I just heard this opera last week online, live performance from the Met. And today on radio, Met performance live via Saturday Afternoon at the Opera, CBC Music.

A masterpiece in it’s own right but I love all the small homages to the Strauss trio, Traviata, Mozart, Dvořák and I’m sure even more that I haven’t noticed yet.😊
