- The Cure - A Night Like This
Due do WMG copyright and regulation the original studio track was blocked worldwide. In order for viewers to hear the song, the video was substituted with a live track that was recorded at 'The Palace' in Auburn Hills, Michigan on July 19th 1992.
Video sequence can not be achieved cohesively due to this song version. Nevertheless, I gave it a try to manipulate it as close as possible and hope you will enjoy it. Many thanks for watching.

The Cure - A Night Like This Lyrics
Say goodbye on a night like this
If it's the last thing we ever do
You never looked as lost as this
Sometimes it doesn't even look like you
It goes dark
It goes darker still
Please stay
But I watch you like I'm made of stone
As you walk away...
I'm coming to find you if it takes me all night
A witch hunt for another girl
For always and ever is always for you
Your trust
The most gorgeously stupid thing I ever cut in the world
Say hello on a day like today
Say it every time you move
The way that you look at me now
Makes me wish I was you
It goes deep
It goes deeper still
This touch
And the smile and the shake of your head...
And the smile and the shake of your head...
I'm coming to find you if it takes me all night
Can't stand here like this anymore
For always and ever is always for you
I want it to be perfect
As before...
I want to change it all
I want to change
Coming to find you if it takes me all night
Can't stand here like this anymore
For always and ever is always for you
I want it to be perfect
As before...
I want to change it all
I want to change
I want to change it all
I want to change
I had a short relationship with a girl from the US travelling through Europe 1989 in Munich . She went home on Nov ninth that year. 2011 we met on FB again and she said : How is it going ? You know you changed my life by introducing me to the Cure? She explained me, how she fell into that new music , wanna visit me? And here we are married , still living in the US,,,still

That's great
I'm almost 50 now but remember dating a girl who got me into the cure as a teenager in the 80s. staying up late talking to her on the phone while listening to this album.
Yessir "perfect as she comes'
Sean Foy. I have a similar story. Got into the Cure in the early 80s because of a girl and I still listen to them daily to this day. My favorite band of all time.
My boyfrieng got me in to it last night when we've listend them at EXIT festival, Novi Sad Serbia, live ;)
Oh ho ho, I wanted to change it all.
I'm 57 and i remember listening to them in my car when i was driving with my then little bby daughter..we were driving around looking for her dad. I love The Cure!!💗💗and I'm 57 now..my daughter is now 34 and married..time flies by way too fast!!!

Actual cure
Hope is the vibe you're getting from the Cure?
@@I_Have_The_Most_Japanese_Music the fact that many young adults listen to a 38 year old cure song does give me hope, plus good music is always inspiring, even if it has a dark edge to it, life is full of ups and downs,,, music about real things to me is better than songs about fake happiness.
i havent called upon The Cure since 1989..........but now i need them again.
i never stopped loving them, nor their music....i just didnt need them in my life like i do now, like i did back in 89.
When you lose someone you love....the pain doesnt go away.
the pain becomes bigger then you can handle, and thats where The Cure come into play.
The year 2012 has presented me with a great loss...the loss of my wife.

I just realized your the same age as my daughter, same month only 5 days later than her B-day. lol
Robert's vocals capture raw emotion probably better than anyone else in the business.
No the cure without Robert Smith and Simon Gallup.....

Absolutely
Since I WAS 12...now I'M 43.
Is everybody enjoying this in 2021? I've been enjoying this band since I was 17 in 1982. Some of us will be eternally Gothic in our souls...while admitting the light, we enjoyed the journey out of darkness. The Cure are artists of the highest calibre, pure and simple.
Before the name Gothic existed was The Cure New Wave !
It's 2020, im 17 and this is the best band ever existed
Nice. Glad your mind is opened enough to appreciate music that was unique and not created by fricking computers.
Unfortunately this particular version is fucked up, slightly slowed down, as a longtime fan of The Cure I immediately thought this sounded wrong. I woke up like 2 min ago with this song in my head and googled it 2 listen 2 as I got out of bed but was weirded out by the way this sounded. Check out the Actual version.
Hey I’m 17 too and also love the cure!!
Same but I’m 15
It's 2021, im 14 and this is the best band that ever existed. The cure will never die
There is a special place in my heart for The Cure. They've been with me for a very long time.
Right there with you. I'm suddenly young again . . .
I hate thinking that while I lived through the 80's in my teens I hadn't truly discovered the magic of The Cure until I was well into my 50's. What Magic!
It 's never to late
So much great alternative 80s! Huge part of my teens in the 80s.
THERE is nothing like the cure. So ahead of their time. It was like connecting way ahead back ikn the day...bands finally caught, they influenced everyone. The 80s seem like so easy days ...miss those days
51 and I still get goosebumps, haunting, theatrical and beautiful.❤
Same here 😮
Perfect song. Chord progression and fortunate matching lyrics with melody. A gem. The performance (instrumental and vocals) impecable.
In the live version they replace the sax solo with a guitar and it sounds completely flawless. That’s the thing with the Cure even if the songs in the album version sound dated the live performances breathe life back into that again. Their sound is really timeless.
My favourite Cure song hands down!
It’s definitely in my top three.
Pitty that this aint the album version

