I do love me some weird but not incomprehensible weird scps that aren't evil or world ending just weirdoes walking around
I was almost thinking this was another one based on the 'multiversal' title I thought I was in for another incomprehensible, exhausting, boring eldritch world-ending shit that goes on and on, but am pleasantly surprised here.
@@happyvocalI mean don't get me wrong I do enjoy the Eldridge freak of nature that certainly pop up in the sap archive. But I definitely agree something that's just a novelist and just trying to live but isn't going out of its way to cause harm because it's like technically speaking this thing could be extremely dangerous and all that nice stuff but it seems more like it's just a super-sized entity that is just trying to live its best life and not get killed
What are some others that fit that?
@@n00battak3r that fit what? Eldritch Horrors or quirky entities that just happened to exist
I'd never heard of Wilson's Wildlife Solutions. Neat.
I feel sorry for the MTF having to work out how to move a 1.5km long millipede without anyone noticing.
Coil it up and put it in a really big box?
Could put it on a modified train
Or just amnestics to witnesses.
Especially one that can erase them from existence in a moments notice.
Amnestics! Amnestics for everyone!
"An alternate reality does not constitute part of the state of Oregon, regardless of its geographical status"
I've always asserted as much, but no one ever listens to me. I will have these words _CARVED_ into my tombstone.
Please do. Imagine someone finding your tombstone 200 years later
@@kharnthebetrayer8251
I can't imagine they'd do anything but nod, agree, and say "Good man" before moving on
Good man
Good man
Good man
You've heard of Leviathan, you've heard of the World Serpent, now get ready for Multiversal Megapede!
I'd love to see a Godzilla type monster battle between them
Jörmungandr would body them.
I read that as levia-HAM. Which would only be the fourth pork based scp I can think of.
This should be the surprise boss fight in the next antman film
Great concert lineup
The strangest part of this is that there's a town named "Boring". I'll bet that's a fun town. The millipede that spans universes is child's play compared to the night life in Boring.
I feel like I’ve actually been to a Boring, not joking
It also makes sense since the bug bores tunnels into more realities
I wonder if the townsfolk named their town the way they did because life there appears to be anything but that.
And isn't it odd that the millipede broke out of containment the moment Wilson's Wildlife Solutions be came it's custodian?
I have actually been to boring. It's not particularly boring but it is a small town
It's named after someone. What's kinda funny is that the Boring Lava Field was named for the town, but is actually a fairly interesting geologic feature.
Outstanding. Everything an SCP should be - intriguing, possibly dangerous, and mysterious.
Agreed
Idk I like the rat organization that finds things that we lose. We can just pay them to refind stuff we lost
And not another overdone xk class
Once I found out the SCP world is fiction, it really ruined it more than I had hoped. Very interesting and creative.
@@2yoyoyo1Unplugged Well said.
I kind of like depictions of the SCP Foundation where they have to deal with other government groups, rather than being this perfectly secret, all-powerful organization.
I mean, I think they are always a secret group but they work with or deal with other organizations, they have fake companies and groups everywhere, cooperation was likely between those
If I'm not mistaken, the foundation had prohibited Wilson's Wildlife Solutions from containing Keter level SCPs after the SCP 654 incident
Lore inconsistency within the SCP? Nah.
@@CodeguruX well, some scps exist in their own universe, or that scp 654 doesn’t exist in 3676 universe
There's no one true canon in the SCP universe, that's how the writers can have so much freedom
there is no consistent lore.
To be fair, at the beginning of this reading it's kinda implied that the involvement of Wilson's Wildlife was more out of necessity than otherwise.
Having recently been to Boring, Oregon, I can definitely confirm that the town definitely feels like it's been touched by an anomalous entity.
Hell yeah more Wilson's Wildlife. Love my creepy critters.
I misread causal as casual all the time myself, but you might wanna look out for that more in the future especially when dealing with SCP articles. "Laid back" and "dealing with cause and effect" are very different sentiments.
glad I wasn't the only one to notice, threw me off while listening lol
He has dislexia which is likely the result of the fumble.
