  • In this video, I'm sharing my story of how I went from experiencing debilitating anxiety to living a relatively normal life after beginning hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
If you're experiencing menopause and debilitating anxiety, don't wait any longer - give HRT a try! This treatment has been shown to be effective in relieving many symptoms of menopause, including anxiety.
Watch Barbara's full story: • Menopause Madness: Wha...
In this episode we meet Barbara. Her intense introduction to menopause came when she experienced a powerful hot flash while in a gondola going skiing. She didn’t understand what was happening so the episode triggered an intense panic attack that resulted in a claustrophobic sensation, one that stayed with her long after the gondola ride ended.
Barbara experienced other impacts over time, including heavy bleeding with clots that restricted her from leaving the house. The bleeding led to profound exhaustion until she took iron infusions that immediately restored her energy. Several years later, Barbara started to experience severe generalized anxiety, even though logically she knew there was no cause to worry. Given her work with Herstasis, she was now able to identify that this was probably a symptom of perimenopause. She was luckier than many women in that the nurse practitioner immediately prescribed her an oral menopause hormone therapy (MHT). This resolved the anxiety and left grateful that she had a young, educated healthcare provider who was up-to-date on the best treatments, as this isn’t the case for many women.

    Hormone Replacement Therapy [HRT]
Hormone therapy is an excellent therapy for the treatment of many women’s menopausal transition symptoms. Hormone therapy (HT), also known as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or menopausal hormone therapy (MHT), is the delivery of a specific hormone into the body to decrease the intensity of certain menopause transition symptoms and to prevent health complications which can be related to hormonal changes. Hormones are the chemical messengers in the body that regulate many bodily functions.

Just started bio identical oestrogen and progesterone for terrible symptoms. Apparently transdermal is a lot safer than oral oestrogen. Happy to give it a go as life has been unbearable!

@@AdelaTR I’m feeling normal again. The HRT completely stopped the anxiety. I feel more calm and under control. Like I can deal with unexpected problems in a rational way, which would spin me out of control before.

It is absolutely better and it was my doctor’s first choice. However it was on back order for months and I couldn’t wait. My anxiety was so debilitating. I recently asked my doctor if I should switch now but she felt since the pills are working so well I shouldn’t mess with it. Sorry you’re feeling so terrible, I hope the HRT will also make you feel much better💕

I went to VA. My Dr, would NOT help me at all. I found another Dr. That specializes in this. My other labs are perfect, I have NO estrogen or progesterone levels. Literally, so love, they were off the charts. Testosterone 13. This is refreshing. I'm looking so forward to starting. I'm tired even when I'm sleeping. No joke. Thank you!!

Always make sure to take estrogen AND progesterone if you still have an uterus!! Then it's not supposed to increase cancer rates. I'm 57 and had no cycle for 1 year now. On HRT for two months now and not one hot flash since then! So much more quality of life🍀❤️

I started on the patch and progesterone a month ago. Immediately I had an improvement in sleep. I don't need naps on the weekend anymore.
Also my eyes aren't dry and scratchy. I can't wait for more time to go by to see what else happens.
I do feel bloated but I know my body is probably adjusting. I'm 48 and haven't had a cycle in over a year.

When struggling with numerous menopause symptoms, it is important to find a doctor who will provide the necessary support for your well-being. Menopause treatment should not solely rely on blood tests but on how you feel mentally and physically! If you are experiencing multiple symptoms, a doctor should prescribe suitable relief. HRT is the best option. Thank you for your comment and don’t give up on finding the right doctor!❤

I had to defend my concerns yesterday in my doctor’s appointment. He couldn’t understand why I kept asking to check my hormones. I have so many uncomfortable symptoms but not the ones he thought were relevant. I wanted to leave. I went to my car and shook. I’m still angry and feel disrespected. He finally ordered bloodwork. I need to see someone experienced with menopause.
