Birding in the Eastern Cape. Karoo Secret

Karoo Secret offers the chance of Sclater's Lark, a much sought after bird in South Africa. It is difficult to find and I have only seen them once in 4 visits to this working farm between Beaufort West and Aberdeen - you need to time it well and have patience. There is nevertheless an abundance of Karoo birds and probably what I love most is the feeling of wide open spaces and there is just you and 10 000 hectares of nothingness to explore.