I literally did it reading your comment on it
@@reptarien thats fine, his comment is a jab or an insult, but a valid critique of a professional story tellers work. Its probably reasonable to take note and fix that in future videos from Volgun's end.
@@nom6758 I'm sure Volgun doesn't mind. No one is being rude about it, and it's valid critique.
When reading as a dyslexic you just need more time and care to get it right, which I am 100% certain Volgun already does.
To be honest, the vast majority of the time there's no mistakes, so I don't think most people notice most of the time.
The centipede having precision enough control over the worm holes to remove sedatives from its blood is a cool and terrifying asf
Omg and it brought over a sympathetic alternate universe person to help it???? How much of past containment has really been apart of its own elaborate scheme???
Shrödingers megapede
In multiple universes exist simultaneously, one where the entity is affected and another where it is not. All it has to do is temporary cease to exist in one universe, thus removing the affliction without affecting its condition as it exists in other universes.
The closer way to look back at Shrödinger's cat is the thought experiment where it exists in a reality where it is both dead and alive & opening the box collapses both universes into one where the cat is either dead or alive. This would be like having the cat be able to choose to open the box into whichever universe it can remain unharmed.
Babe wake up new volgun just dropped
Im here babe
We have Volgun at home
Shut up
Whats wrong babe you've hardly touched your megapede
Someone knew the Foundation would reliably follow protocols and not report any of their actions to the WWS leadership, especially considering how potentially dangerous SCP-3676 could be to reality, for a considerable amount of time. It took 3 events and Madison getting in the way of properly dealing with this thing before anyone bothered to go over her head. By then, whatever shenanigans were going on had been accomplished and the POI and her accomplices had vanished without a trace. Very interesting.
Ooooh I love how many question this one asks, especially in the end. Also shows why the Foundation doesn't really like giving up control - it's not even that they are (always) power hungry, but sometimes... other GOIs are just not equipped properly. Or maybe the alternative WWS actually had malicious intentions?
Congrats to the Author, this is a really compeling article! And your reading does it justice :)
Somehow, less afraid of it than non-anomalous milipedes.
Until a Portal of a helish landscape open directly before you and an 1.5 km long milipede appears which runs you into the ground.
I mean its exactly the same except you could wake up in a different reality to boot
Has there been a proposition of a multiversally shared database between separate SCP foundations which share information of their in universe subjects. This could allow rewrites of previous scp's with new twists, while still allowing for the originals to remain constant.
I always assumed that most SCPs remain constant between continuities and retain the same slots unless stated otherwise, being that the site is collaborative fiction afterall.
@@BillNWI I thought it was only partially collaborative. For example, there are many different SCP 001's because no one can decide which is the real one. But if a multiverse of SCP foundations exist and communicate, then each one can have a different SCP 001.
@@euroclydonftw9676 Well yeah, SCP 001 is the biggest exception considering different canons can have varying 001s.
@@BillNWI Well, this would allow all cannons to be viable without contradicting one another.
@@euroclydonftw9676there are different justifications for having multiple 001 proposals, too, which makes it even more complicated lol
Autism won today, i rediscovered my love for millipedes and your scp videos very recently, now theyre both together! Oh joy

3:25 Its causal and not casual progession.
The first misspeak i ever heard from you, impressive.
But also shocking when it happened because it never happens^^
Maybe this is an alternate Doctor Millar?
I'm always a sucker for story twists involving "assumed protocol".
Its incredible how far humanity has gotten when simply saying the right words at the right time is all it takes to undo all our defenses.
"Trust, but verify" is a popular phrase for a reason. Its good advice.
I just imagine the MTF's trying to wrestle with the thing as it's hopping in and out of portals and more of them are showing up clinging to it and getting confused, like a sketch from Rick and Morty.
The tiny detail about the former president is the kind of thing that makes for a great SCP. It's just the slightest discrepancy, and yet the Foundation would totally make a note of it. Well done!
My read was honestly that it was non-anomalous, they could just be confusing Harrisons death for McKinley or Garfield. Either way, it communicates the foundation is very thorough to turn it up, but i like the idea they just picked up two agents who misremembred which presidents were shot then poorly doctored.
