As you know, I was enraged right along with you during the fiasco of the last set of changes. This time around was the final straw for me but i wasn't enraged. What I felt was disgust. Scentsy has consistently been sucking the fun (and perks) out of this whole deal for awhile now and I could no longer stand behind a company that shows such disregard for their consultants and customers. The very people that made them the billion dollar company that they are. That being said... girl, this video was everything! You are truly one of my favourite people. You're a straight shooter, no holds barred, honest, authentic and just perfectly you! I fully support you and respect your decisions and will always be one of your biggest cheerleaders. Thank you for being exactly who you are. You will always have my respect and my friendship ❤
I thought of you and our frustrations last time and I went to your channel to see if you had posted about it and your vids were gone! I knew you were not having any of this bullshit! And rightfully so! It’s just not justifiable.
You are so right!, I will definitely be spending less. Thanks so much for doing this video. I feel like Scentsy wants the “hobbyist” consultants to leave. Just my 2 cents.
I watched Dan's explanation of the changes yesterday, and it wasn't making sense. He said they're biggest thing is they want us to get new customers. Bring new customers in, it will build your business. How are we supposed to get new customers when we're screwing our current customers out of money by taking their best deals away? And I don't want to have to order wax bars for my customers either. I will, of course, but like you said, that's why we pay for a website. And when the consultants on the bottom rungs of the ladder, like so many of us not in a titled role, have a disagreement with these changes of commission, the leaders and directors say maybe you're not cut out for this kind of work, or maybe you need to move on. Really, are these the same directors, and leaders making money off the smaller people, but yet refusing to help them? I've seen in so many groups, how consultants have never heard from their sponsor, or leader, or director, until its end of month and they haven't met the active status, or end of term and haven't been active for 11 months. It's hard. I know..I'm there, I have trouble being active..I however have an awesome sponsor who I talk with daily. But there are so many who are just dollar signs in everyone above them eyes. I'm enraged, however, I'm not going to relay that to my customers, that will only kill what business I do have. Instead of taking away commissions until you hit 250 or whatever it is in the other countries, why not start by stop with the lavish trips to Bora Bora, and Cancun. Wow what a slap in the face yesterday to say we're taking part of your commission unless you step up your game and make more money, the whole time they are enjoying Cancun. Drop the lavish trips, drop the incentives and giveaways. Stop with the on location conferences. Just do it virtual from HQ. That will save millions of dollars. I was a 31 consultant for 10 years and I saw this same thing happen last year..in the beginning of the year, they changed the customer deals, and the commission, and said nothing was wrong, just restructuring, tightening the belt, yet they still had lavish trips. And then 7 months later they knock us down with the news that they were closing due to inflation and rising debt. And I just can't believe what I'm seeing in these groups when someone verbalizes their disagreement and expresse how it will hurt them financially, the others just attacking that person and telling them to move on. Like we don't matter to even the scentsy Sisterhood/brotherhood. Wow.
Spot on. And to think that these same directors are the ones who recruited hobbyists by telling them you can do this just to get the discount!! I haven’t had this problem. I joined on my own once I read the info and asked 1,000 questions from my sponsor I was ordering from. My upline is not bad but are trying to spin it as positive.
Mel, this video was 100% real and I’m so glad you made it. And canceling your clubs! Girl, you are so right - we speak volumes with our dollars. And vendor wax is amazing and Scentsy needs some competition in their space to bring it back to reality. Gosh I wish I knew the real numbers… so - paying $32.40 for a 6-pack vs $30. That’s an 8% increase. Literally a joke - turn away a huge amount of consultants bc of 8%??? How much profit do those people bring you?? Well now they won’t - It’s insane. MLM at work here - all the successful people tell you everything’s totally fine bc they are making money on every thing YOU sell! They’re serving up KoolAid by the gallon. It is disappointing and I’ll be cutting down my purchases as well - not even bc of the money but bc of the principle. Who wants to give a dime to a company that doesn’t give a ****! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. All the respect my wax friend 😊
I couldn't agree more. This is ridiculous. I canceled my clubs, and after being a customer and consultant for over 8 years, I will never purchase from them again. This level of greed gives me the ick. From a morality standpoint, this model does not resonate with me, and I'm out. More often than not, I'm disappointed in performance, and my bars always show up cracked and broken due to decreasing quality.
I completely agree with you! I find the bars don't perform like they used to and although Scentsy says they haven't changed anything, I don't believe that. I think they're making cuts on all levels including production quality.
Scentsy is a want and not a need. There are plenty of vendors who make phenomenal wax and are happy to make customer requests. You are spot on when you say Scentsy doesn't give an eff because they don't plain and simple. What they care about is their bottom line and lining their own pockets. We all see the decline in product and the cutting of corners, and for me this pretty much cements my desire to spend my dollars else where with a company that cares and listens to customer feedback. As a hobby consultant the MLM business model has always been gross to me, and this is just more evidence about how disgusting it really is.
