The lyrics are structured in a very clever way, I think. There's two very obvious double-meanings in the first few lines that are intended to arouse suspicion (the very first line, before he continues, is "I only need you to run," and then sings "Or be afraid! It's your choice.") But then the lyric section mostly stops in being such explicitly ominous. There's definitely ways to interpret the rest of the lyrics as creepy, but there's very few obvious double-meanings in them. It's just general inspirational stuff that Sonic would probably actually say. This whiplash creates (to simplify things) two different reactions. People who see entire lyric section as ominous will be kept on guard as the Faker throws out very generic sugary "inspirational" things, with the creepiness deriving from somebody who obviously doesn't have your best intentions pretending they do. So when he finally drops off the mask after pretending for so long that he was a good guy, it feels good to finally be proven right. I, however, had noticed the creepiness of the first few lines, but then got absolutely suckered in by the actor's voice and Sonic's attempt at inspiration. I knew that there was something off, and I saw the thumbnail of another video so I knew this was an EXE song, but I still fell for it. So the reveal that he's just a Faker gives off a- "wait, I was tricked!" feeling, but also creates a lot of replayability factor for the video where you can relisten to the lyric section and realize that it was all just a ploy. Or be like me, and get suckered in every time. And I think that's just really good songwriting! Hats off to y'all!
Another thing that I noticed myself, is that in the menu, the T in *Rodent* is capitalized, giving the name a double take of RodentRap and RodenTrap You're rapping, against a rodent, yeah, but it's also a rodent trapping you. You can tell it's eerie just from that part of it.
i had the assumption that this was a exe song because sonic had his back turned against bf, which is was most exe mods make exe do in their faker form. but at the same time i wasn't sure because they actually made the faker section really and i mean REALLY good. I also like the fact that in the faker section sonic is actually singing rather than sings the normal "a e i o u" vocals. the art is also insanely good. so overall i give this amazing mod a 8.5/10 :))
I love how Sonic is depicted here in the mod. It really shows when he gives some encouragement to BF throughout the entire song, really positive of him! It's almost as if he's encouraging us as well.
I love how "scraggily" they made X look here. He looks "mature" and "older" in a way and actually feels like an entity just using the image of sonic as a gateway into the real world. THIS is Sonic.exe done RIGHT while also staying faithful to the original.

3:35 to the end is far and away my favorite part, it has the strongest dread inducing vibe i've heard from fnf in a while. when this mod comes out, i will be very suprised if it doesn't dethrone sonic.exe 2.0
im going to be honest even tho the quality is so Peak! it probably won't Dethrone it because sonic.exe 2.0 was the very FIRST biggest exe mod to ever come out and alot of people played it so its going to be a staple to the fnf community
@@waffie6785 I understand that, but if this is the first song from the demo version, I don't even know what the final and bonus songs will all be like. it probably won't have the same scale and variety of songs as 2.0, but it will have a much higher quality consistency and most likely have better songs overall. it probably wouldn’t because half the people that were in the community a few years ago would be gone and when sonic exe v2 came out, the community was at its peak so in popularity it might not dethrone the mod

1:40 I just noticed that X kicks a skull on the ground at bf to reset the health bar and that the skull just entirely disappears This mod is only a demo and it’s so high quality
My favorite detail on this song are the piano in the background at 0:40 (its during the whole singing section actually but you hear it more clearly here) : its the same piano of the OG Too Slow, and its one of the hints that says "There's something wrong here", love it
1:24 This transition is so unbelievably good. Amazing cutscene, amazing conversion from Sonic's voice to Sonic.EXE's voice, and amazing laugh for Sonic.EXE. Song only gets better after this part as well. All of it combined give me chills, AKA it's awesome. On top of the transition, the mod's UI /HUD also changes after Sonic.EXE reveals himself, main example being the new fonts used for the UI. The Accuracy also gets X'd off which is cool, guessing that has some meaning in-game (though I haven't played so idk). Timer also gets reset, which only makes the fake out Obituary pulls off even better thanks to all the other items in play. The main menu also changes as the RodentRap veil is off. Really cool how well-made the fake out was; game copied the old FNF menu and all that when playing for the first time. So much effort was put into just this one song, and it blows me away. Team did an amazing job. Guessing this build is only the beginning taking the freeplay menu into account, of which has many, many, many empty slots waiting to be filled. It's nice having a new mod to eat up and wait in anticipation for; I was worried Mario's Madness would be it for FNF, but the community just keeps on giving. Love it bruv. Bw3na, Landy, and yourself popped off very hard with Obituary. Wish the best to the development team moving forward!
There's always gonna be people making stuff for this community. Exe and pasta mods do have effort in them if they try and this is one of them. Same with pibby mods. Pibby apocalypse is really good.
Something I’m not seeing many people notice; The name of the mod can be read as “Roden Trap”. Roden is described as many things, but often referred to as a Red Valley. Looking at Phase 2, it’s clear that Green Hill is very much of a Valley that has become distorted. Blood stains the land, statues and the water. In a way, it is a Red Valley. And, for the trap part? It’s obvious; the mod is a trap. Honestly, intentional or not, it’s a clever mod either way. I like it!!

