I have had my dog, Martin, for about 9 years. He was a rescue, and it was pretty obvious he was abused. When we first got him, I let him in the bed with me, and he tried staying as far away from as possible. He would try to avoid us, and wouldn't let me pick him up. I left him alone, and would comfort him, and try to reassure him I'm safe. After about a year, he came up to me, and sat next to me. Another year after that, and I could pick him up, and cuddle with him. Now, when I come home, he runs towards me, and jumps into my arms, he lets me pick him up, and follows me around all day. All. Day. His most common sleeping position is when he lays out on his side. He puts his back to me, and lays with me all day. He is truly, my best friend.
I'm so glad u rescued him. All my dogs have been rescued & they all have been phenomenal! U are his best friend!! Always give him the love & attention he deserves. Dogs rule
Ur dog must love u soooooo much. For him to have that backstory and to have that much trust in u and for u to have that much trust in him, that’s an unbreakable bond u and ur dog share. U must not be able to imagine life without him. I share a bond with my cat, and I dread the day that she will no longer sleep with me in my bed. Take care of ur dog, like u would take care of ur family, and remember, he is family.
I got my jack Russell when he was a month old. My dad went to get me a puppy for Christmas and was looking around at all the jack Russells. He saw this one little puppy passed out on his back. People were poking and prodding him and other dogs were running around and climbing over him and he just slept through it all. So my dad decided to get that one because he seemed to put up with anything. 11 years later and he's laying next to me right now, fast asleep in that same position and snoring like a bear.
My first dog was a Jack Russell and had him for 12yr, s.But your dad but he seems a great guy with a big heart as he picked out a puppy that no one may have wanted and now look at the happiness he,s brought you, even if he snor,s.

How about 'The Husky'? This sleeping position is a mix off all of the previously mentions, including the bonus. But also includes climbing into bed with you (and your partner) and laying across both of you or deciding which pile of clothing is comfy and lay across ALL of it. It also includes becoming a doorstop/draft stopper, usually at a front or back door. Because that's my dog😂
Pretty sure it's a breed thing too. I wouldn't say a donut ball says the dog is untrusting of its loving owner, it could just be what it prefers due to body shape and breed type. My little chihuahua from day one as a puppy slept in a donut ball and he is spoiled so much with love and affection and completely in a safe environment. Happy tails and playful prancing all day long.

