Glad you feel better . My first puppy ever is coming up on 5 months and I'm constantly worried I'm doing something wrong. Either with food or sleep or exercise or playing. I love this little pup like a kid. Lol .

Had our 7 week old pup for a week. He has come a long way already. First couple of nights he didn’t sleep much. Now he sleeps longer during the night without waking us up. Can sleep right until 7am. But only last couple of days he has spent more time sleeping in the day. Closer to the 16 hours recommended. First 5 days was nowhere near 16 hours. Was hard to get him to sleep during the day. Shows he must be feeling comfortable now with his new home and with us
My dog sleeps during day sometimes like at 3!It was sleeping on me ...right now is sleeping on my lap...I mean is been 10 months he’s an adult but he sleeps through out the day ... when they said 13 hours a day 👀..... he sleeps laying next to me sometimes in the couch 😂sometimes in his bed.... he sleeps right after u play w him like if u stop playing with him that happens

does dog aware of the owner sleep time too at night and not bothering you during that time? knowing that if the owner usual wakeup time, so the dog will wakeup around that time too.
I was expecting my 4.5 mo old new rescue to be balls to the wall sunup to sundown. I had a purebred Black Lab whom I adopted at 2 years old in 2010 until 01/04/2020 when we had to put her down due to medical conditions (RIP Harley 2008-2020). Harley was batshit crazy from the time I got her in 2010 until she slowed down dramatically after we had her spayed (complete removal of ovaries and tumors attached to it) in 2016 when she was almost 8 years old. Even then, she had quite a bit of energy. But after spay she slowed down and started sleeping 8-12 hours a day. There at the end, she hurt her ACL and tore her knew joint, in which case she was never the same; she was essentially a 3-legged dog. She played when she could, and began to sleep almost all the time the last 3 months of her life. Now, got a new puppy I adopted expecting to be entertaining her all day. Just not the case. She plays for a few minutes and then takes a little nap. Walks and does her business, comes back, eats drinks and she’ll go nap for 2 hours. Is this normal?
My 7 week old pup is the opposite. Has too much energy. A lab/gsp mix. Struggle to get it to sleep during the day at all. But last couple of days has improved

You never introduce her to something new right away. You do if progressively. First time just show her the thing from a distance. Second time get closer and let her approach you, etc.
Im here coz my huskys still awake it already 11pm. He's 12 month old. Ive notice he sleep late these past few days usually he's already asleep around 9. What to do😓
More activity before sleep time. Gotta tire them out! They’re like toddlers at this stage I think, so if you an get some play time before bed at the same time every night it might help the pups sleep pattern better.
My medium size dog is now 6.5 yrs and has just started sleeping more during the day. Prior to that, he would be at my side all day. I think he is heading out of the adult dog stage and maybe the beginning of his senior dog days.
I just got my puppy today he played in the morning and we took him out 3 times to pee and poop he slept in between those walks and is now prob going to sleep till morning

My dogs sleeps for as long as they want! Usually 8 -10 hours a day. Some days are less. I let them sleep on their own time.