Great video! I think that these decisions will eventually backfire on them. I am now contemplating canceling my website and slimming down my clubs/canceling. I have been cutting back on my spending also, I have been going several months without buying.Thank you for keeping it real
I haven't made a normal site order in maybe close to 2 years, I really only use my quarterly club or one off clubs for purchases. I have also drastically cut my club in the last 6 months and I have debated cutting quite a few more bars- I think I'm at maybe 15-20 bars. I have more than enough warmers that as tempting as new ones are I just don't need anything and they haven't really had amazing flash sales like 3+ years ago. A lot of the changes like you said it doesn't feel as homegrown tight nit community that it probably felt like 10 years ago. Its not cool that they couldn't even have a grandfather clause for reaching your #'s and this new rule being applied to new consultants from x date forward. I was a little wax crazy in 2016-2018 with scentsy flash sales but mainly vendor wax and I didn't really purchase Scentsy again until 2021 when my wax stash was down to nothing. I do currently have about 250 scentsy bars maybe 15 bricks, and vendor/retail wax another 150-200? pieces that would take me quite some time to work through. At the end of the day wax/candles monthly or bi monthly purchases of $100+ are not a necessity. Groceries, pet food and gas in the car hold a higher priority!
When they fired Lacey, they sent a message across the community. That was where the ruthlessness started. And there was zero transparency. That's the one event that really bothered me.
These changes will not be helping them grow. They are a sinking ship and flailing. There are a ton of things that I’m upset about but the biggest thing for me is the bundle and save. Once you start making it more difficult for customers they are done. This is 2025. People don’t do home parties anymore nor want them. The commission changes also piss me off but Scentsy is not my “job” so I can get over that quicker but that’s a big change.
@@Martha_FragranceCorner agreed! Home parties are a thing of the past. I avoid germs at all costs now. I would much rather shop online at my leisure and I think many others feel the same.
This is just crazy! I agree Mel im paying for website for my customer's to shop at their convenience! Does anyone know if we can maintain our Scenty Clubs from workstations? I think i might pull club or i might cancel workstation...not sure yet! I also am pissed off about losing my 25 percent commission for being certified....i was told when i started it was a lifetime 25 percent commission once i reached certified consultant...that evidently a lie! They should have grand fathered us in!
They absolutely should have grandfathered us in! Make the changes for new consultants going forward if you have to but don’t take away what you’ve promised us.
The big ring light kooks go after UA-cam channels that have high subscribers to turn into guaranteed sales consultants and then those ring lighters try to turn all customers into consultants. It is more effective than Tupperware parties.
You are so right Melanie. The last changes you mentioned at first were very upsetting but I choked them down. And now these. I’m a small consultant mostly for myself and an occasional customer. I won’t quit right away because I’m a wax lover and Scentsy is my fave but I’ll definitely cut back. The club will be even more slimmed down. Maybe it’s time they change their business model. I can’t believe you cut your clubs! I feel what you said- that you were holding on too tight or whatever. I need to let go a bit. There’s more to life than wax. I’m so glad you shared how you were feeling about this. I always try and remain positive but this is a hard set of changes all at once. Thanks for always being real! 😊💕
I think so many of us find ourselves in this situation where we love Scentsy wax so much but it’s just hard to stand behind it with these types of changes. But then I really do love Scentsy wax!
@@kimschroyer8367 I know they say they had to make these changes for financial reasons and I get that. It’s a business of course but some of these changes are extreme!
@@brighthousescents8987 what i don't get is how taking the buy 5 get one free bar deal off their site for customers makes any sense. Whats the difference if I order through you, or on line and get that deal. They clearly can still offer it if you can get it through your consultant. Makes no sense. The other thing that floors me is I used to have a consultant that had the gift of sales. She was great at Scentsy. Scentsy discovered she owned another business (not a competing product business at all) and canceled her because it is against the rules. If times are getting difficult why cancel a consultant that makes great sales every month. I just don't get any of it.
I think scentsy some years profits close to 600 million. Like, is 600 million not enough money for these guys!!? I think it's disgusting. I'm not mad, just disgusted, and will spend way less. @brighthousescents8987
Loved your outlook and how said it. They do not care! I do wonder if this is going to backfire on them since many that I’ve seen including myself are pulling back not spending more.
They don't care I resigned today... I was with them 5 years... I love Scentsy and will come back in 6 months and 1 day if they change it back... Which I doubt. When a bunch leave hopefully they will see they messed up.
I don’t think they’ll change it back. Honestly I expect it’ll only get worse for the Fall catalogue launch. I think many consultants are throwing in the towel and I support you 100% on that decision. I think they’re going to feel this one!