Another Churney Gurney masterpiece for me to gush about? By all means!! 0:00-1:36 I love this entire segment. Sonic.exe played his role perfectly as the deceiver. His song sounds "upbeat" and "uplifting" and has deceived many people thinking "this is Sonic giving BF/the player encouragement!" No. That's wrong. And if you pay attention to the lyrics you'd see it. "I only need you to run" That right there is already a subtle hint on his true intensions. "You can stand up and fight or be afraid, it's your choice" Exactly how his games usually go. You can either stand up and fight against him by playing the game. Or be scared and cower in his world. The end result is the same. It's simply your choice on how you die by his hands. "So stay within that box, or set yourself free, *for me* " That right there. Either cower in fear or open yourself up to his game. That emphasis on "for me" makes the entire intension clear for anyone that knows how Sonic.exe works. And this entire intro song is absolutely perfect in how it embodies this demon. Sonic was never in this mod. He's just the bait to get you into exe's game and you fell right into it. 1:36-2:44 Okay, where the fuck do I even start with this? The first time I played this mod I had no idea it was a .exe mod and only came to my realizations after playing the mod again for the 7th time. And seeing exe pervert Green Hill Zone to this level is something we don't see often with exe mods. Sure we see dark and creepy versions of the zone in other mods (such as the Lord X Cycles Encore mod) but not to this extent. The dismembered Flicky in the background with its frantic pained churps being heard is the pinnacle of flipping a concept on its head. In Green Hill Zone you hear birds because it's a zone teeming with life and is peaceful. But here in this dark hellish abyss the birds aren't chirping because it's peaceful. They're cheering because they're in immeasurable agony and cannot die. No one can in Sonic.exe's sick twisted world. Also just as a good side note I love that Sonic.exe just kicks a flicky at you and laughs. It's so cartoony that I couldn't help but laugh. 2:44-4:45 And there it is. The famous "Game Over" screen from the OG creepypasta that's both famous and infamous. Knuckles got FUCKED up. And Eggman has seen better days. It's hard to believe they aren't even dead. Just constantly living in those impossible conditions as souls. 3:20 "Soul Black as the Night, Heart Cold as Ice, Your Pain and Torment, My favorite Vice" (not really any gushing or observations just cool lyrics I figured fit that part) Overall this mod is peak. 10/10 Sonic.exe fans are keeping FnF alive. Since literally nobody is modding for this game because of the community. Appreciate you Churney.

Something that i also noticed at the end of the faker part is that when he says "i knew you had it in you" it doesn't refer to his talent or skill, but his soul. Thats what he wants and he now knows that bf has it in him. He also mentions the same point when he says "the beautiful sound that stands from the depths of your soul, also referring to what exe wants in him. I might be wrong thought but i thought it'd be pretty cool to think of it that way

Not to mention, 'let the sound of it guide' you could be like "ooh look at all these pained souls, come closer and keep looking for the source" A good example of this is You Can't Run, Knuckles is minding his business in Scrap Brain, yet follows the blood trail to find the culprit, only to be found instead. Same with Hill, Tails is happy to see a familiar face through the blood-stained grass, and yet familiar is far from what he experienced.
I see "the beautiful sound that stems from the depths of your soul" as X relishing in the agony and suffering he brings the souls of his victims through, and the final stanza of the lyric section could be a reference to the history of Sonic.exe as a whole, sticking around to this day in spite of a turbulent history back when the story was made
I love how it isn’t just metal guitar n’ all, rather taking a more menacing and sinister approach but still being a complete banger I also love that strange sound that plays throughout most of the song, mainly the first part also the way his voice shifts when he says “Do you want to play with me?” actually creeped me out a bit
The line where he says they are here to stay and that they wont go away is actually kinda true, i mean fnf mods and sonic mods have stayed for so long, and they dont seem to be going away. Really good choice of lyrics!
God , i love the sprites of sonic at 3rd phase , he looks so out of place and so intimidating it almost creeps me out. Also , the buildup for the drop was pretty unnerving and the drop itself sounded so dreadful. Amazing work sturm , peak after peak. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the lyrics are amazing too and the fakeout feels the most real out of all fakeouts of sonic and its probably the best one in fnf

