When I did get party orders making the bare minimum requirement of 200 prv , I only saw $50 a month of commission on those sales. Some other months I really busted my behind selling over $1000 in sales and only saw $100 in commission. The math was not mathing. Found out pretty late it was never about the products, but those who had teams made more. They only needed a minimum of $500 in sales a month to make money off their team. The very very interesting thing about this, is that like Stampin Up, more than 1/2 the consultants are consultants just for the discount and don’t run a business. So these changes affect how much they have to spend to get the discount/commision. These people do the math and have to decide -is it worth it for me to decide to spend 600 more a year to keep my 25% discount, or can I spend a few hundred $ a year on retail, because that’s all I need. I don’t think these leaving will go to another MLM because they were in it for the product which is great all around for the anti MLM movement.
That “people have to do what’s best for their mental health” comment is WILD. Sounds like they’re saying some people aren’t tough enough to stay and that they are the toughest and best so they’re staying.

The monthly minimums were already high! Who needs $200 of scented wax and plug in holders every friggin month? I bought a cute wax warmer light and a pack of vanilla scented soy wax pellets on Amazon, 2 years ago, for about $40 total, and still have tons left.
Scentsy websites are a dime a dozen. You can quit your own and buy from various random consultants if you need anything. Which you don't probably. Why spend a monthly fee ? If you are buying enough to get free things you are spending too much money.
Omg! And actually it’s not “tossing away” $50 a year, it’s losing $600 a year. The difference between the posts are people who are thinking critically and others that are not. How sad.
I didn’t hear one thing that would benefit the representative of the company. Scency or however you spell it is ready to clothes the doors but this has to be done first for legal reasons.
The higher are going to say oh this is nothing to get you to remain in because it helps their paycheck. Do a profit and loss statement and make the decision for you and you alone.
I’ve noticed that the posturing as ‘positive’ is a dog whistle to the uplines that they adore and want to be close to. For them to be noticed and hopefully get in the faux celebrity inner circle
That post you shared at 25mins has incorrect info listed. It is not required to have 250PRV every month. It is required to have 250PRV within (1) month every 12 months. So instead of them needing 200PRV in (1) month every year, they’ll need 250PRV every year in order to keep their Scentsy Account open.
However, to qualify for the 25% commission, the consultant needs to be at $250 or above for the month. Anything below that they will earn 20% commission.
Is it $50 more a year or $50 more a month? It seems like the 250 PRV was monthly, but then everyone mentioned annual. Man they make these things confusing. My short lived MLM, I never once earned a commission on my recruits because I never sold anything, and I told the people who signed up under me they'd never hear from me again.
To get paid at the title commission a month, they have to hit the new numbers. To remain considered active (be able to sell it), it's in one month in one calendar year. So these new numbers they have to hit, makes it so Scentsy statistically will be able to save money by paying less commission because most people don't hit the monthly prv every month.
18:30 ish As I have shared in my 3 part video series on my own MLM Journey, it took over two decades for me to finally be at a point where I can happily say I will never ever be part of any of these schemes or scams ever again. I had joined multiple MLMs, started to become anti MLM however hadn't fully deprogrammed myself and deconstructed it all so I got scammed one final time before I realised what I needed to do so that would never happen again.
How do MLM's justify requiring personal volume purchases monthly to 'stay active'? I mean, it's clearly just a scam tactic, but w/ in the pyramid scheme, what on earth do they say to justify that??
@@brightballoon , the cult BITE model is used. Unfortunately it starts off with big love bombing and lies of this is so easy etc. In my opinion they use toxic positive word salads. Commercial cult community magical thinking is used too.
@@NeroTypical Ah, they probably never give a logical, direct answer to it, but have little phrases to justify it that really don't make sense. Sounds about right.
@@brightballoon , most definitely. Lots of over information that contradicts itself too with shaming. Why that I like antimlm content creators exposing the "training" too.
There is also that pressure from uplines to just pay to get active at the start of the month and not to bother trying to make enough sales to get the prv needed. Because you need to be active for your upline to maintain their rank as well. So there is pressure from all side to just spend your own money to stay active and maintain the rank. Also most of the time you can't even collect your OWN commissions from personal sales unless you're active. And I know in itworks the leaders won't even speak to you unless you have spent the money to be active that month. literally they will not give you the time of day. Gosh this shit is so disgusting! Also you're really living up to your content queen legacy 😄❤
It's coming to an end soon. When I was with Stampin' Up! they changed some things with host rewards which would affect demos. They also acquired Close to My Heart (another MLM) [another great story there] and with that, I felt they fuc**d their current demos and just didn't get it. That was last year at the start of Jan/Feb I believe. It was then; I was like I'm out. After watching your videos, others, it just clicked and I felt gutted. It's ALL the SAME no matter what MLM. It was a few years back they got rid of their levels 4-5 for teams and, went to levels 1-3. SO MUCH I can tell you. LOL But like all MLMs unless you are on TOP, so you basically had to have started when SU first got going, you won't get anywhere. I'm proof, yes, I had some customers, but I was spending way more than I should have and then they have things that retire after each catalog. So lost a lot more money and had to resell at a discount just to make some of the cost back. Sorry it was all random thoughts, but this video triggered me. Ha.
Hey thank you for sharing this and I'm so glad you got out! Because of your comment on a previous video I've begun looking into Stampin Up...and the first thing that comes up is the daughter murdered her ex-husband and I'm like okee dokee...I'm planning a video on Stampin Up so thank you for speaking out! If you'd ever like share your story on my channel, you're more than welcome (and if not no big deal lol!) For anyone who comes on, you have final say if the video is published or if you want it scrapped. It's important to me for survivors to be in control of their story. Just with my cursory look at Stampin Up it's....YIKES. This thing has flown under antimlm radar for too long.
The truth of the matter is this, if consultants weren’t spending their own money to stay active, they would not be leaving because they would have the customers to help them reach their minimum goal. That is telling.
@@Mimi.2.k.and.c , uplines in many MLMs create a FOMO. In my opinion MLM companies purposely make it so that things sell out so participants buy more. There is a definite blindness to cash flow. When people get out, it's really telling about how much "stock" you see being sold off in places like Facebook marketplace. I've seen a lot of MLM stuff in second hand stores too.
For me, i try my best to avoid the middle man as much as possible when buying things. Lol. Know with the Internet, its even easier to buy products with no distributer needed.