The nature of these changes were different. It wasn't just a change in cost, it was fundamental changes and contractual breaches. Those things won't recover and return when the economy improves. The model has changed permanently. And it was a middle finger to their consultants, the very people that built their company.
It's just corporate greed. Plain and simple. Get rid of those luxury trips if you're so penny pinched. Nope, they went back on their promise to their smallest, most basic consultants instead. It's breach of contract, TBH.
One of the biggest things that stuck with me as I watched the Zoom link yesterday was that customers are not purchasing as much. Hello...the prices are going up, some of the warmers are just outrageous in price. Many of my customers can't afford it and Scentsy is the first thing that they have cut back on.
I tried to keep it clean but the cussing was necessary 😂. Seriously though … we have amazing vendors like you and Melting Memories and I think these changes will start pushing more customers to explore the world of vendor wax even more.
@@brighthousescents8987sometimes the cussing is necessary!!! Lmao it makes us authentic idc! Thank you for your support girl it means so much as well!❤
I skipped my clubs for this month and I was just thinking about canceling them for good. I had 3. A monthly, bi monthly and quarterly that was all going to hit this month. All for around $100. After listening to this I'm motivated to cancel them. I'm spending less for sure.
All of this, just amen. I'm going to keep at it for now as well, and we'll see how it goes. I love Scentsy wax too much to throw in the towel just yet. I did however go in and start cutting from my Clubs this morning. Going to be more intentional about spending less as well. There are other vendors out there who appreciate and WANT our business. Big ick though all around.
I'm so happy you're doing a video on this! I'm definitely enraged, lol. I was already struggling with the mlm model because I don't typically support that. But I love the product. This just makes me not want to purchase near as often or purchase more from destashes so that I'm not directly contributing to this business. I am also going to cancel my website. And I'm still considering not being a consultant anymore. I'm my only customer essentially. I think they will need to change their business model at some point (just my opinion). Applause for canceling your clubs! I believe I will too!
Totally agree, I stepped back about a year ago, I still have a team but I am no longer working my business - I can't spend the time on something when I am no longer getting the returns and it was also around that time that another consultant said about scentsy club (just like you) “you'll always find another scent you love” so my club was cancelled when I stepped back and I haven't started it again. I always have in the back of my mind that scentsy make their MOST $$$ from consultants - not retail customers and I just refuse to line their pockets anymore! Still love the product and will still be a consultant but I also hate the toxic positivety culture with leaders!
All of the “little” changes add up. My breaking point was when they changed scent circles and could only buy them in a bundle of 3. That was the straw. My stash of scent circles are now coveted because I won’t buy more.
I agree I don’t want to spend $10 on scents circle for the same scent that made no sense and not any of my customers care for them they say they don’t last more then few days
yeah that one really frosted me bigtime! and I have people that only want one or two different ones so what am I supposed to do? buy 3 packs so I can break it and sell them individual ones? then I'm stuck with 2 or more that I can't move and i have to eat the cost....ridiculous
Well, I just canceled my website.. for right now, I'm keeping my club until I can find vendor duplicates for my faves, or I make them myself. I have been barely making the $200 to be active, but thanks to my mom's Club orders, I'd get close and then I could just order 6-8 bars and make it. Now that I have my own wax business, or enjoy supporting other vendors, it just makes sense for me to just be done.
@@brighthousescents8987 You should, even if it's only for yourself. But you know.. fragrance oil purchases are just as addictive 🤭 Plus, if you liked science in school, creating your own formulas is very fun and fulfilling, giving that same mad scientist in a lab vibe. Lots of fun!
The exact thing for me…. The struggle for customer to get that free bar discount when I have them all ordering all by themselves because I pay for the website. And I work so much I don’t always have time or they don’t always want to reach out. I’ll deal with whatever…. But it’s sad. 😔 it’s more on us and frankly I don’t intend to reach out more. I’m not a sales type person. You know where to find me! I hate feeling pressured and don’t want to do that to people. It worked. Oh well… I’ll do what I must with input but I will not change my approach.
Thanks for sharing. I agree with you. This is basic price increase, I saw coming sooner or later. I saw it 2 years ago, and this is how they did it. Take away the bundles from customers and increase pressure on consultants.
Melanie, great video. I completely think you are being practical with your choice. I think this is a lot to process right now. 😢 I am still so confused emotionally.
I think you're a smart lady. I've been with Scentsy going on my 3rd yr & I'm really enjoying my products. But I spend a lot & it's getting too pricey for me as my Club has grown so much. There's no way I can afford to try every scent they put out..wish I cld. But u r so right..I can't hold it so tight either & I've been considering cutting my Club way back. Thank you for sharing how u feel..& I'll keep watching ur videos 😃
Well with Scentsy Party’s in Australia it used to be $340 Aud roughly for starting host rewards and now it’s gone up to $425 Aud that’s $85 Aud more I struggle to get regular partys as it is so making it higher doesn’t really benefit me unfortunately.
