I've rocked with Kelly Clarkson since she won American Idol. I rock with her even harder now. My fav is thin mint. Also, there's a drink called the dirty girl scout (terrible name) that tastes like a thin mint lol

My 12 year old daughter is a Cadette, and I'm her troop leader. Cookie sales help our girls raise funds to pay for their activities. (Our girl-led troop wants to travel.) Being an older girl it is extra hard to sell - everyone wants to buy from the cute little girl scouts. Please support all scouts! They have worked hard for months to prepare for cookie sales.
And Kelly - get your girl into Girl Scouts. She will have a blast, and you would be such a fun addition to any troop!!
I was girl scout when I was about 8 years old and now my 9 year old niece is one . I'm not sure how much she has made selling cookies but I do know she sells them fast. Very overly proud auntie 😊.
When I was a Girl Scout, many long years ago, we sold the cookies ourselves, even going door to door, by ourselves. Now, I know parents don't want their kids doing that, but every time I see the Scout table outside the stores, the mothers are the ones doing the work, hauling the cookies and the kids, taking care of the money, and the girls just sit around. That is not working hard.
A, the girls are supposed to stay at the booth, unless they needs bathroom run. So yes the parents are hauling the cookie, my girl helped with set up and breakdown of all booths and helped get the cookies set up. While she was not doing the direct handling of the money she did all the math involved in telling how much the cookies cost and how much change each person got. Our council allowed every girl to take credit cards and I did input that information, but do you really want a 9 year old to be doing that? (We have no card reader so someone had to manually put in card information). All of the girls in our area worked super hard for 7 weeks of sales by the end they were all getting tired. She also went door to door in our neighborhood (I was with her but she did the selling).
I walked along as my granddaughters sold door to door. They sold over 500 boxes all in direct sales, we don't do the online sales.
Yes, be sure to buy Girl Scout Cookies so the girls can make a measly .80 on a $5 box.
Agree with you 100%. We freeze our thin mints and also like the Carmel de lites!

Tagalongs are my favorite lol The s'mores cookies in Florida are completely coated in dark chocolate and so good. Also, I've gotten a shortbread cookie dipped in dark chocolate from girls scouts and also amazing!
Samoas are my FAV. Liked the toffee tastic this year. And the shortbread are just good too. My late husband LOVED the Thin Mints always in the freezer...

My favorite are the Samoas, but I also love frozen Thin Mints. Do-si-dos are my third choice, but I really like them, too. It was my dad's favorite cookie and when I eat them, it reminds me of him.
Was a Girl Scout & even worked for the Girl Scouts for years...where I lived all leftover cookies were shipped to the summer camps....ate on those all summer long! And trefoils are my all time fav.
My favorite is Tags, but my 10YO Girl Scout Junior daughter is obsessed with Adventurefuls and S’mores.
I bought a case of Tags last March and finished them by December, just in time to order fresh cookies for Christmas. 🎁

I have five favorites in this order
1.Samoa’s
2.thin mints(frozen)
3. Lemonades(frozen)
4. Tagalongs (frozen)
5. S’mores

I like the Trefoils..been around forever. Just a simple cookie for me. Also like Samoas. My husband devours Thin Mints and also likes DoSiDos. When I was a Brownie..they were just 50cents a box. Yes they were!! I find it funny that the same cookie can have 2 different names, depending on where you live.
Thin mints are my favorite! They are awesome in the freezer! They are also AMAZING in a blender with ice cream. Samosas (called Caramel DeLites for us) are a very close second. Those and the Tag a Long (called Peanut Butter Patties in my area) are the top 3 sellers every year! We don’t have Lemon Ups. We have Lemonades. They have icing on the bottom. Also, we no longer have the s’mores. We have Toast Yays which are French toast inspired and taste like you are eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch with milk. They are AMAZING and fall right behind the Samoas for me. We also have a different gluten free. We have Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies for our gluten free. They are actually pretty tasty. They are a little dry, but dipped in milk, they are good. Also I love mint and chocolate. You should try the junior mint hot chocolate they get around Christmas. SO good!!

As a girl scout I recommend you try the other bakers cookies they have some different ones and some are made slightly different so they taste a bit different

Samoa’s with crunchy peanut butter spread is the BEST! had 3 boxes this year. Omg! Had to put myself on restriction. Holy cow - one of the best breakfast meals.

I have some favorites: Thin Mints, Lemonades and their new Adventurefuls are very tasty.
BTW, Ms Clarkson, you should try the Lemonades (not to be confused with the Lemon-ups). I tend to buy cases of these every year.
I like to freeze my Thin Mints, then use them to scoop-out my double-vanilla Ice cream. So delicious.
Yes. I love the new Adventurefuls and the name fits the scout organization. They seemed like Samoa's that are crispier and without the coconut to me.

Chop (food processor) your Thin Mints. Add a 1/4 cup of butter and press into a pan (if you are fancy use a springform pan). Add your favorite no-bake cheesecake on this cookie crust. Then melt some Andes mints and swirl them through the top of the cheesecake. Refrigerate as long as you can make yourself wait. My family of Thin Mint lovers were obsessed with this easy dessert!
I always buy: Samoas, Thin Mints & Trefoils (shortbread) That is my staple order!
But my kids love Lemon Ups... so gotta buy that one too. Both my girls were Girl Scouts so we sold LOTS of cookies!! My oldest always had the highest sales in her troop cause she was a "Go getter"! :)

My kiddo is a brownie and her favorite is the smores! They are even better in the microwave! Melt them for 10 seconds at a time. It's really good tho now, you can order cookies from links!

They are the same low grade crap ingredient cookies you can find at any mainstream grocery store
Like the previous commenter said, they’re pretty cheap but they have a nostalgia factor so they’re still enjoyable.

I live in Europe and never had a Girlscout cookie, but I know of them because of movies. So this was very interesting for me. In my country we eat a lot of peanutbutter on bread but we don't have peanutbutter in cookies.
You should really try peanut butter on cookies in that case. Its very good.
Go to your nearest American Embassy or Consulate, and see if they know a Girl Scout on a nearby US Base (GS Overseas), or can get them shipped from a Girl Scout state-side. 💚💚
Tagalongs are amazing, they are my favorite cookie. Keep them in the fridge, don’t eat them lukewarm like a crazy person. They need to be cold when served.

We only have two types of cookies for girl guides in Canada a winter cookie chocolate mint and a spring cookies which are sandwhich cookies of chocolate and Vanilla
Thin mint has been my favorite for decades. It was replaced in the past with those nice white cookie squares that had an animal on the front and chocolate or fudge dipped, but those are gone for a while now. So it's back to thin mint then the Classic Shortbread and then tagalongs which I believe were replaced by peanut butter patties which were better than tagalongs.
I love thin mints frozen too. I just can’t stop eating the damn things once I start! I’ll typically buy the Keebler version when I’m desperately waiting for the Girl Scout’s to get it together and start selling. I even enjoy the minty burps that follow after eating an entire sleeve. If you microwave the adventurefuls for like 15 seconds, they get all soft and chewy and gooey and they’re like a completely different cookie and sooooo good!
