This is my all time favorite nascar game. The driving controls didnt feel as stiff as 2003 it was smooth. I like all the bonus tracks as well. This was the last game to have legends cars as well. I love how they had Dale Sr's Gm car and the plus car he one Daytona with, as well how it was updated to look like the cars of the time.
Hands down the top 2 games for NASCAR EVER are this 1, and 2006. This game has great graphics for 2003, has a lot of great challenges, has alot of entertaining game modes, and for 2003, has amazing car customization and gameplay. The 2006 game has SWAP, letting you go into a teammates car. If you wreck with a car upfront and swap to one in back you can give yourself wreck avoidance practice!
This game would make m bu a ps2 again because it was so good. I remember doing the lightning challenges where ou have to make it through a wreck and just do it all da necause it was so fun
I don't think you ever played any of the NASCAR sims made by Papyrus back in the day (NASCAR Racing 4, 2002 and 2003 Season). NASCAR Thunder 2003 and '04 were great games, but didn't equal anything close to what Papyrus made.
I was thinking about getting this game for this track and now I don't want to.A. The sand doesn't make a difference B. The pit road never had a wall C. the wall between the track and the ocean never existed D.there was little banking
Man I still got my old copy of this game for the PC, as far as I know it's too bad that this game doesn't work with windows 7 cuz if it did I'd be tryin to get this to work on my laptop but oh well

@bduddy55555 Totally stupid, the drivers would just get mad at the least bit of bumping and rubbing and I just got sick of them riding my bumper and just spun them out, end of story. This game was the best sim racer but I just got tired of that feature.

Too much rhetoric (You've caught the leader!) and sarcasm (You want to sit in the pits and let me drive?), and the vanilla PA announcer. I miss the full-field running order. No game since this one has had it.
ya know what? this is rediculous. All these new nascar games are bullsh*t. This one was 5 times better than all the others combined yet EA wasn't smart enough to make another like it. What a shame.

I think because of the epic music Nascar 2004 had on it made it 10 times better then it all ready was. Best nascar game ever hands down.

It's on 'extreme' which is the same as hard except there are no driving aids which is even hard.

The beach track was longer in real life. They just decided to shorten it for this game.