Ha I giggled a bit when you said f#@k 😂. Scentsy is making very bad decisions for their business. I understand maybe the motive but just straight lies and trash moves they are making . Scentsy big issue is they have not listened to the costumer base for a long time. Dan and co have been doing whatever they want for too long.
Very refreshing to see some reality here and in the comments. Too many other places I see cult-like behavior ignoring problems and trying to put a happy face on everything Scentsy does.
Agreed. There is no way to swing this to make it a positive change so we just have to decide how we want to respond to it. For me ... I'll be spending a lot less on Scentsy going forward.
I am so annoyed because I finally hit certified status this month and was so excited to be at the 25% only for it to be taken from me. I only buy for myself so it’s going to be rare for me to hit $250 in one month. Also - maybe I’m just dense, but I still don’t understand why bundling bars would be a problem/loss of money to the company on the PWS but okay on the workstation. I’ve literally gone in circles trying to make sense of it, which makes me only come to the conclusion that there’s another reason they’re doing this, but not telling us.
I think their hope is that someone who wants to purchase wax won't want to contact their consultant personally and will just end up paying the extra money. They may not feel like reaching out or bothering them, so they'll just suck it up and pay the extra and then Scentsy benefits.
thats exactly what I don't get either about the bundle and save for the bars. Makes no sense. Its like they think we are stupid when they say we had no choice but to do it this way.
I have seen certain consultants on line saying this is a good thing because it weeds out the little consultants. It really ticks me off. I am going to spend less with Scentsy as well. I think I am taking the opposite route and keeping my club and only get my quarterly club 3 times a year. If a collection comes out I will throw the bars from the collection I think I would like in club and no longer place orders every time something new comes out.
Why do they "need" to weed out the little consultants? The little consultants are a large portion of their sales and probably the easiest part of profit. It takes far more effort to get new customers than to keep customers, dollar for dollar. It sounds like a witch hunt.
Fellow Canadian here and fellow consultant. These changes are extremely disappointing for both consultants and customers alike. Personally, I gave up the website quite some time ago as I only do local/family orders so it didn’t make sense to spend that monthly amount. But for those who do have a website, This just doesn’t make any sense to me as it makes it so inconvenient for everybody. I am mostly pissed over the clawback for our commissions. I worked hard to get that 25% commission and now you’re gonna take it away from me because I might have a low month? What about all the months where I probably spent Double, does that not count for anything irregardless, I am maintaining my club and will utilize it more for LTO‘s, etc. and will just throw the bars I want in that to ensure I am doing less orders throughout the year and only getting them in club with a 10% discount. Thank you for doing this video and kudos to you for standing your ground.
Go to Karla at Kaes just tell her the notes of your favs ... she is the best at duping and cheaper per oz. I will decide after 1/31 and my 2 customer parties close out.... the biggest issue pissing me off is the whole part of paying for a website and my customers have to call me to place their orders???? I am enraged yes!! When I was a customer I would go on late at night to place orders. I will not take calls at night after working all day to sit and place orders Nope not doing it. Great Video TY Stay Strong! I believe Scentsy will definately feel the wrath of this and it will backfire and F them all I heard from Dan today was the recruiting ... It's like a Pyramid
Oh it’s definitely a pyramid! I didn’t watch the zoom today, but I find end of the months since Orville has been back have been very sales and recruiting focused. I will distance myself from watching those. I will keep purchasing for myself and will likely cut down on my purchases. This is a hobby for me and I have no desire to recruit or sell
I know, right, get new customers. I do have several customers that I place orders for because they’re either elderly, struggle with online shopping or are blind or disabled and just don’t do well with some of the assistive technology. I don’t mind that at all, and I won’t mind placing them because I don’t have a ton of customers to start with. However, Like you said if they have to order their bars with us placing the order, then they’re going to have to play separate orders for clearance or flash sale items, etc., which would mean more shipping as well. The six bar bundle is a really good option and something that most of my customers who do purchase a lot of wax take advantage of regularly. if they’re local, I add those things in on my orders all the time but a lot of my customers are not and like you and me often shop late at night when it’s quiet, their husband is asleep or the kids are asleep, etc. I have thought for a long time that they could pass more of the savings to the consultants by eliminating some of these big expensive trips that only a small portion of top sellers are participating in anyway. Even if I was a top seller, it’s difficult for me to be away from home on trips that last several days because my husband has health issues that make that nearly impossible. A lot of people have commitments and instead of giving expensive trips to the top tier maybe they could spread some of the money around. that would be an incentive to some of the new consultants or those of us in the lower and middle tier. Maybe we’re not doing it as a business to pay all our bills, but it’s a little extra money, it pays for my habit which is purchasing wax and other fragrance products and I get to help a lot of other people enjoy these products and shop when they probably can’t do it themselves. I enjoy it and started doing this during Covid because besides Covid, my husband had a stroke and I was feeling super isolated. It’s fun and I enjoy it and I enjoy helping other people find fragrances and warmers that they enjoy. while I don’t like a lot of the changes I think the six bar bundle chain is the biggest mistake. That’s really going to hurt us being able to get new customers and make it really inconvenient for some of our current customers because I know they’re not going to be calling me at 2 o’clock in the morning to place their order. Even though that sometimes when I’m up shopping.
