Girl Scouts still use Thin Mints, Samoas, etc. names because they're easily identifiable names & there is immediate & instant recognizition when you say the names. Samoas are great cookies. They're soft & you can dunk them in milk. My Mom likes the shortbread Trefoils. One of my co-workers likes Thin Mints.
Nice, interesting video on how Samoas Girl Scout cookies are made. When I was a young girl, I was a Brownie & earned a lot of badges on my brown sash. But I never did do Girl Scouts. But I often supported Girls Scouts by buying their cookies. My favorite Girl Scout cookies are the Samoas. My Mom gave me a box of Samoas a few weeks ago, & I still have cookies left in the box. I only eat a couple per week, not too much. I read the comments below. On my new box of cookies, it says (cont.)
Okay - I just watched a video now from WhatTravisSays on UA-cam. According to him, there are two different cookie bakeries making cookies for Girl Scouts of the USA. One is from another company naming their cookies Caramel DeLites. The other one is made by Little Brownie Bakers based in Louisville, Kentucky & they name their cookies Samoas. So, that's why some people are confused. It depends on which bakery is supplying the cookies. (cont.)
And according to Travis, Caramel DeLites vs. Samoas are baked a little differently. He says the shapes are a little different between the two & there is a different texture when comparing the two. So, there are slight differences between the two in texture, shape, & taste when you compare Caramel DeLites & Samoas BOTH sold in different regions of the U.S. for Girl Scouts.
im so obsessed with girl scout cookies! I remember when the were cheap like 2.50 a box now theyre like 4.00 )= But wen I get them NOBODY touches them. I do not share my girl scout cookies! lol
Samoas not Caramel Delights. I can understand why some people are avoiding calling the cookies Samoas, but honestly when you say Samoas - people automatically think of Girl Scouts Cookies just like when you say Thin Mints & Trefoils - people automatically think of Girl Scouts cookies. If you just said Caramel Delights - people think of other companies including chocolate candies sold by other companies such as Whitman's, Sees, or whatever. (cont.)
Hinata: “would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?” Minato: “Sure I’ll take 5.” *Minato takes 5 boxes of cookies* Kushina: “Excuse me what are you doing? are you trying to kill him? he’s got diabetes!”

B.S. I'd take Tagalongs over any girl scout cookie! Tagalongs, Thin Mints and Samoas. In that particular order!
For making millions of cookies a day and only giving us 12 a box they do rip us off but it's worth it fucking love these things
I think that the girl scouts should bake their own cookies, just like how it started off.
