How To Mount A Red Dot Sight On a Turkey Shotgun (Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag)

Do you want to mount a red dot sight on your turkey shotgun? Today I am installing a Vortex Venue Red Dot Sight on a Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag Turkey Shotgun using a Weaver Picatinny Rail.
Surprisingly this is a pretty simple process with basic tools. I do recommend using Loctite Blue 242 Removable on the screws.

Sight: Vortex Venum Red Dot 3moa
Rail: Weaver Multi-Slot Base Model 417T (Fits Mossberg 500 (1997+) & 835 Savage/Stevens 320)

I put a TruGlo micro dot on a rail mount for a 20 gauge in the fall. I got it dialed today with TSS. I messed around with different mounts and scopes for months, and could not get what I wanted until I found the micro dot. It is absolutely awesome. I am looking forward to heading to Alabama next month to give it the ultimate test run.

Just did a “pawn shop” build on this model as well ! I used a EGW micro red dot mount to keep the form factor down. Good video !