Commercial cult indoctrinated makes participants shame participants to think this is a blessing and Scentsy only has their best interests in mind. It's interesting because most groups posted this news and turned off the commenting feature. So .... cough.....cough...tell me you are in a cult without telling me you are in a cult. Other places, if a participant was upset, there would be miniature dog piles of shaming the questioning. 🍿

Considering where the US is going with inflation, I fear MLMs will suffer.
And I am for it.
They are telling people leaving good send me your customers. A holes
Omg! And actually it’s not “tossing away” $50 a year, it’s losing $600 a year. The difference between the posts are people who are thinking critically and others that are not. How sad.
ADD ANOTHER 1 TO THE PILE!!!
I didn’t hear one thing that would benefit the representative of the company. Scency or however you spell it is ready to clothes the doors but this has to be done first for legal reasons.
Nothing says MLM like moving the goal posts on compensation.
In before “look, our company sales volume has gone up since the changes! We told you it was a good thing!”
I can't imagine telling people your salary us going down, deciding to leave and having people call you names! Good luck with this nonsense
The comment “you either can afford it or you can’t” hits the nail on the head.
Thank you for correcting this info.
However, to qualify for the 25% commission, the consultant needs to be at $250 or above for the month. Anything below that they will earn 20% commission.
@@danarich4854 that is correct
“Fart bomb” 😂😂😂
Lol!
Love all of ur content!! U r pumping out and LOVE to see it ❤
Thank you! 😀
Keep in mind people that this is a so called debt free company well then why do they need to change it? Idc if it’s only $50
The ones trying to stay positive....what are the positives?
Julie, as always great work. I love watching your videos.❤
Yay, the descent has already begun in 2025
There is also that pressure from uplines to just pay to get active at the start of the month and not to bother trying to make enough sales to get the prv needed.
Yup!
Track your cash flow and then track your time. Sadly, people will find out that they are making slave wages if they are lucky.
If you'd ever like share your story on my channel, you're more than welcome (and if not no big deal lol!)
For anyone who comes on, you have final say if the video is published or if you want it scrapped. It's important to me for survivors to be in control of their story.
Just with my cursory look at Stampin Up it's....YIKES. This thing has flown under antimlm radar for too long.
@@JulieAndersonvideos Do you have an email I can reach out to you with? We can "chat" that way. :)
And THIS is why you are not actually a CEO babe.
For me, i try my best to avoid the middle man as much as possible when buying things. Lol. Know with the Internet, its even easier to buy products with no distributer needed.
"For those of you who want to work" Jackie, we joined because of the residual income and time freedom, none of us want to work
Their stuff is so overpriced too. I make candles and melts for my job and honestly, theirs are half the size and just don't last at all.
That is slam ridiculous! 😂
Inflation is also a scam.
Or you can buy them at Walmart for $2.00😂
Hell, the dollar store has some nice ones. I use them a lot. My favorite are the aroma therapy ones.
Such bs from a scentsy consultant … taking what we have earned
I think all MLMs are bad, but if there were a good one, it SHOULD focus on individual sales being needed in order to earn off your downline.
I am seated 🪑
Sam Dee is brilliant!❤
scentsy is walmart quality with a Disney marketing budget and they’re not gonna survive the economy as it sits without changes.
Some are saying Walmart wax is now better than sce try wax scent wise where as before that wasn't the case
Remember when the Bodi reps said they were staying and the comp plan changes were GOOD. Well, Bodi isn't an MLM anymore so yeah that worked out well. I'm Scentsy really cares tho 😂😂😂😂😂
Great Video, thanks
Most of the people it seems that are doing the positive posts are also doing these underhanded digs, I'll bet you that mention of mental health was a specific jab at one of her downline because that might have been the reason they used to try and get out.
😅😅Fantastic
Commercial cult indoctrinated makes participants shame participants to think this is a blessing and Scentsy only has their best interests in mind.
It's interesting because most groups posted this news and turned off the commenting feature. So .... cough.....cough...tell me you are in a cult without telling me you are in a cult.
Other places, if a participant was upset, there would be miniature dog piles of shaming the questioning.
🍿
Good grief the FOMO they create 🙄.
Ive noticed you've been putting on a lil makeup lately; ya look pretty!
Hey hey, just comin back to this vid because i forgot to Like it :)
🙂
4 mins! Earlist I've ever been!
Good morning! 😀
I LOVE Scentsy scents so much. When I had found out that it was an MLM I got really sad. I purchased SOO much of their stuff on a monthly basis.. I haven't bought anything since. They always have tables at vendor shows so most people don't realize what they are. Though that one thing I can say, is that Scentsy is the ONLY MLM who hasn't tried to get me to sign up lmao
