- i’m back with the budget builds for like a month probably, this board is actually crazy though, both thock & clacks
and also i bought it for $30 of taobao, but off drop and aliexpress its about $40/60, so its not really clickbait xd

The Reason I loved this kit is due to the fact that it is super easy build, Ticks a lot of top tier features and most importantly it sounds good ! Good option for newbies into the hobby.

I think u should carry on doing the more budget builds from taobao because ppl in UK and US can usually get whatever kit u get from aliexpress anyways

However, there's a huge caveat in your logic. CIY GAS 67 on aliexpress is $20 more, and like 80% of the time the kits aren't even there. The CIY GAS 67, after rummaging around for an hour, was $48.49, which was the absolute cheapest which I could find.

You should consider doing manual focus when filming yourself- the autofocus is on the microphone in front of you
With manual you won't need to worry about not being in focus since you do it right one time and it stays that way :)

A good way to fix interference in boards is to fit a small piece of paper into the row which has interference in the stem of the keycap. This prevents the interference.
but the amount of paper you put in there will vary so all the keycaps will be a slightly different height
@@_origami_ i usually just put one layer of paper in there so it's good, normally it's just a small square of it

One layer normally does it right? And does it work with any switch

i do office work where i use different softwares and having the physical function keys row is crucial, i really wish there's a 75% layout version of this keyboard

you can still use oil kings with cherry profile caps because of a little notch on the top housing of almost all gateron switches

Heard Box Inks doesn't have interferance with cherry profile switches so it could be a good alternative premium linear switch for north facing boards.
CJ and Oil Kings also don't have interference since they all use gateron's new top housing molds.
Funny thing is this keyboard was on sale 2 to 3 months ago and only now it starts to gain recognition

pretty sure gateron oil kings have a housing that prevents cherry profile interference so u could have still used sum cherry keycaps

What switch did you use for the modded sound test? And what’s mods were applied?
Actually if Gateron oil kings is used, u don’t have to worry about the interference because oil kings are long pole switches
Err what? Since when Oil Kings are long poles?
I think oil-kings avoid interference (they have the new gateron molds), you should test this out
I thought the oil kings were molded to counter interference?
Also would the long pole stem of switches like akko cs negate it too?

I haven't seen too many reviews on this board, but an issue I had with mine was that the switches would never properly go in the pcb and the stabilizers, especially the backspace didn't spring back up. Is there a fix that you know?

i prefer flexy gasket cause stacked acrylic produces a weird sound profile im not a huge fan of

For the stabs did you just use krytox 205g0 or did you use dialectic grease on the wires or anything?

My problem is that I need a keyboard that is iso layout because I'm from Sweden, so if a get any iso profile board and put on some Swedish keycaps it works normal. But I have trouble finding a good sounding keyboard that is iso
your best bet would be kbd67 lite
there are no interference when im using Akko cs silver pom switch, but yeah maybe different keycaps brand has interference but at least mine is not

For EU gang it's closer to 60€ from either taobao or ali with shipping tho. Even then it's still great value.

My gas67 doesn't close properly, like the case doesn't wanna stay in fully but I can force it in and just plug in the wire. Is that normal because of the mount or is something wrong with my one?

does removing the silicone dampener actually give the keyboard more thocc? :0
According to Keybored, yes. You would want no plate dampener and thin case foam. Because thinner foams absorb high-pitch sound more than low-pitch ones, the lower sound gets amplified relatively.
