I was crocheting a turtleneck sweater for my moms chi and all of a sudden I started feeling wet yarn in my hands and then there was no tension. I think my Mr. Whiskers was ready for a color change. ✂️ 🦷 **snip**

I don’t like the tension on these machines but each to our own. I would give it a go just for the sheer curiosity! I think my young daughter would like it because she hasn’t got the patience to knit by hand
The suction cups on the Sentro/Santro machines are decent, just have to make sure they adhere to the surface. I have table clamps for my Addi and it leaves me with a free hand to tension. No wiggles ❤

Its a tool you can use for small business if you plan to make a lot of knitted beanies in a day. I also have knitting needles and I am still learning how to knit because I love the idea of being able to make using knitting needles.
It's a different form a knitting. New style. I can see this as the future and hand knitting out the door.
@@SharonLee2600I get you want to make money but the quality is better with actual hand knitting. It’s a process and you will pick up more knowledge and learn what works and doesn’t work for you. You won’t enjoy the experience if you don’t learn the patience to create something yourself from start to finish. I personally see the machines as cheating lol.

You didn"t do it..your machine did..it"s not considered homemade..but it does work for people to lazy to learn how to knit
Yes.. I'm really grateful that this machine has been invented..coz if not.. I wouldn't be able to have 2 knitted beanies in just an hour. I know some crocheters who also knit but have Sentro. I am a beginner knitter and I also knit when I want to.

Late for this, but machine knitting is actually really neat for those who are new to knitting/can't knit properly (I've got shaky hands for example), and it lightens the load from knitting the whole project by hand to mostly the finishing touches)
Besides, most of the clothes you wear are made from looms that are vertical rather than circular for millenia

Yup.. it's a great machine especially when you plan to make a lot of hats in a day but manually cranking can hurt your hand and shoulder after doing it for many hours. You should watch how I used the aidiler so hats can be made in just 20 minutes.

Me seeing dis while making Ugly beanies by loom and takeing 3 days and being short with holes
You know I tried Loom Knitting. Its fun too.. but if you are planning on doing a business making many hats in a day... this would be a great buy. I even bought an electric adapter because your other hand that cranks the machine for hours can get really sore.

Drop stitches is my problem. I can't go fast with mine. I go slow to catch and prevent them.
I rarely have drop stitches in my projects.
How do u stop from dropping a stitch I just got mine and I am doing good and I look over and there is a big gap were I dropped the stitch
@@dawnganson4368 make sure every needle pulls the yarn down. Holes are when the needle skips the yarn. If u go too fast, u won't catch it happening.

Why do they look so loose? I’ve wondered about these machines but I enjoy the planning, designing, and knitting process.
I thought the same way too but after you finish, its going to stretch a little and its softer compared to crocheted Beanie. I have used light weight yarns and did about 130 rounds. It only consumes about 50 grams which makes a big difference compared to crocheting. The only downside is you cannot use bulky yarns here.. only up #4 size of yarn can be used. You can try thicker but you will see the Machine struggling. 😅
I have the same knitting machine but mine seems to skip every so often a loop creating these strange holes after it catches up. Any suggestions?

Can you make different types of hats with this machine?
Basically, you can make a reversible hat with a light-weight yarn.. a twist head Warmer, a Cardigan, vest, infinity scarf.. you can make different projects with this 48 pin Knitting Machine. Also the size is for adults.. use Knitting machine with smaller pins like 40 pins for smaller hat. 22 pins for making socks.

When making an adult hat how long do you make it before casting off. I do kids hats fine but when I do an adult hat I tend to make it either to Long or to small. I like to do a double layer like yours but have a hard time knowing when it's Long enough

Fine to lightweight yarns are perfect for this machine. I tried the medium-weight but the machine is already making that struggling noise and the hooks might break.

Yes, I would like to make many beanies or headbands for business .. and a machine can make that happen.
It’s still technically hand made. Hats are the easiest but you can technically make sweaters and cardigans and even plushies. But it takes a lot of skill to do those. It just takes lesser time.