Cute visuals, great voice, but some of this info is incorrect or misleading. Dogs bred to be burrowing hunters love to sleep burrowed up. They're not feeling insecure. Dogs bred to have "pushed in" faces (brachycephalic breeds) such as bulldogs, have difficulty breathing and may sleep on their backs because it's easier for them to breathe, not because they're feeling unusually relaxed.
My labrador used to sleep on his back almost every night. Maybe some dogs really are just comfortable, because mine didn't have any problems with breathing.
I don't know about that. My pug rarely slept on her back. She usually did the snowball or the pancake and sometimes laid flat on her tummy with her front and back legs spread out. Maybe she didn't have trouble breathing.
My youngest Norwegian Elk Hound cross Cocker Spaniel sleeps in the snowball all the times. This may be because if she needs to get something or I bring her my leftovers she doesn't miss out on the extra food.
Both of my dogs like to do the sphinx, tight ball, and pancake. And its usually a pattern. Awwwwww I’m young and my dog all ways sleeps in the position we’re it feels safe next to me and when it’s late she goes into a snowball and Watches the door to protect me, I love my dog so much
The picture here is of my previous dog who bonded with me as no human. Having said the same, I have now another red Norwich terrier, all of eight months now, of which four with me. She sleeps on her side, exposing her belly, neck... or on her back. Recently, at a lunch with friends, she stretched out from my lap, half her body suspended, to lean her head on a much lower table, fast asleep. A photographer took a snap of her! I am filled with joy to see she is as comfortable in her new home. She arrived terribly sad... I guessed she missed her family, felt her pain, and tried hard to make up. In these four months, she has adapted to new sounds, scared stiff. I try to be in her place, understand her fears, and slowly, together we are becoming a team, overcoming such shortfalls. She loves now snuggling upto me when asleep... and upon awakening, is the delight of my life.. That expresses how much I truly love the company of this superior being.. superior to us humans...
Bro.. I didn’t realize how high I was until I finished the rest of this video and realized I just sat here for 10 minutes watching a video on how dogs sleep......
6:00 I once got mad at my dog and scared her and she curled up right in a ball then I started talking in a soothing voice to her and she went straight to her back. 😁
When my dog was a puppy and I would sleep with him he would be in a ball against the wall its only been about 10 months and now he's flat completely leaning against me with his head on my arm and when we wake up he just rolls into a dead cockroach until we actually get out of bed sometimes we even watch the sunrise together I call it the crusty eye sunrise cause his eyes get a little crusty
My chihuahua is more often a borrower as I always make sure he has a blanket in his bed with him. I think it's just the breed, he stays cold a lot of times so he likes a blanket. The funniest thing about it is his ability to "tuck himself in" as he is quite the pro at it.
My dog does the nose/tail balled up sleeping position when it's chilly in here ... they also do it as a "protective" thing sometimes but it usually has a lot more to do with air temperature. When it's warm he lays with his belly up on his back and legs sprawled out.
My puppy looooves to sleep as tightly curled in as possible, preferably against my legs. But when she’s napping she tucks all her limbs in and makes a little loaf, it’s so cute
6:39-6:41 that looks very, very, similar to my dog chilly, a boxer-boston terrier mix. We got him at a shelter and he was very cute. That was 3 years ago. We still love him to this day. ♥
The problem is my dog only goes to sleep when I call asleep, the rest isnthe time it runs a round like a madman until I close my eyes and don't move, if it hears me wake up it wakes up and runs at me
I would note that this is also influenced by the dog's body shape. One of my dogs has a very large chest and thin back, so it takes a lot of effort for her to lie on her back (it ends up being more of a wriggle), so she never sleeps that way even when she is very calm. To everyone saying that their dogs do all of these things, of course! Your dog has different moods at different times, and as is mentioned in the video, it can be affected by temperature.
What about when my dog sleeps with his head on something? If there’s nothing particularly comfy he will rest his neck on the edge of his crate often irritating his neck. But he seems to prefer having his head elevated. What does it mean?
Shayla Tickle I have been associated with both breeds , but never mixed , interesting combination, have a high strung lab male wouldn't want to see him mixed.
And I have a big, loving great pyranese boy! He is such a sweetheart but forget keeping him in a fence! We have a farm with 5ft no climb fence. He jumps over lile a deer!
Mine is a Great pyrenees/Pitt Bull mix he sleeps all ways but next to me in super man position, think he sleeps like that to go always get up fast to protect me. I love my dog.
I love how you explain in detail the various characteristics of sleeping positions, my 2 year old Beshon sleeps in a variety of them. I’ll need to start paying attention to them more closely. Thx for the insight
My dog is one of a kind, not only is he unique but he even once at a doggy training class let another dog stand on top of him with their front paws well my dog lay on his belly! He’s very care free and doesn’t seem to care for domaine one bit.
When my dogs sleep in their crate (they love their crate and it’s large) they sleep curled up in a ball or snowball when they sleep in my room they sleep the pancake or on their back! This video made me feel better

Awwwwww I’m young and my dog all ways sleeps in the position we’re it feels safe next to me and when it’s late she goes into a snowball and Watches the door to protect me, I love my dog so much
9:14 Hmmmm. Isnt every dog unique????
Exactly.
Indeed they are.
They are unique to the own self 😊I 💖my dog so much!!!!!!
Your profile pic is so freakin adorable!! What kind of dog is that!?
@@whitneygracelyn5504 awww thanks! Its a Pembroke Welsh Corgi!😊
My dog slept in a snowball position. It was so cute, cause it slept like a nest
My dog looks like a loaf of bread when she lies down

When your dog doesn’t have a tail: well

my dog is laying under my desk and with its legs on my feet in the pancake position. Hes dreaming and keeps kicking me haha. Love him so much
That's awesome. Sounds like it's reciprocated 😁
6:00 I once got mad at my dog and scared her and she curled up right in a ball then I started talking in a soothing voice to her and she went straight to her back. 😁
The "super man" position is known as the frog for my family because of the back legs looking like a frogs back legs 😂
Bella Meadowwall that’s the same with my family!
We call it "Flopping" 😂
Our family calls it frog legs LOL
Haha same here