1:37 I like how when X kicks a skull to BF’s Face to regain health, the skull isn’t there anymore since it flew to the background afterwards. It doesn’t mean shit but I find a lot of fun in finding out about small little details that have no impact on a piece of media whatsoever.
The beginning of this song is truly a moment where I felt at peace, and peace will always be there everytime I listen to it I never thought I could feel that way in a song
The "Free-4-Me" part oddly feels genuinely uplifting to hear Like an Artist preaching to the crowd that we ain't going nowhere, probably lookin' a little deep into it but yeah, good song
One thing i like about this mod is that if you go into the files before obituary, you will see no trace of EXE anywhere, they purposely hid EXE in the files real deep and dont appear until you finished obituary.
The beginning is a reference to the Japanese manuals of the classic Sonic games Sonic has dialoge in I believe 1,2,and CD that basically are him explaining his beliefs and morals. Kinda somber for our Blue hero...but it also kinda shows Sonic's always been kind of poetic to some degree.
Okay, I feel like nobody's talking about it, so I will. This goddamn build-up is so good. There's this stark turn in rhythm, as if X was warning you of the upcoming speed escalation. And the vocals are so unique, I've never heard a song with this motif before in FNF. 3:18
Roden is a strange German word, as a name, it means "Red Valley", meanwhile as a normal word, means to "harvest" or "pull upwards". I may be reading too far into this, but if we take the name of this mod to say not "Rodent Rap" but "Roden Trap", the strange meaning we're left with is "The Red Valley Trap" or "The Trap that catches from above". Again, probably looking FAR too into it, but it's something strange that I found.
Absolutely the intent, to my knowledge. Hinted at by the logo having the T capitalized and the fact that there’s an unused sprite of 2011x being puppeted higher in the sky “upwards” Also, a common trap is some sort of contraption that lifts you up in the air by the foot or by encasing you in a net. Take the Ewok traps from Star Wars for example. So a “Roden Trap” is something that’s existed for centuries and likely what the title is referring to.
It could also just be interpreted as Roden meaning nothing, and the team just wanted the Trap part capitalized and didn’t care for the leftovers. Or it could be referring to “Rodent Trap” like a trap that catches and kills rodents such as rats and hedgehogs.

faxx, i thought i was gonna get a really cool normal sonic one shot mod for once, but honestly the absolute lengths they took to pull off this absolute bait and switch is something i can't complain about!
From the very start, the suspicion is full on sight. Those lyrics do sound something out of Sonic's philosophies, they can easily be applied to 2011 X. I cite the following lyrics as examples - "I only need you to run" seems pretty obvious. - "You can stand up and fight, or be afraid! It's your choice!" is more or less the dichotomy of how the pre-2018 Sonic.exe fandom, and characters within .exe games, see the titular X. - "So stay within that box or set yourself free" refers to X's desire to "free" humanity by trapping them in his game, ironically putting them in a greater box than reality. - "We're here to stay, We'll never go away!" is similar to that of many lines referring to X's immortality.
This actually tricked me wtf. But anyways lemme tell details I found interesting about free-4-me. First, I like how well X manages to act like the real Sonic, it’s really well done! Second, I don’t think anyone really cared but pay attention to the lyrics: you can see that meanwhile some of the stuff that "Sonic" says fits with him there’s something’s that make it obvious he isn’t who he wants us to believe. Words like: "I only need you to run" and "You can stand up and fight or be afraid" alongside "Set yourself free for me" are definitely a red flag. and the way they interpreted green hill during the phase after 1:36 is absolutely terrifying. Just seeing all of the animals being either dead or being hung by their own flesh is just… wow. Gotta say, this is the perfect revival for me.

