    Tim's right about PTSD not having to be connected to an event anymore. That's why I have PTSD = I have Unaccountability Syndrome. And if this person is going to say she's indigenous, she has to follow that up with "So I shouldn't get in trouble for how I act when I drink firewater."

    • @C.Fecteau-AU-MJ13
      @C.Fecteau-AU-MJ13 6 місяців тому +2

      People who actually have PTSD, would never lean on the diagnosis to absolve themselves of accountability... It's something you usually don't know, or rather don't want to accept that you have. It can manifest itself in all sorts of self destructive behaviour, but usually it's people who take on a lot of responsibility that have an event, or events, which were so mentally straining they started a pattern of stress that's become disorderly in their lives.
      Once people are diagnosed, with good support, they tend to curb their destructive behaviours and the need for saying "I have PTSD, don't hold me accountable" is irrelevant. That's the kind of thing you'd say, before you knew you were suffering from the disorder. Know what I mean?
      Anyway, this bitch makes me sick and makes the lives of people who actually live with trauma just that little bit more difficult.

    I pretty much agree with Dillon here. The woke train has been going strong for a decade or so but I think it's going to derail for good within a year or two. I don't think it'll go away in the workplace because it's a perfect tool for management to divide workers. Outside the workplace, ordinary people have had enough of insane narcissists getting away with murder by using the random word generator between their ears to constantly cry-bully everyone around them.

    • @Banana_Split_Cream_Buns
      @Banana_Split_Cream_Buns 6 місяців тому

      Very observant. MeToo officially died when everyone decided to proactively ignore Tara Reade's allegations against Joe Biden.
      The woke movies and TV shows are doing horribly.
      Even wokies are now sometimes saying "let sporting bodies decide" when it comes to gender in sport (which is a huge retreat from their unequivocal support in allowing anyone who says they're a woman to be allowed to compete as a woman).
      Joe Biden has been an abysmal failure as President.
      But the Israel-Gaza thing has really split a lot of people. There's not much room to be a fence sitter.
      And yes. People are sick of it.

      I completely disagree, I believe we are only at the start of this. Too many have been taught to think this way either within universities or online spaces. These people still are the power wielders within every major institutions HR and marketing departments. They control what information is and isnt either shared or allowed. Once they get into more positions of power it will get worse not better.

    Although I don't use it to get absolve myself of responsibility, I think that counts.
    People who use mental illness as a means to deflect accountability make me sick and behaviour like hers makes the lives of people who actually live with the trauma of a life changing event just that little bit more difficult.

    I've seen a lot of these body cams and I could've swore this was in Portland. Maybe I'm mistaken, it just seemed batshit enough to logically fit that location. At any rate, what an absolutely pathetic excuse for a human. She tossed any and every self-diagnosed problem she could think of, based on whatever's trending on Tiktok no doubt, in hopes of finding one that would make the cop say, "Oh ok, well in that case you're free to leave." The grey rock method works quite well on narcissists like this one, and the cop used it pretty effectively, imo.

    I have ptsd and although I don’t talk about it much, especially with new people I don’t know. But when I have mentioned it almost every time I am asked “from what” I have even gotten “you didn’t go to war” I typically don’t explain because when I do I am accused of “trauma dumping” but there has been a lot. I was molested at a very young age by a cousin, I was raped as a teenager, my mom told me when I was being picked up by the hospital I tested positive for HIV (she was lying), my mother overly medicated me and would several times over my growing up make false police reports and have them send me to a crisis center with mentally psychotic people. I was kicked out at 18, lived random places. Been creeped on when looking for rooms to rent. I rented a room from a guy who went all psycho on me because I was trying to install a lock on my bedroom door (because he was going in and yelling at me and I couldn’t leave, I was looking desperately I had nowhere to go) and sent his hillbilly neighbors on me a drunk lady and her two teenage boys, one of them was like 6’ tall and autistic and he had a machete raised at me, I was yelling telling him to put it down and stop walking towards me. This guy I rented from ended up writing a book about becoming. A serial killer. It was about him, the main character was him, all his dogs and his car, everything was the same. He read a chapter of the book and uploaded it on to UA-cam, I found it. It’s about me while I was living there, in his book he talks about the scars on my legs and my skirt and he hates short skirts, in the book he 🔪 me and then disposes of the body. Turns out this guy used to be in the band my dad is in and knew who I was before I moved in. I didn’t recognize him. I rented a room from a black guy who had dudes come over and try to hang out with me, when I went to my room and locked the door he was banging on my door and said it wasn’t right I’m in my room like that. I think he was trying to pimp me out, literally. I lived somewhere where I was supposed to be caring for an older woman with epilepsy, she was about my moms age, she would have these violent outbursts and she attacked me and hit me and threw coffee on me and locked me out, this happened multiple times and the whole family would deny it until they realized they needed someone there with her and they apologized to me and said it was because of the meds, I was living in my car so I went back and she did it again, that woman hit me in the head a total of 7 times, and every time she threatened to call the cops. I felt like I couldn’t call for my own protection because these people will lie and you end up in the slammer. Because the cops are going to believe the homeowner almost every time. No thank you. This is not everything, not nearly, I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD about 2 years ago.

    c-PTSD (complex PTSD) doesn't have to be due to a specific event, it's basically the cumulative effect of living in unsafe/extremely stressful conditions for a long time. I believe that's a real thing BUT I doubt this person has it snd, even if they do, it doesn't exempt you from complying with the laws or an excuse for being unsufferably obnoxious

      It means she was trying to head in one direction and she is accidently heading in another (you meant to go left and you're actually going right). She tries to say that as an excuse for why she is driving on the wrong side of the road.