I loved dogs for my whole life so all of them are cute
My dog sleeps in every position I guess that shows a lot about him 😂
When my dog was a puppy and I would sleep with him he would be in a ball against the wall its only been about 10 months and now he's flat completely leaning against me with his head on my arm and when we wake up he just rolls into a dead cockroach until we actually get out of bed sometimes we even watch the sunrise together I call it the crusty eye sunrise cause his eyes get a little crusty
so much love...beutiful 😍😍😍
Beautiful connection
❤️❤️
❤️ must be special
Aww poor snowball doggy dont be scared or cold I'll protect you and cuddle you
I’m so hyped for the 40 million subscriber special!
My chihuahua is more often a borrower as I always make sure he has a blanket in his bed with him. I think it's just the breed, he stays cold a lot of times so he likes a blanket. The funniest thing about it is his ability to "tuck himself in" as he is quite the pro at it.
My chihuahua also dose that
My dauchsand also likes to burrow, I think it's just instinct.
Hahaha so funny thank u for sharing!
is it weird that my dog does all of these
raeleigh dial No, it has different feeling at different times.
My dog dose
Super weird...it means your dog is racist. Sorry man
Yes it is weird no other dog has ever done that
Not really. My dog does it too
While I have to work on one of my biggest clients, my brain: *"What a Sleeping Position Can Reveal About Your Dog"*
+BABY - Become A Better You ...LOL...
BABY - Become A Better You ...lol
BABY - Become A Better You I will I promise. I want with me
BABY - Become A Better You. See you soon k
Because doggies are infinitely more cute than any clients :)
My dog does the nose/tail balled up sleeping position when it's chilly in here ... they also do it as a "protective" thing sometimes but it usually has a lot more to do with air temperature. When it's warm he lays with his belly up on his back and legs sprawled out.
Whenever my dog sleeps curled in a ball position I think he’s like a little bean hehaha
He's a jelly bean!
I always say that about my dog! Lol she looks like a little bean ❤
My dog actually looks like a little egg when she’s curled up because she’s the same colour as a brown egg it’s so cute
Yeah mine does that to
He’s a football
My puppy looooves to sleep as tightly curled in as possible, preferably against my legs. But when she’s napping she tucks all her limbs in and makes a little loaf, it’s so cute
Me: how do you want to sleep tonight?
My dog: YES

6:39-6:41 that looks very, very, similar to my dog chilly, a boxer-boston terrier mix. We got him at a shelter and he was very cute. That was 3 years ago. We still love him to this day. ♥
The fake laugh is very unsettling
What time stamp?
Find out
Yasmeen Judeh 5:30
And the narration itself seems quite patronizing. Maybe this is meant for kids?
Neuhuhaha
This video didn't need to be ten minutes long.
Shane C yeah but look how many dogs there were
new youtube standards it needs to be 10mins or longer, if it's under 10mins they don't get paid
Wah!
what do you want then?! 0:05? xD...jk
Lol he just wanted money
The problem is my dog only goes to sleep when I call asleep, the rest isnthe time it runs a round like a madman until I close my eyes and don't move, if it hears me wake up it wakes up and runs at me
I love watching BRIGHT SIDE videos and am subscribed and I hit the notification bell
My dog did the cockroach and I said to my dad
"I think Ginny died"
bruh moment is that a david pfp :o
@@user-lh5yz9mp8h yes indeed
My dog does cockroach too
Kiyan Wheller ah, yes, perfect person.
B right side saved u, nice name
I would note that this is also influenced by the dog's body shape. One of my dogs has a very large chest and thin back, so it takes a lot of effort for her to lie on her back (it ends up being more of a wriggle), so she never sleeps that way even when she is very calm. To everyone saying that their dogs do all of these things, of course! Your dog has different moods at different times, and as is mentioned in the video, it can be affected by temperature.
I have a boxer and he’s too slim and his chest is too big for him to lay on his back so he just falls over 😂
Lol
I have two boxers
Lol
Boxers are the cutest dog ever
😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely a pancake! It’s her favorite after a day of school or a walk/playing with her best friend. She lays down and does the pancake,

whenever my dog gets sick, she sleeps in the curled up in a ball position. And you were right.
This video is so accurate when it comes to my 9 wk Goldendoodle💕 Demi is all the above!
What about when my dog sleeps with his head on something? If there’s nothing particularly comfy he will rest his neck on the edge of his crate often irritating his neck. But he seems to prefer having his head elevated. What does it mean?
my dog sleeps in the pancake. she is a 7 month old lab mixed with a Great Pyrenees. she is my best friend and she is so protective of me.
He jumps over lile a deer!
my pyr does too. 8 months old .
Thats a great mix. Great Pyrenees and super protective and independent, and labs are...just great?
3:11 that doggie reading a book with his owner is soo cute🐶🐶

Kamikaze Crash that’s so cute!

what happens when your dog sleeps in every position.

My dog sleeps mostly in the "pancake" position but also in "The dead Cockroach" so proud to be a trustworthy owner for my pup 😂💞

When my dogs sleep in their crate (they love their crate and it’s large) they sleep curled up in a ball or snowball when they sleep in my room they sleep the pancake or on their back! This video made me feel better
