB which is an NMEA 2000 to PC interface device. Wireless configuration might be possible in the future, but we can’t provide any dates on this yet.