I really love EXE’s sprites here, and the lyrical beginning for the faker form is so amazing, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that ever done in an FNF mod. To top it off, your composition for this song is amazing as usual! I can tell this mod is gonna be something really great. Huge respect for you and the team behind this mod, and I can’t wait for whatever may be next with this mod!!!
This is what Ive been waiting for! A mod that perfectly fakes out the player like how the original story protrays it, giving you the promise of a time with Sonic to turn into q horrifiying experience. They even hid the exe assests inside of their source code so no one can spoil it for themselves! Your work on this brings it to another level as well, I love the double meaning of Sonic's lyrics, both sounding like his character very well while having menacing undertones to it if thought of from a certain perspective, foreshadowing the reveal right around the corner.
My favorite detail is how bf kinda acts how the player is thinking. At the start of the song your first instinct upon seeing his back turned and the first few lyrics are to think “oh this is definitely going to be an exe song” so bf has a very ominous sort of tone but as the song goes on it starts to fool you again because the tone of the song and the lyrics start sounding more like actual generic stuff Sonic would say so bf starts going along with it too idk I thought it was kinda neat
The first part felt refreshing! Unlike any other .exe fakeouts, there’s no “uh oh scary thing” music; it’s just peaceful music. That fakeout was never expected.

I loved this mod, I would have never figured that JoedoughBoi would have ever made a fnf mod. I like all the references, the lyrics and art. would be really cool to see the original exe in this in the future!
@@AltKaxREAL they are still working on it, however it’s obviously been taking awhile because of two reasons. Lack of motivation. So many breaks in between because Rerun is by far the BIGGEST FNF Project, so far being 4 GB.
Honestly I absolutely loved this! The thing that other EXE mods do in seperate terms is that they present themselves as dark, bloody, and evil from the minute you start up, in some aspect. Here? Nothing. At the start at least. But that's the point. It's even a similar case with Too Slow Encore. It was trying to be a Sonic fakeout at the beginning, but it was just quite frankly TOO obvious. Why would Sonic all of a sudden know how the Hill.Gym theme goes? It's like Rewrite said in a lyrical cover from a while back, "Isn't it odd how this facade breaks apart as soon as it starts?" That's the one flaw most EXE stuff has. Here, it actually tries a lot hard to trick you, and for the most part, it works. Props to the team!

Joe, Gibz, and everyone else involved did a great job! the foreshadowing that something was wrong but still manages to surprise you when "EXE" reveals himself its SOO GOOD!!! I’m very excited to see what you guys have in store for future updates!

Facade (which I'm assuming was the first song before this was made)may have been pretty cool, but Obituary beats it by a long shot! The faker segment that legitimately fooled people (if the comments are anything to go by), the legendary voice acting from Landy, and your amazing music skills all came together to make something truly special! Excited to see what else you do and what becomes of Sonic Legacy!

Obituary has easily cemented itself as my favorite FNF song. Churgney and the rest of the team on this mod cooked so hard. This mod and song are brimming with personality and honestly I'm all here for it. The fakeout section is so beautiful to listen to. Looking forward to this mod's future
X kicking a flicky skull at BF and laughing is always just so genius to me. I love Sonic.EXE takes that mess with the game UI and aren't always complete Maniacs instead able to crack a joke sometimes its great and incorporating it into one of the official takes is amazing.
i love how in the first part of the song theres still foreshadowing to sonic being sonic.exe, like the lyrics telling boyfriend “i only need you to run”, or “you can stand up and fight, or be afraid”, the record scratch in the background which is commonly associated with lord x, the dead flower off to the side, sonic looking away from bf with closed eyes just like in the original creepypasta, and perhaps the most glaring foreshadowing which is the literal eclipsed sun in the background
After watching this once and then in more time, I just realized how referential the beginning part is- In the original creepypasta, after Hill act 1, Sonic is standing there with his back to Tails, and then he opens his eyes for a split second to reveal the black and red, Just like in the mod I know this was like, obvious as Hell, but I just realized and wanted to point it out cuz it's so cool

i had the assumption that this was a exe song because sonic had his back turned against bf, which is was most exe mods make exe do in their faker form. but at the same time i wasn't sure because they actually made the faker section really and i mean REALLY good.
I also like the fact that in the faker section sonic is actually singing rather than sings the normal "a e i o u" vocals.
the art is also insanely good. so overall i give this amazing mod a 8.5/10 :))