It really bothered me when they started forcing us to buy scent circles in pks of 3 so I"m pretty much done buying those - I prefer to buy individual ones and usually ordered 10 different scents at a time and would have been ok paying a little more for them but now I don't want 3 of any one scent so that's not going to happen....but now two things really bother me 1. they said 25% FOR LIFE once you're Certified, now it's only when you're "active" at an increased level so I think we should be grandfathered in 2. the 6 bars for the price of 5 on the PWS being removed sucks. I'm keeping my PWS for now because of my clubs and the flash sales etc. Before I was running around $600 a month or more and now I"m just going to do the the minimum- they fucked us over so fuck 'em
Yes! I too, will be spending less...i may eventually give up my site, but for now, I'll just be spending less of my money. My husband was wondering if they are trying to eliminate consultants and go public?? Just speculation on my part...quite sad, but I'll get over it too
I've been saying that for the last year. The signs are there. I think they're about to ditch the MLM structure. And if they do, getting rid of consultants is easier when they leave on their own. And Scentsy will continue to gaslight them, as the structure crumbles from the bottom up. "Maybe you just aren't cut out for this."
Thank you! 😊 I don't know if there will ever be a substitute for Scentsy wax because it's wonderful and I love it but I will definitely continue to share my thoughts on the different vendors and wax options I come across.
Yes and no. The day sears went out of business I realized anyone can go under. No one is immune. Treat customers right because once you piss off customers it’s over.
I agree with that, especially when its just wax. People don't have a ton of extra money these days. Wax is a luxury people can live without. I love wax but when I get ticked off, I can boycott like no ones business.
Yes they will see an impact for sure but the work around will be (if they bring back the bundles) will probably be that the bars will just go up in price overall. I’m just ordering through club (instead of bugging my consultant all the time)…. At least I’ll get 10% off every item instead of just on quantity of 6. Plus I’ll earn points for future purchases and get reduced shipping.
I saw one person mention how about them stop paying for all the incentive trips that they blow money on… that would save them a pretty penny each year… personally I am not a consultant. But you bet I’ll be limiting my orders from here on out…. MLM is horrendous to begin with… fuck that and is why Ive never joined.
At least Scentsy is a WANT and not a NEED. I’m right there with you and I agree!!! I will only be buying a couple times a year. At this point it’s all GREED!!!!! I just don’t understand and I have a feeling they will be regretting this decision but we will see
@ you are correct friend!! It’s to the point where it’s not even fun anymore. Don’t get me started on how some of the warmers are not ceramic and look cheap for the same price.
Melanie I know you had banana nut bread in your club because of a recent video that I watched of yours and I want to let you know about a vendor who has a phenomenal banana that I absolutely love and have re-purchased a couple times and is easy to get especially if you do a customs order and will continue to re-purchase because it is so good such a good banana bakery blend and it is from That smell good Shop and it is called banana sugar rush and scent notes are banana jam cookies, but also their banana nut bread is also great! You cannot go wrong with a banana bakery blend from that vendor! also, when sassy girl aroma comes back if you ever see Jungle Jiggy offered well girl you better get it because it is banana and zucchini bread and it is amazing! I got that blend as a wild card blend one time and fell in love best one of the best wild card I ever got. Also, RoseGirls has a new banana blend called Coffee with Donkey Kong I believe and it was in a Mario pre-order on another phenomenal banana scent. and those are all the best bananas since I have tried so far from vendor wax. 🍌💛🙌
I’m laughing. I think Scentsy takes themselves way too seriously and believe that we will just take whatever they throw at us. It’s clear that unless you are some hot shot consultant (or a Scentsy kool-aid mlm hun) Scentsy doesn’t gaf. 😆 At the end of the day, it’s wax. Do I love it? yes. But am I going to rake myself over the coals to hit the target to remain a consultant or get the 25% commission they said I always would? Nope. I’m going to keep my club (slim it down) and throw whatever new bars I’m interested in, in there to try. I think I’ll also cancel my website. What’s the point of having it now?
