I never put cream cheese in my spanakopita- just feta! But maybe I should try your recipe... I love to add full also. I just made a spanakopita as a pie, with English/American flaky, buttery pie crust. I remember my Mom telling me it was ok to make it this way🤣. It's true but I still did and still do prefer phyllo! However I will definitely try this technique!

They look really nice and if it all works, I will use the same method but using some keema sitting in the freezer (curried minced beef with peas).....and every other filling I can come up with!

Yes, once they're baked allow them to cool completely. Transfer to freezer-safe bags and they will keep fresh in the freezer up to 3 months.
