My favorite videos are that of 1st Gen Tacoma gettin it! Awesome!!
Good video man, you guys made it look easier than it feels. I did it a few months back, very similar build to yours.
Thanks man. I follow your build on TW. My crawlbox helped a lot. Props on you making it without one & M/T on 35's.
Best wheeling video on the internet. Takes skill to pick lines with humble 33s and cvs. What’s fun about watching unbreakable rigs and obvious outcomes? Well done. Thanks for motivating me to finish my dual case for my 1st gen. P.S. what rear bumper is the silver taco running? Home made?
Thanks! It's a lot of fun navigating a lesser rig through trails like that.
Not sure what brand that bumper is, but it's a weldable kit similar to the coast offroad offerings. He welded a swingout onto it after the fact
@@ianlennox4633 does homie have a build on TW? Looks like a NWTI bumper, but he modded it to high-clearance (+ the swingout) style like Coastal Offroads. Either way, great vid!
@@scottdoesthings ya he does.

Ya that's the brand. Couldn't remember at first. And that's exactly what he did to it
Awesome video, I'm in the process of building a first gen tacoma myself and your guys truck look great.
Thanks! Appreciate it
Awesome video thank you!
Killer video guys.
For all the doubters. Yes ISf can climb.
This vid is so dope
Good music. Love Bush
Some nice rigs there!
thats a hell a gnarly trail.
It's a fun one forsure
1st gens all day
LBJ's and CV's were screaming for mercy @5:20!! ...But they held!! I assume rear lockers? or open??
Locked f&r
Отличный маршрут 👍🏻
👍
Cool to see you guys out getting it, but man, I don't know about the ol IFS. I'm on my 3rd idle arm in my 2nd gen 4R...
Neat to be able to see the live axle flex.
.CODA. 🤘🤘
🔥
anyone driving with an open diff in your convoy?
Did the guys on 33s bypass any of the sluices or v notches? Doin the trail next week on 35s and this is giving me motivation 😅
3 of the rigs in this video are on 33's.
Don't remember, but definitely bypassed little sluice. not sure which V notches you're talking about
Fuckin hell I’d run that trail faster on foot 😆 Sick footage though my butthole was puckered at moments
Great raw footage vid.!!.but why the music.???:[
Thanks. There isn't much else to listen to other than our voices spotting in some places.
I was watching this awesome video, thinking how sick the soundtrack is, and came across this comment...
Good video! I'll have to jump back on TW and check out your build thread. Hoping to do the Rubicon this year myself if I can round up a crew. Any TW runs happen worth being a part of?
On the Rubicon with TW, not that I'm aware of.
@@ianlennox4633 Gotcha, guess I better get back in and just check out the pnw side of things. Thanks!
Ain’t nutin rong wit turdy trees🤗
Where can I find some more information on that dark red first gen taco. What rear bumper is he running?? Great vid!
That's mine. Rear bumper is from trail gear.
Build info is here:

great video!
Thoughts on 3rd Gen T4R vs 1st Gen Tacoma? Can’t decide which as they seem very, very similar. Only major difference seems to be leaf’s in the rear for the Taco.
Comes down to personal preference with space requirements and what your needs are.
I like having a truck bed personally, but the 4runner is a nice for the sake of having everything enclosed in one space.
The link setup in the rear of the 3g t4r isn't the best as far as link systems go imo either
Are these gnarly sections the only way through these areas or are you purposely using a challenging route?
Only way through. SAS silver trucks took optional hardlines cause he's on 40s
Manuals or autos???.
1st gen t4r and red Tacoma are manual. Other two are auto
Cool video but the music killed it !
Taking the bypass and easy lines...
How do you guys not smash your t-cases? I have a 99 and it seems to stick out way lower than all of yours do.
Just gotta watch your line choice. I have duals in my rig and the extra length makes it actually stick down a bit further than it does stock.
What are the specs on these trucks, lockers, gears etc??
myoffroadbuild.com/build?b=Ian%2BLennox-2000-Toyota-Tacoma
What bumper is on the red taco?
All pro Baja bumper
What mods are done to the tacoma? I want to hit the rubicon trail one day with my tacoma
A lot. You can check the build here: myoffroadbuild.com/build?b=Ian%2BLennox-2000-Toyota-Tacoma
More commentary music ruins the vibes
Agree. Next video won't have music
I'd rather hear the trucks than the "music"!
That's why I left out the music in my next Rubicon video
@@ianlennox4633 cool
Didn't see lots of parts of the trail, do the whole thing?
Ya did the whole thing. Didn't get much video though
@@ianlennox4633 understandable! So how they do on obstacles like soup bowl? Planning for next year will probably be before sas trying to make sure we'll get through!
@@Bikes_Buggies didn't try soup bowl since this was the first time doing the whole thing.
Figure you prob need more than 33s to accomplish an obstacle like that though
I didnt realize you could bypass, great thanks! Gives me hope 🤣 I'm running 35s and armored, hoping good but don't want to get screwed! 😲
@@Bikes_Buggiesit helps with how narrow the 1st gens are. If u have LT or are full width, you're more limited on the lines you can take