But if you don’t have your website you can’t get commission from the flash sales. You can only shop those sales through the website. That’s how they getcha.
@@brighthousescents8987 the amount of commission one gets from a flash sale isn't worth spending 18 dollars a month in my opinion. I don't have a site and if a flash sale comes along I just order from a different consultant. Flash sales have been so hit and miss anymore anyway. Its 216 dollars a year for your own website. I bet if you figure out the commission from your flash sale purchases it isn't near that.
Ive managed thru changes before but these seem ruthless like you say. Ill stsy a consultant but i am going to make changes too. Being able to do things for our customers , like i do a birthday club just isnt affordable. One grp kept referring to alot of us as hobbyist consultants. Not all of us can reach director level no matter how hard we try. These changes make it harder to bring people on board and to get people to move up.
@@susansmith8347 I mean aren’t “hobbyist consultants” the best customers? We’re totally committed to the brand and we consistently make purchases. We should be exactly what Scentsy is looking for!
Yeah, I feel like a lot of people are turned off, not just by the changes themselves but by the way they were rolled out. I've already had trouble finding consultants locally- so many people stopped selling- that I haven't even smelled any of the new releases in SEVERAL catalogs. So if I hear enough about something then I'll blind buy but it usually doesn't go well. So maybe it WILL bring in more customers for the consultants that are left, but I also expect a lot of them to just stop selling. And that's gotta be strategic/on purpose; Scentsy is too big to be that stupid. I'd love to just head on over to vendor world and probably will...the best thing about scentsy USED to be that I could smell them first, but at this point, I haven't had access to the new release smells in several years anyway so I'm just down to club bars and I keep that between 13-20 bars at the lowest possible frequency...
I'm totally with you. Changes always have to be made and prices inevitably need to increase over time but these changes were not rolled out well at all.
Seems a lot of companies are moving to an affiliate model, and I have a feeling Scentsy is not far behind. Stinks for the ones who have been in it for years, and have worked their way to the top. I am NOT a consultant, but used to be. I was my only customer, so I stopped being a consultant.
So, I really do think that they should care. There is so much more competition out there with other companies that sell their products for less and they truly are as good or even some are better. Really, the best part of the company now is their warmers in my opinion. It’s very sad that it’s turned into “just business”. I always have been proud to be a part of this company, but these changes are really hitting deep.
There are a few vendors that are actually WAY better than Scentsy. I was stubborn for awhile and would not purchase anything else but Scentsy, but I finally took the plunge and Wow!! I will never go back.
Scentsy will lose a lot of revenue because most people randomly shop at 2 in the morning. 😂😂😂 I won't be now because I want the 6 bar bundle deal, so by the time my consultant wakes up I will likely change my mind. 😂😂😂 Corporate greed I really believe Scentsy will eventually do away with the MLM structure, so many companies are dropping that and switching to an affiliate model.
@@Kaihowardmorris I’m emailing or texting them. It’ll be a process to communicate it all but I just want them to know they can still get the bundle deal through me.
I canceled my website, will save over $200 on that since my 2 customers that shop on my site can't get b5g1 free bundles anyways. My family & friends give their orders to me. I won't be able to shop flash sales without my site but that's also fine saves me money and with having to spend more money to close out parties I will be having much less parties 6 down to 2 most likely. My club I will keep and let it ship 3x a year. Going to give way less of my money to Scentsy from now on since they don't seem to appreciate the hobbyist consultants.
I dont understand either! Hard enough 2 sell with economy. My thoughts r that performance of products going downhill but price goes up.! Hard sell wax bar for price that last 24hours! Hard 2 sell. Buy one at Walmart 4 $2 that last 24 hours. Im not pushing anymore but will but 4 myself some ir consider other companies
Money. It's sad but true. I still want to believe that Scentsy is more than just a corporation but at the end of day they're not. It's a business and they're treating their customers and consultants as such.
While I’m enraged, I’ll mention how ridiculous the end of month videos have been recently? Are they a family business or a corporation? Pick a lane and stay in it. The bumbling lives piss me off.
The changes are not something I am thrilled about either but if something like this “ enraged” anyone you might want to step back and do something different.
I have watched your video and none of it makes sense to me. You have literally bashed the company but you say you are still going to remain a consultant. I have been a consultant for 5 years and I will continue to remain a loyal consultant that as you say I am drinking the Kool-Aid and it taste so good you should give it a try :). I am all in with Scentsy and have been since the day I joined. As far as the changes with the products I have no problem with it and I think it is more simplified for consultants and customers. The commission changes will not impact my business because I have built relationships with my customers that make my business what it is today. The fact that you feel the need to sit around and make a you tube video to bash a company that you represent is disgusting. Furthermore Scentsy listens to the idea that are put into idea share because that is where some of the collections have come from. Granted they may not implement each and every one of them on there but they do read them and implement them. Everyone has their own opinion your video is your feelings on the change and my comment is my feelings. Hope you have a great day :)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate that we all have different opinions on the matter and we will all be reacting differently to these changes. I welcome all thoughts, comments and opinions on my channel. Cheers 🥂
I think your 2 cents is right on the money! 🙌
Not just the hobbyist. I sense they're moving towards discarding the MLM model all together.