I'm picturing Mabel and Dipper battling this beast
Volgun, the only note I have is to learn the difference between causal and casual. Causal has to do with cause and effect.
No shade, I adore your work
Goddammit English.
I noticed it too, lol.
But mis-reading 1 word for another very similarly spelled word, in a 12 minute video is pretty good
Just dyslexia or exhaustion. Volgie ‘s said the word before-and he is one of the few adamant to pronounce keter the way it is in the topmost of the sephirot of the Tree of Life in Kabbalah (aka, a stickler for correct pronunciation, even if it doesn’t drastically change the meaning of the word for most listeners, like it would for casual/causal). I’m sure he’s irritated and embarrassed (speaking from experience), but it’s not likely something awful enough to need to reupload for and destroy the view-viability of the video.
Edited for my own dyslexia.
I don’t think it’s reasonable to assume he needs to “learn the difference,” between two fairly common words, especially when he has such a breadth of work with longer and more complex words (and has most likely used these words in other videos). I know you didn’t have any negative intent, but I feel like telling someone they need to learn the difference between things, because you assumed that was the case, is a bit demeaning?
Sweet! I love anything from Wilson’s Wildlife!
Somewhere out in the universe, an absolutely gargantuan cosmic being has a pet world serpent, multiversal millipede and that one eel SCP at the bottom of the ocean. They’re all good if you feed them on time, I’m sure
This concept of just falling into a hole and ending up in the same place effectively with the only difference being like, the grass is orange instead of green is just funny to me.
What's up vulgon? Me and my girl just absolutely just love the content that you put together everytime. Just so u know we have been on the edge of our seat bottoms waiting for u to drop the beach pt.2 ????
I wonder, if SCP-507 fell into one of these tunnels, would that reality become his new base-reality that he returns to after each shift, or would he automatically return to the original reality he's from?
imagine the tunnel monster popped into the tunnels ^3^
That or he'd merge both realities. Like this is now a normal tunnel but reality a is everything that directed to a cosmetic scale and reality b is everything I the other direction.
10:10 such a small addition but just adds so much more realism, like cinematic seasoning if you will.
The SCP author didn't consider that a creature 1.5Km long would require a building larger than the tallest skyscraper to contain it or an area equal to 140 football fields if the creature was contained by having it curled up in a U shape. I somehow don't think they have enough anmestics to make people not notice the construction of the facility that big even if its subterranean.
Modified train brother
They have plenty of underground spaces and remote locations.
YES! finally, I've been waiting for someone to do this one! One of my favorites scps! It's weird, but also cool.
WOOO new video!!! I’m slowly working through your entire backlog lmao
This is a very interesting story format even for SCP. The skip here is just a big bug that happens to have multiverse powers. But the real story is told by what is not told. This is one of those bravo moments to the writer because I think this story only works as a case file being read afterwards. The hindsight blends with horror well like a reverse Hitchcock bomb.
I love the random break from character at the end😆
Thank you for another fine video! Keep them coming!
Greetings Dearest Travelers,
It is so nice to see you on this timeline in this dimension.
I hope we can meet again before the end.
I sure do hope so, friend.
He will be laughing still, in the end.
Interesting to me that the very clearly placed in Oregon, USA scp has all its date notations in European notation (dd/mm/yyyy). Its stuff like that I enjoy noticing lol
The Foundation is global, they generally use terminology and notations that are as well. Its also why they typically use Metric measurements(with the exception of times when the SCP's writer only gives measurments in Imperial units.)
“European”, aka, the vast majority of the planet other than the US lol
Poor gigantic multidimensional insect, stuck in a battle for his custody
I love your channel, I always get excited when I get a notification
Love your videos dude
First time I've ever caught an upload this early, nice.
This author's Foundation didn't do it's homework well enough to know they weren't dealing with WWS? Very interesting.
A story about this version of the Foundation might be interesting as well.
Well, they WERE actually dealing with WWS - it was just WWS from a different branch of the SCP multiverse (it could even be possible that this WWS was initially unaware that they were in the "wrong" universe).
"Its big, scary and PINK!"
