About Aaron Blaise:

Aaron Blaise is an animation feature film director and wildlife artist.
For 21 years Aaron worked with Disney helping to create some of the greatest animated films ever made. During that time he worked as an animator or supervising animator on "The Rescuers Down Under", "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "Pocahontas", "Mulan" and more.
In 2003 he was co-director of "Brother Bear" for which he earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
After "Brother Bear" he helped to develop several projects but ultimately left Disney to pursue an opportunity back home in Florida. Aaron recently served as 2D Animation Supervisor and Character Designer for the "The Bear and the Hare" an advertisement loved by millions around the world. (vimeo.com/78740926)

I've been practicing my rendering skills. I map out the lights and shadows of my drawing in grey scale, then I color the drawing. The grey scale part of the drawing helps me plan out lights and shadows. I also blend everything in one layer versus using multiple because it's not as overwhelming.

Love everything you put out there! And I am really enjoying procreate dreams even though I do not know much about animation. I wanted to ask if there is anywhere online where I can get a really in depth look at your desk? I believe it is a original disney animation desk and I am dying to build one for myself as a personal project. I built the computer desk that I am using now and love it. Just thought I would throw this out there in the universe. I have done some research on the desk but havent found a really good look. The drawers on the right side lower are impressive

The other reason people are struggling like me with dreams is that they changed/removed the functionality upon release that you had gotten to use in beta, drawing wise. It's not easy to illustrate vs procreate itself, especially the auto shape/stability feature that was not there on release. I contacted the support staff of procreate and they explained beta had early features that aren't in dreams yet until more experimenting and updates happen 😂 jic if others found it confusing for tutorials released compared to the actual program purchases early on (not sure if it's sorted out yet). ♥️ Def got your lesson, though. Excited to learn more!
There was no drawing stability tools in the beta when I used it. (I don’t use that anyway) I just draw

When some animators draw on the paper, they draw sometimes only some specific parts of the body (like hands ore face)
Do you know why ore how to call the technique?