1:24 This transition is so unbelievably good. Amazing cutscene, amazing conversion from Sonic's voice to Sonic.EXE's voice, and amazing laugh for Sonic.EXE. Song only gets better after this part as well. All of it combined give me chills, AKA it's awesome.
On top of the transition, the mod's UI /HUD also changes after Sonic.EXE reveals himself, main example being the new fonts used for the UI. The Accuracy also gets X'd off which is cool, guessing that has some meaning in-game (though I haven't played so idk). Timer also gets reset, which only makes the fake out Obituary pulls off even better thanks to all the other items in play. The main menu also changes as the RodentRap veil is off. Really cool how well-made the fake out was; game copied the old FNF menu and all that when playing for the first time.
So much effort was put into just this one song, and it blows me away. Team did an amazing job. Guessing this build is only the beginning taking the freeplay menu into account, of which has many, many, many empty slots waiting to be filled. It's nice having a new mod to eat up and wait in anticipation for; I was worried Mario's Madness would be it for FNF, but the community just keeps on giving. Love it bruv.

The name of the mod can be read as “Roden Trap”.
Roden is described as many things, but often referred to as a Red Valley. Looking at Phase 2, it’s clear that Green Hill is very much of a Valley that has become distorted. Blood stains the land, statues and the water. In a way, it is a Red Valley.
And, for the trap part? It’s obvious; the mod is a trap.

That right there is already a subtle hint on his true intensions.
"You can stand up and fight or be afraid, it's your choice"
Exactly how his games usually go. You can either stand up and fight against him by playing the game. Or be scared and cower in his world. The end result is the same. It's simply your choice on how you die by his hands.

That right there. Either cower in fear or open yourself up to his game. That emphasis on "for me" makes the entire intension clear for anyone that knows how Sonic.exe works. And this entire intro song is absolutely perfect in how it embodies this demon. Sonic was never in this mod. He's just the bait to get you into exe's game and you fell right into it.

Okay, where the fuck do I even start with this? The first time I played this mod I had no idea it was a .exe mod and only came to my realizations after playing the mod again for the 7th time.
And seeing exe pervert Green Hill Zone to this level is something we don't see often with exe mods. Sure we see dark and creepy versions of the zone in other mods (such as the Lord X Cycles Encore mod) but not to this extent.
The dismembered Flicky in the background with its frantic pained churps being heard is the pinnacle of flipping a concept on its head. In Green Hill Zone you hear birds because it's a zone teeming with life and is peaceful. But here in this dark hellish abyss the birds aren't chirping because it's peaceful. They're cheering because they're in immeasurable agony and cannot die. No one can in Sonic.exe's sick twisted world.
Also just as a good side note I love that Sonic.exe just kicks a flicky at you and laughs. It's so cartoony that I couldn't help but laugh.

And there it is. The famous "Game Over" screen from the OG creepypasta that's both famous and infamous. Knuckles got FUCKED up. And Eggman has seen better days. It's hard to believe they aren't even dead. Just constantly living in those impossible conditions as souls.

Something that i also noticed at the end of the faker part is that when he says "i knew you had it in you" it doesn't refer to his talent or skill, but his soul. Thats what he wants and he now knows that bf has it in him. He also mentions the same point when he says "the beautiful sound that stands from the depths of your soul, also referring to what exe wants in him. I might be wrong thought but i thought it'd be pretty cool to think of it that way
Also, a fun fact that I shared in another comment, in the menu, the *T* in RodentRap is capitalized, giving the name a double take of Rodent Trap and Rodent Rap, which is a cool detail.
Not to mention, 'let the sound of it guide' you could be like "ooh look at all these pained souls, come closer and keep looking for the source"
A good example of this is You Can't Run, Knuckles is minding his business in Scrap Brain, yet follows the blood trail to find the culprit, only to be found instead. Same with Hill, Tails is happy to see a familiar face through the blood-stained grass, and yet familiar is far from what he experienced.
I see "the beautiful sound that stems from the depths of your soul" as X relishing in the agony and suffering he brings the souls of his victims through, and the final stanza of the lyric section could be a reference to the history of Sonic.exe as a whole, sticking around to this day in spite of a turbulent history back when the story was made

God , i love the sprites of sonic at 3rd phase , he looks so out of place and so intimidating it almost creeps me out. Also , the buildup for the drop was pretty unnerving and the drop itself sounded so dreadful. Amazing work sturm , peak after peak.