The way the narrator ends off with "interesting.. (noise of mild startle)" before going into the normal ending makes me think he either is part of the mystery group behind initial containment of the beast or is at-least somewhat involved in it.
The thing knew where it could escape to recover. That's one intelligent bug.
I also knew, who its captors were, and which ones would most likely help to save it, specifically using it's abilities to erase itself from other organizations minds.
Thank you Dr. Miller, very informative lecture, amazing how these dimensional anomalies have such a grand effect on the cross point area
Megapede: Across The Multiverse
Woooooooah. It feels like it's been awhile. I'm happy to see you still uploading. Definitely bedtime material please don't take that the wrong way lol.
Oregon has some great place names. The Forest I worked in has “ Deathball Mountain “. Also a pillar called Deathball rock.
I have to say, this particular kind of creature always makes me cautious. Mostly because I have seen what happens when someone lets a millipede on their skin. It was... not a pleasant sight, to be honest. They burned, got the streaks, and said it felt like burning needles in their skin.
One of those sorta creatures... with access to multiversal abilities... is um... unnerving?
This was a shorter video, but it was a nice palette cleanser between some of the more intense (though still good) videos that were done before this one.
It’s ones like this I find genuinely interesting
The best in the biz is back!
I see "The Volgun", I click.
That's the 3rd biggest bug I have seen
"Along with near-identical copies of themselves" *Yakkity Sax begins playing*
its just a cute little baby. Let it do what it wants
I had to double take at the size description, thinking surely I read it wrong. Yup, 1.5 Km long... excuse me while I never visit Oregon.
Ah yes...sleep can wait.
That's not a worm hole, that's a centipede hole!
Thank you, Volgun
The absolute TERROR I felt shooting down my spine when TheVolgun said the name of my home town.
wild to see a single person directly fucking with the entire foundation like this. i would rather die than be on the foundation POI list
3:25 'causal' not 'casual' (as in causality)
He probably just misread it considering he is dyslexic
this could be an enemy in a grimdark Earthworm Jim comic
Oh damn they say “Scranton” anything and I start getting nervous with how shotty things are about to get for that timeline
I really like animal or just wildlife SCPs
Multiversal megapede? all I need to know
you know its a good vid when that very creepy music plays
I love Wilson's wildlife scps lol
I'm kind of impressed how completely the Foundation got bamboozled here.
I’m cool with these kind of Keter type SCP’s I don’t need a malicious evil death monster. Give me a big bug that’s just chillin. That being said it really seems like this is one of those SCP’s they should probably just kill.
Its called the universe for a reason.
It's probably gone to Gravity Falls Oregon
3:25 *Causal* , not casual.
still! thoroughly enjoyable. thanks for pumping these out on a regular basis! always love to listen to these to go to sleep :P
Edit: uh-oh, scranton reality anchors. time to bounce.
Interesting SCP! I wonder if this megapede was the cause of SCP-2273 (M. Alexei Beltrov) initial dimensional displacement. Could be an interesting, possible explanation.
Shrödingers megapede

I am glad this was not a scary SCP.
I would have mega-peed myself.

The foundation would have SCPeed themselves too 💀

Dr. Millar's unusual interest at the end of the log feels really ominous for some reason.
Loved it! Lol
Love the wwf articles. Usually a fun combination of competence and wtf going on.
I hate when I run into myself.
this milipede reminds me of the Great Dark One Worm from the Super Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! cartoon
Was hopeing to hear your thoughts on this one
I would love to see some more MTF action full documents
That ending shouldn't feel this creepy....
Encountering alternate MTFs seems like it would be a positive boon for containment efforts and possibly the foundation in general. You already know what they are capable of and you can generally presume to be working with similar goals. Join forces and get to work.
imagine working as an MFT and being told that ya have to subdue a sentipede that is bigger then a train and capable of traveling through dimensions.. i cant help but think that some of them would probably just think its a normal tuesday.. that said i cant help but think that meeting an alternate version of yourself while trying to subdue this specific scp shouldnt come as much of a surprise
@@joey00198 Just don't let Dr. Bright or Dr. Clef near this thing. One of each is arguably more than the foundation can handle already.