I’ve literally seen some say “oh good it’ll get rid of hobbyists and will help my business grow when I get their customers!” 😠
@@kristamcgukin6246 That's gross. I don't understand how some people stoop so low. They won't be spared when shit hits the fan.
@ 😮 unbelievable!
We need more Canadian vendors! 💜
@@brigettehaag937 exactly. I really don’t see how these changes will bring in new customers.
I have had the same thoughts about the lavish trips etc.
Agreed. It’s about the principle for me too.
I have been cutting back on my spending also, I have been going several months without buying.Thank you for keeping it real
if we all spend less (or not at all) maybe they'll make some positive changes but that's just wishful thinking.
I’m astonished that they didn’t grandfather the current consultants so we can keep our 25%
When they fired Lacey, they sent a message across the community. That was where the ruthlessness started. And there was zero transparency. That's the one event that really bothered me.
@ Lacey? Do you mean morissonblue?
@@frag_gdid the fire Lacey ? She gone the girl in the lives ?
@donnazitelli8557 Yes, unfortunately. Lacey was emphatic that the characterization of her termination be performance based. Very odd details.
I am so proud of you for cancelling your club.
You gotta stick it to the man as they say!!! 👏🏻
Really enjoyed your video!
🙌
We can maintain our Club(s) through the main Scentsy website if we don't have our own PWS.
@MikRemmulp Ok Thank You!
Me too!!! Ugh!!! I love it so much!! I just can’t give it up completely
You’re so correct! They don’t give a fuck! 😂

I wonder the same.
@@frag_g right? I thought I was getting 25% commission for life. That’s supposed to be the agreement.

I agree! Scentsy will get LESS from me too. More vendor will be in my future.
Good for u for canceling your clubs.
Yes more vendor wax for me too!
I skipped my clubs for this month and I was just thinking about canceling them for good. I had 3. A monthly, bi monthly and quarterly that was all going to hit this month. All for around $100. After listening to this I'm motivated to cancel them. I'm spending less for sure.
Me too
All of this, just amen.
Yeah exactly! You've put it perfectly. I'm going to be intentional about spending less as well.
I feel your rage wholeheartedly! I was so so frustrated with the last set of changes.
@@brighthousescents8987 Such a shame because it's a fantastic product!
I think there's a good chance they'll be getting rid of scent circles altogether down the line.
yeah that one really frosted me bigtime! and I have people that only want one or two different ones so what am I supposed to do? buy 3 packs so I can break it and sell them individual ones? then I'm stuck with 2 or more that I can't move and i have to eat the cost....ridiculous
You can totally make all the good scents yourself. I'm seriously thinking of doing the same.
I don't like feeling pressured or being the person to pressure either. It's just not my style.
Thanks for sharing. I agree with you. This is basic price increase, I saw coming sooner or later. I saw it 2 years ago, and this is how they did it. Take away the bundles from customers and increase pressure on consultants.
It was inevitable and I'm so bummed about it but I get that things need to change I just feel like they could have changed things in a different way.
I always throw a bunch in a club and get the 10% a 1/2 price and cheaper shipping 😂 I rarely buy 6 packs
That's the way to do it!

$85 is a massive jump!
🙌
I don't like Dan. He gives me ick vibes.
@ me too actually but so does Orville.
Very refreshing to see some reality here and in the comments. Too many other places I see cult-like behavior ignoring problems and trying to put a happy face on everything Scentsy does.
Yesss!!!! I get so tired of the toxic positivity about everything! Toxic positivity is still toxic!
I’m 99% sure that when the fall catalogue comes along they’ll do away with it altogether. It’s a slow burn.
@@brighthousescents8987Yes, I completely agree with you. Eventually it will be done.

If a collection comes out I will throw the bars from the collection I think I would like in club and no longer place orders every time something new comes out.
@@KiaraLemmone Love this! We can totally make choices to spend less and still enjoy the products we love.

This just shows that they never really respected the consultants who aren’t interested in making it a business.
And that’s how they recruited 90% of their consultants was emphasizing that Scentsy allows hobbyists!
It's breach of contract.
I agree. What about all the months we exceed the required PRV? But that's not relevant to them sadly.

Oooh Mel excellent point I forgot about the Disney partnership!! Very true!!
