Man this is badass! Edward James Olmos is such a smart and talented actor! Omg Lawrence Fishburne! Can’t get any better! Ron Pearlman! Omg this is fantastic! And the music! My god! Love the 80’s!
You can only imagine that the people who chose the music for the end scenes of Miami Vice had a personal music collection that was the best of the 80's B-Sides! My entire music collection is based off of what I heard on Vice!
OMG!! I have watched this clip multiple times and never saw Ron Perlman until now! ha ha. I love Laurence....love Edward James Olmos....love Tubbs....love this clip in general
I'm rewatching all five seasons of Miami Vice presently after 30 years, and this was one of my favorite songs from the show. Well, I loved all the music so much that I purchased first the album, then two CDs by Jan Hammer. But what I really wanted to comment on was how brilliant Edward James Olmos portrayed his role in this scene. This is really the first time we see Castillo go completely off the rails as Lt. crimebuster and savior of a member of his dedicated team. I'm kinda partial to Edward in this role because my second husband could have been his twin in almost every way, from height, features, and even personality although my second husband smiled a bit more than Castillo but not much. Thanks for posting this video.
I remember the very first time I saw this episode and like many other Miami Vice episodes, it just blew me away. Beautifully made amazing use of music to tell a powerful story. Greatest TV show of all-time.
Don’t forget his appearance in The Color Purple. Those two men have been in everything. This show had guest stars that catapulted into stardom afterwards.
Salute to Miami Vice. One of the best shows of the 80's. I remember the NBC Friday primetime lineup. Sting Ray Miami Vice, then Crime Story. Not to mention one the best soundtracks and Castillo being a bad motor scooter.
I was a radio DJ in those days. I played this song a lot and totally loved it. I also loved "vice". When watching this episode and heard this song being used (so brilliantly) I just about wet my pants!
When planning for a surprise the least you want the criminals to know is you and the squads coming in. And you need at least some coverage, which is why they came in from a different direction than the vice cops did.
One of the best episodes ever, along with the one with Willie Nelson as a Texas Ranger. There is also the one where a strange dude was breaking into homes at night, throwing white flower all over the kitchen then raiding the refrigerator and eating raw steaks! ua-cam.com/video/JFcQUlzw7uc/v-deo.html
@@TungstenLion Then you must also remember this one where strange dude was breaking into homes raiding kitchens and eating raw steaks ua-cam.com/video/JFcQUlzw7uc/v-deo.html
Did this for 16 years. Forst job out of college and we was supposed to inventory hallmark in south tower on 9/11/01 and ended up doing a financial hallmark that day in New Jersey.
Castillo’s 8 shot revolver. Where did he hide the extra amo. Switek and Zito always looked like they found their outfit from vacant houses. Favorite show, but this always made me laugh.
Excellent scene - one of my favs...but never understood why they didn't drive the SWAT guys all the way down that path. They just ran and ran and never made it there on time. lol
Assuming that was a six shot revolver.... Castillo was out of bullets yet fired seven 1) Kitchen door lock 2) Propane Tank, 3)By fence takes out guard (fires twice), 4) Fires Three times after he is shot at by guard 1+1+2+3=7
“Least they got a jury of their own peers.”
Freaking awesome line *Tubbs!*

it's the best show eh? I Love it - currently going thru the whole series again - what's not to love??!!! :D
I got into the damned from this excellent show.
haha me too! and every bit grateful for it.
I'd guess that Jan Hammer did a lot of the music selection. He was perfectly tuned in to just how dark that series was.
Asi es amigo estoy de acuerdo con vos! descubri muchas bandas y buena musica en Miami Vice, saludos desde Argentina!
Tubbs: "At least they got a jury of their own peers."
The Damned were an amazing band and this song fits into the overall feel perfectly!
I always felt the song was written for this episode or the other way around
what do you mean were! they are still going strong
The Damned still are an amazing band. Cheers! 👍🏻
Castillo kickin' ass as he only can do (with special appearances by Laurence Fishburne & Ron Perlman)
OMG!! I have watched this clip multiple times and never saw Ron Perlman until now! ha ha. I love Laurence....love Edward James Olmos....love Tubbs....love this clip in general
So cool!
@Gabe V and he got judged by a jury of his own peers!
Deserves a million views don't ever take this down.
Absolutely....

