Saint Joan Of Arc The Greatest Christian Martyr Ever She Sacrificed Her Pious Life For Words Of GOD And For The Freedom of A Great Nation Called France.May Jesus Christ Son Of God Bless Her Soul
Lovely musical accompaniment to a dignified video, thank you. I look forward to visiting soon the birth place of my patron saint, exemplar and great heroine of her age and beyond.
The second story of the house was added in the 16th century by the Theisselen family (I think), and likewise their coat of arms above the doorway, the statue of Joan above the doorway, and likely the carved stone fireplace mantle and I suspect also the fancy glass windows. Only the ground floor dates from the 15th century and it must have been a lot plainer back then.
Just finished a book on her history. It may be the saddest biography I have ever read. Her trial after her capture is the most diabolical expression of abuse at every level.
thanks for the clip, actually it is believe that this house could be home of her, cause she said she used to live at the right side of the church, but it is not 100% sure, this was her house, even when a house could exist after 500 years
Thanks for sharing! I hope to visit someday. I will kneel and pray in the places where she had, so long ago. I went to Jeanne D'Arc Academy in the USA as a child. I have had a bond with Jeanne ever since. I am so passionate about her that I got the French version of Jeanne la Pucelle , Part I and II and the European format DVD player required to watch it, since the format of the DVD's is not readable on American DVD players. A US version is not sold here. I watched all 5+ hours while reading the English subtitles. It is the definitive story of her life and was worth watching every minute of it.
Thank you for the great vid, so very interesting to see views of her birthplace and home. The 'Maid' was undoubtedly one of the most amazing characters ever gifted to this world, a great soul that I would have loved to have personally met and spoken with. I hope that her cruel, devious and unjust persecutors (especially the Bishop of Winchester) received their due judgement at the hands of our Creator (and I'm an Englishman). God bless St Joan !
Thank you for this excellent video and music. I have been to Domremy La Pucelle 5 times and I love the peace and quiet and tranquillity. There is much in Domremy including la maison natale. There is a basilica and a fountain just down the hill from the convent. There is a church of St Remy and also a mill. Nearby about 40 minutes walk is La chapelle notre dame de bermont where Joan used to pray every Saturday I believe. I love walking through through the numerous woods. There is also a campsite near the Mairie off the main road. L'accueil du pelerin is a restaurant by the basilica run by Carmelite sisters which serves extremely good food. So there is a lot to see and do in Domremy La Pucelle however the village is extremely difficult to get to being in the north east countryside. I normally go by train to Neufchateau and either walk 12 kilometres or catch a taxi to Domremy La Pucelle. La maison natale is only a couple of euro to get in by the way but it did use to be free !!. Greux, the next village up on the way to la chapelle notre dame de Bermont has another restaurant, a church a bakers and a small stream. There used to be a hotel there but this is now shut. Mass at the Basilica is at 11 am I think and is usually pretty full. I have also been to Mass at the church of St Remy where Joan was baptised. I normally stay there for about 4 or 5 days in total. I wish you all a happy and pleasant and relaxing stay in Domremy La Pucelle.
It's not the same house, intensive renovations were performed in the 19th century. The original house, was a one floor design, one side for the family and the other for the animals. There were no rooms for the ''girls' and no rooms for the boys ! In the early 15th century, the family would sleep in one alcove, to keep warm. The windows on this present house are from the renaissance period.
Thanks so much for this video! Joan of Arc is my patroness and heroine and I would love nothing more than to visit France and the place where she was born, but being that I can't afford a plane ticket let alone an entire trip, I have no chance of getting there, at least not for a long while. This video may be the closest thing I'll ever have to getting there, so once again, many thanks and God bless you. :)
merci beacoup! j'adore Sainte Jeanne d'Arc je suis irelandaise my french isnt good :( so ill finish my comment in english i have a great devotion to Jeanne d'Arc and hope to visit in the summer for a few weeks. thanks for the video deirdre

Thank you very much, too, for your kind words..I really hope some day you'll come in France and visit this nice place...What you can feel in such a place is worthwhile...Your music and your talent, with your band will allow you soon to come overseas, I'am sure of that...So See you soon, Becky !
They say he's the future boss,(Louis XX). But, if he wishes to sleep in Versailles, he has to be humble enough to sleep on the floor of this house for one night. To symbolize his respect for Joan and his humility to the Catholic Church!

Thank you for this video. It is extremely helpful in my research for a novel I am writing. I will probably not have the opportunity to visit France for a very long time, so any material like this is wonderful! So few English-translated materials online that are accurate. :(
Sometimes God himself appears standing next to the statue of Saint Joan and Saint Catherine outside of Joan's Domremy home. The little dog from the OT canon Book of Tobit (Nineveh Collection: Tobit, Jonah) has been photographed at Joan's feet.
My present name is Stephany Fay Cohen (FaceBook). I was formerly Jehanne D'Arc (Joan of Arc). All my "Spirit Family" (St. Margaret, St. Catherine, Archangel Michael, Archangel Gabriel and many many others from my "Soul Group" ) and I thank you for making the lovely video of our home in Domremy. I experienced much love and joy in that house as a child/young adult. I (Joan) have returned to the "Physical World" and reside with my "Soul Group" in Kent, England ... Pierre (Thomas) and Catherine (Kim Sillen Gledhill) live in USA. We are in contact with each aother. Our spirits from 1400s still on in the house, as anyone will experience when visiting the property and its surroundings. I am in the process of writing "my/our" book called "Jehanne D'Arc by Joan of Arc". Much love, peace, healing and prosperity to everyone for 2014 and beyond.
I'm the reincarnation of Billy the Kid. Remember the time those two strange people from the future kidnapped us to perform at their history finals? I thought you were really cute but you didn't seem the type to put out.
+Stephany Fay Cohen funny how everyone that says they remember their past life was famous , no one remembers being a beggar or a murderer in his past life.

I tried searching for the thiesselen family and couldn't find any information on them.
Just finished a book on her history. It may be the saddest biography I have ever read. Her trial after her capture is the most diabolical expression of abuse at every level.
Indeed, but she defied her tormentors to the very end; we remember her for many things and we remember her for this.

So glad to see her house still standing strong despite the passage of time.
It feels good to be able to see the same thing that she once saw.
It has been restored several times over the centuries, it's definitely not how she saw it unfortunately.
Super, Merci