They're making enough money to keep their massive Disney Partnership ... so that's something to really think about.
I hate pyramid schemes.
Agreed. I just want to keep shopping simple for people!
There are so many more places to get wax melts now, they should be trying to get more competitive not less.
Agreed!
Loved your video!!!! They are a corporation! They don’t give two shits!!!!
🙌
Agreed! We should be grandfathered in for the 25%
I love your honesty and good for you for cancelling your clubs.
Thank you! 🙏
I think the signs are all there. They are globally recognized so they don't really need consultants anymore! I feel like it's only a matter of time.
I LOVE YOU FOR THIS!! Thank you for keeping it real. If you find a substitute for scentsy let me know.
Thank you! 😊 I don't know if there will ever be a substitute for Scentsy wax because it's wonderful and I love it but I will definitely continue to share my thoughts on the different vendors and wax options I come across.
I think all consultants should be grandfathered in or we pick a month we all boycit no buying or parties
I would absolutely do that!
Yes and no. The day sears went out of business I realized anyone can go under. No one is immune. Treat customers right because once you piss off customers it’s over.
Agreed 🙌
I agree with that, especially when its just wax. People don't have a ton of extra money these days. Wax is a luxury people can live without. I love wax but when I get ticked off, I can boycott like no ones business.
Yes they will see an impact for sure but the work around will be (if they bring back the bundles) will probably be that the bars will just go up in price overall. I’m just ordering through club (instead of bugging my consultant all the time)…. At least I’ll get 10% off every item instead of just on quantity of 6. Plus I’ll earn points for future purchases and get reduced shipping.
Exactly. Ordering through club will be he easiest way to do it going forward.
I just don’t understand and I have a feeling they will be regretting this decision but we will see
That's what I was thinking when I cancelled my club. I really don't need it so I'm letting it go. I can't have it all.
YES! Thank you for these recommendations. I actually just warmed Coffee with Donkey Kong and it was amazing! I haven't tried the other two but I will.
I’m laughing. I think Scentsy takes themselves way too seriously and believe that we will just take whatever they throw at us. It’s clear that unless you are some hot shot consultant (or a Scentsy kool-aid mlm hun) Scentsy doesn’t gaf. 😆
At the end of the day, it’s wax.
@@brighthousescents8987They are so Ruthless! They thought out every detail. Its pretty sick. Lol
@@brighthousescents8987 Do you know if you will still get commission from your club if you cancel your website?
@@lindseyrhynes4072 I think you’re right!
So what vendors u recommend? Last year I started making my own. Some good, some not the same but cheaper!
@@KarlaManess they really should care but it just doesn’t feel like they do.
I won't be now because I want the 6 bar bundle deal, so by the time my consultant wakes up I will likely change my mind.
😂😂😂
Corporate greed
I really believe Scentsy will eventually do away with the MLM structure, so many companies are dropping that and switching to an affiliate model.
I think you’ve nailed it. They’re heading in that direction for sure.
Scentsy Australia 🇦🇺 is $21.00 AUD per month for the PWS -$3.00 more than you .
@@TamarasPartys crazy! That over $200 a year just to have a website.
$27 in New Zealand!
How are you getting this information out to your customers?
@@Kaihowardmorris I’m emailing or texting them. It’ll be a process to communicate it all but I just want them to know they can still get the bundle deal through me.
You’d probably make killer wax - just saying 🇨🇦
I canceled my website, will save over $200 on that since my 2 customers that shop on my site can't get b5g1 free bundles anyways. My family & friends give their orders to me. I won't be able to shop flash sales without my site but that's also fine saves me money and with having to spend more money to close out parties I will be having much less parties 6 down to 2 most likely. My club I will keep and let it ship 3x a year. Going to give way less of my money to Scentsy from now on since they don't seem to appreciate the hobbyist consultants.
I'm definitely gonna spend way less with Scentsy. I don't mind giving my money to Vendor wax.

Back to Walmart !
@@spookyboyjones9373 that’s the sad reality.

I think the majority of scentsys consultants are their customers and they don’t want those type of consultants.
Right you are. They want their consultants to be customers AND sales people.
I just don't understand why is this happening
Money. It's sad but true. I still want to believe that Scentsy is more than just a corporation but at the end of day they're not. It's a business and they're treating their customers and consultants as such.
@ right? I agree. Like why are you taking our pay away from us just because we don't our monthly goal? Like really? 😒🤦🏼♀️

truly, Scentsy is so greedy, I am out
🙌
They forget who earns there money
🙌
While I’m enraged, I’ll mention how ridiculous the end of month videos have been recently? Are they a family business or a corporation? Pick a lane and stay in it. The bumbling lives piss me off.
I'm with you! 🙌
Cheers 🥂