Yes that and the airport scene song!
Lt Castillo kicking some ass!
Any episodes centered around Castillo were some of the better ones. My personal favorite was Bushido
Tbh, the more I see Miami Vice the more I like Castillo rather than Crockett or Tubbs.
@@MrBillyLaw Marty is the man 💪 That fifth season ep where he reunites, at least momentarily, with his wife is pretty damn good too
Eh preference but let's be real. Where was Castillo going with that 7-8 shooter. I counted more than 6 shots 😂.
Great scene and very memorable decades later!
Yes. One of those scenes as a child of the 80's that I always remembered from Miami Vice.
@@terrancetubbs389 The part I always remembered was Tubbs holding on to Castillo.
One of my all-time favorite MV eps. Classic. From the most underrated season.

Wow... This episode had a both a young LAURENCE FISHBURNE and a young RON PERLMAN in it, when both actors were relatively unknown.
Fishburne was a drug dealer in Band of the Hand 1985 too imdb.com ...
Don’t forget his appearance in The Color Purple. Those two men have been in everything. This show had guest stars that catapulted into stardom afterwards.
Don't forget Apocalypse Now.
@@MrK-wu7ci Also King of New York!
Also don’t forget Fishburne as one of the snazzier dressed thugs in “Death Wish II”.
“Supa fiiiinnne…” 😆
I love it when Miami Vice goes full music video on our asses.
The lieutenant always seems so cool and down with it. Nobody can shake his groove.

For me the best episode of Miami Vice
This by far one of my favorite scenes.
I always loved this show as a kid & still do. Such class & style. Michael Mann is a genius 😎🙏
Such an awesome episode ! Castillo in action = Badass. The song is a perfect match with the scene. One of my favorite miami vice episodes.
The second hand on the clock even ticks to the beat.
Three words....Bad, Ass scene.
This was right before Morpheus swallowed the red pill
I was a radio DJ in those days. I played this song a lot and totally loved it. I also loved "vice". When watching this episode and heard this song being used (so brilliantly) I just about wet my pants!
When i was a kid in the 80s and watched this series the first time he was my personal favorite character
Don't mess with Edward J...….
Correct. Watch Battelstar Galactica.
Dam good series
Best episode of season 3 by far!
I could watch this stuff all day
Lets stop the truck a mile from the prison and run in!
Especially none of them are in shape 🤣🤣🤣🤣!
They don’t want to let the corrupt guards know too early or Tubbs is dead
Played like a music video for a jogging team..lol
When planning for a surprise the least you want the criminals to know is you and the squads coming in. And you need at least some coverage, which is why they came in from a different direction than the vice cops did.
Theatrics!
Damn, badass with the revolver out here taking out the sniper like a boss! Lol
Cop in tower with rifle can't hit Castillo, but Castillo with revolver takes out tower cop. lol
Goes to show how being a cop and and Maths teacher can help you in almost any tight situation
rts Because he is Lieutenant Marty Castillo
Oh, the prison warden DID hit Castillo. But he hit his balls, and they deflected the shot.
Castillo has a vest on and got hit maybe twice.
One of best songs from the show.... my favorite top-3 scenes from Miami Vice
Castillo was amazingly 👊✊
Thank you a zillion for posting this great memories to a great era ❤️❤️
This should be the official video for the song.
This was such a fantastic episode! Thankyou for the upload.
Lt Castillo was such a pro with he's gun handling

EJO looked so good in prison blues, they cast him in American Me.

Castillo deep undercover here yet still very authortive in his presence.
Cool I hear a bit of the "Russian Theme" of Jan Hammers soundtrack at the end

Oh cmon, have you ever seen Die Hard? Lol McClane had a 36 round magazine for that Beretta? 🤣🤣🤣 at least this was only off by 1 round.
think he took lessons from Chuck Norris. Or had extra rounds tucked into his socks. My favourite MV though, Castillo´s got the moooves :-)

Yes, he did; a previous scene shows a vest being put on him.

Why did Crockett stay in the van?
He couldn’t run in his slip-on shoes. 🤣