Roden is a strange German word, as a name, it means "Red Valley", meanwhile as a normal word, means to "harvest" or "pull upwards". I may be reading too far into this, but if we take the name of this mod to say not "Rodent Rap" but "Roden Trap", the strange meaning we're left with is "The Red Valley Trap" or "The Trap that catches from above".
Again, probably looking FAR too into it, but it's something strange that I found.
I think the hint was just meant to be that the T is capitalised instead of the r so it spells as RodenTrap.

Absolutely the intent, to my knowledge. Hinted at by the logo having the T capitalized and the fact that there’s an unused sprite of 2011x being puppeted higher in the sky “upwards”
Also, a common trap is some sort of contraption that lifts you up in the air by the foot or by encasing you in a net. Take the Ewok traps from Star Wars for example. So a “Roden Trap” is something that’s existed for centuries and likely what the title is referring to.
It could also just be interpreted as Roden meaning nothing, and the team just wanted the Trap part capitalized and didn’t care for the leftovers. Or it could be referring to “Rodent Trap” like a trap that catches and kills rodents such as rats and hedgehogs.

First, I like how well X manages to act like the real Sonic, it’s really well done!

This is what Ive been waiting for! A mod that perfectly fakes out the player like how the original story protrays it, giving you the promise of a time with Sonic to turn into q horrifiying experience. They even hid the exe assests inside of their source code so no one can spoil it for themselves!
Your work on this brings it to another level as well, I love the double meaning of Sonic's lyrics, both sounding like his character very well while having menacing undertones to it if thought of from a certain perspective, foreshadowing the reveal right around the corner.
My favorite detail is how bf kinda acts how the player is thinking. At the start of the song your first instinct upon seeing his back turned and the first few lyrics are to think “oh this is definitely going to be an exe song” so bf has a very ominous sort of tone but as the song goes on it starts to fool you again because the tone of the song and the lyrics start sounding more like actual generic stuff Sonic would say so bf starts going along with it too idk I thought it was kinda neat

The first part felt refreshing! Unlike any other .exe fakeouts, there’s no “uh oh scary thing” music; it’s just peaceful music. That fakeout was never expected.

Honestly I absolutely loved this! The thing that other EXE mods do in seperate terms is that they present themselves as dark, bloody, and evil from the minute you start up, in some aspect. Here? Nothing. At the start at least. But that's the point. It's even a similar case with Too Slow Encore. It was trying to be a Sonic fakeout at the beginning, but it was just quite frankly TOO obvious. Why would Sonic all of a sudden know how the Hill.Gym theme goes? It's like Rewrite said in a lyrical cover from a while back, "Isn't it odd how this facade breaks apart as soon as it starts?" That's the one flaw most EXE stuff has. Here, it actually tries a lot hard to trick you, and for the most part, it works. Props to the team!

Joe, Gibz, and everyone else involved did a great job! the foreshadowing that something was wrong but still manages to surprise you when "EXE" reveals himself its SOO GOOD!!! Facade (which I'm assuming was the first song before this was made)may have been pretty cool, but Obituary beats it by a long shot! The faker segment that legitimately fooled people (if the comments are anything to go by), the legendary voice acting from Landy, and your amazing music skills all came together to make something truly special! Obituary has easily cemented itself as my favorite FNF song. Churgney and the rest of the team on this mod cooked so hard. This mod and song are brimming with personality and honestly I'm all here for it. The fakeout section is so beautiful to listen to. Looking forward to this mod's future

X kicking a flicky skull at BF and laughing is always just so genius to me.
I love Sonic.EXE takes that mess with the game UI and aren't always complete Maniacs instead able to crack a joke sometimes its great and incorporating it into one of the official takes is amazing.

i love how in the first part of the song theres still foreshadowing to sonic being sonic.exe, like the lyrics telling boyfriend “i only need you to run”, or “you can stand up and fight, or be afraid”, the record scratch in the background which is commonly associated with lord x, the dead flower off to the side, sonic looking away from bf with closed eyes just like in the original creepypasta, and perhaps the most glaring foreshadowing which is the literal eclipsed sun in the background
After watching this once and then in more time, I just realized how referential the beginning part is-
In the original creepypasta, after Hill act 1, Sonic is standing there with his back to Tails, and then he opens his eyes for a split second to reveal the black and red,