The Cure fue todo lo mejor que nos pudo dejar los 80 y 90. Un estilo que va a perdurar en el tiempo.
I'm 49, been a cure fan since 89. When I hear this song, its still makes me feel the way I did back then. It's magical. Timeless. Precious.
i have never felt music preferences should have an age assignment, music, is an universal language, able to reach all. I was listening to Bach to Wagner when i was a little kid due to a school trip to symphony, and was hooked since then, and so while my friends listened to Leif Garrett (i was a wee kid in the 1970s), I put on my opera and classical music records on my record player. I LOVE music, across genres, cultures, religion, etc. Music is maybe one of the greatest human inventions.

I'm 42 and still remember listening to The Cure when I was about 5 or 6, I never changed my taste in music but stopped listening as much as I did. Recently a girl I met told me she's only been listening to them for a few years and she's close to my age, she's awakened a sleeping force in me that has given a new meaning to life and music.
saw the Cure live last year, 1st of november… i broke up on a phone call minutes before they entered the stage.
their whole set list from that night makes my heart burn, but also heal.
Cure is truly magical.
An absolute classic. A perfect song. The best.

Две недели не могу оторваться от видео, лучшее видео во веки веков, хотя сам фильм "Призрак в опере" ни о чем и ни причем. Зе кьюр форева!!!
One of the prettiest songs I have ever heard. The lyrics reminds me of him. I believe that's the best compliment you can give to someone.
I'm 35 years old and i love The Cure since I saw them for the first time, in the last 80's. I loven this band!!🇧🇷🇧🇷
years ago I started to go out with this girl, I already knew her because she was part of a circle of people I knew, plus in the local metal/alt rock/dark/... scene everybody knew everybody.
she was a very troubled girl, every time we hung out she was drunk or on drugs. we always met at night, she would call me and we would go somewhere... to a pub, an alternative disco, the local meeting place of old darks and goths (even older than us) and then we would finish the night drinking wine near or inside a cemetery.
she would always ask me if she could come to my place even when she had a boyfriend at that moment and we would listen to 80's dark music or watch old cyndi lauper's music videos, and then go to bed together. she mostly needed to feel safe, and always asked me to sleep with her cuddled up in my arms. some times we made love, but she would always regret it the day after because she was with someone else.
she wasn't a good person at all, but she had a very sweet melancholic side which made her special. mostly she tried to make everybody around her miserable though. I didn't mind that.
at some point she wrote me an e-mail telling me we couldn't meet anymore (she found yet another bf and was going to live with him) and she dedicated this song to us.
she died of a suicide overdose a year later, as she always told me she would have at some point.
How does a musician know which way to go there are so many possibilities and yet to make them narrowed down to a perfection of a singular feeling. It's some kind of crazy genius.
Hard to explain the beauty behind this amazing tune...I mean THE CURE!!!!!
The CURE "SHOW" live album!!! I have this on cassette! Jeeze this album is so good, and so is the PARIS live album.
the Cure is in my wonderfully beautiful melancholic "Soundtrack of Life" and that iconic voice & guitar always takes me right back to the memories that they are intertwined with.
I'M 43 AND THE FIRST TIME I'VE LISTEN TO THE CURE I WAS 12...
SAW THEM LIVE IN PORTUGAL RECENTLY... ROBERTS VOICE IS STILL THE SAME!!!
LOVE THEM.
Beautifully haunting and so timeless. Hard to believe it's 30 years since I was playing this song over and over and over
I love the latest live performances of this song, my favourite one of theirs live. Its a little bit quicker which makes it a perfect live performance. One of my fave guitarists ever does the solo, Reeves Gabrels from Tin Machine and his stunning guitar in Bowie's 96-97 shows.

The Cure is my first music love, and will always be #1!! I discovered them at age 9, thanks to my older sister. I took to the music and delved right in. I used to save my allowance $ and buy the tshirts, posters, cassettes and more, from those mail order magazines!! I taped all the videos on Poorman's Request Video on public access TV...Those were the days!! Lets just say they have been a part of my life for three + decades :) The music just resonated with my soul, it is timeless. I didn't know it back then, but it is as if the music prepared me for life before "life" happened to me. I have been able to find solace many times over with The Cure (and many other great bands) Long live The Cure!!!!
