    Great video as always Adam. I tend not to have too much luck on the wet sand here in Cornwall. I ground balance in beach and then switch to field 1 on my Simplex+. I will give beach mode a go from now on. #onward

    Great video as usual, I couldn’t get on with the Anfibio, it’s too complicated.

      It's the Nokta finds bag. Any Nokta dealer should stock it 😊👍

    Had the same kind of junk finds with this machine on a park great air test poor depth in the real world getting sent back tomorrow and not replaced ridiculously unstable compared to the plus no mineralisation bar and a depth meter that doesn't work well and vdi that disappears with god knows what depth because the depth meter doesn't work properly ive respect for you and all the testers Adam but this needs a massive update to get it working to a reasonable standard because atm it's a totally worthless pile of junk I'm sorry if I've offended you but this machines capabilities have been blown out of proportion and nokta know it .

    • @DTEKTSUSSEX
      @DTEKTSUSSEX  Рік тому +1

      I wholeheartedly disagree with you on most of what you've said. Mineralisation bar is there and works well. Depth gauge has been accurate for me every time.
      I'm getting marginally more chatter on the beach but it's slight and manageable. I would think an update to tweak it would be in the making.
      Real world depth seems pretty good for me as well.
      I've only had a few weeks on it and I'm still tuning it. Maybe you need a bit more time to dial it in? Every machine is different and it generally takes several weeks of regular use to get used to properly. Obviously I haven't seen what you're experiencing though.

      You're saying you've actually used it in real time and it's not that great?

      Seems fine to me and many other users are saying the same. It's definitely impressing a lot of people. Obviously I can't speak to one person's experience.

      My simplex plus is destroying it in the ground the ultra mineralisation bar might work for you but mine I dead and has been since I got it and the depth meter drops out after 2 bars and the vdi is on holiday and it definitely is different to the ultra test models fact I know you disagree that's what your job is and like I said I have total respect for you I'm keeping the plus but I I can't exchange it for another model I'm getting my money back and nokta can whistle dixieland they're not conning me out of any more money and I'm going to make sure and tell as many people as I can what they've done with the test machines absolute ridiculous they're nothing but fraudulent bastrds

    I'm looking to purchase another detector, I've been thinking about a minelab equinox 600-800 or a simplex ultra, which do you think? At the moment I have a Garrett at pro which I have problems with on the wet due to the detector being single frequency so ideally the detector should be multi frequency. Hope to hear from you soon Phil

      Hey Phil,
      If you're considering the Equinox, a much better machine for you to look at is the Nokta Legend.
      I have a whole playlist on the machine including an overview video showing the menus, build etc.
      The performance is compatible to the Equinox...better in some ways.
      The Legend doesn't, however, have any of the structural weaknesses the Equinox is famous for. Also, the Equinox waterproofing regularly fails whereas the Legend has never had a single instance of water ingress.
      The Legend is lightweight, robust, wireless, rechargeable, easy to use and incredibly powerful.
      The other benefit is that Nokta don't overcharge for their machines either.
      I'd strongly recommend it.

    Çould someone explain why some Nokta detectors like Gold Racer were discontinued by the company,despite it's 56 Htz high frequency ability to detect small nuggets?

    • @DTEKTSUSSEX
      @DTEKTSUSSEX  Рік тому

      Technology moves on and with new products, older ones need to be discontinued to make room.
      If the sales were still high enough they would have kept it going or released an updated version.
      Nokta are always innovating and developing new machines. Perhaps there are plans for something in the future 👍

    Hi Adam!
    This is a rather basic topic but something that hasn't been talked about much, except in Nokta's manuals.
    After starting up a detector, I believe that the first thing one should do is to maximize the gain (sensitivity setting) while holding the coil in mid air.
    If there is any interference at max throttle - change the frequency to see if that gets rid of any EMI. If not, change it back to the default frequency.
    I believe it's important to do this BEFORE one starts lowering (if neccessary) the gain with the coil close to the ground, hence that could mean that you risk running in a lower sensitivity setting than need be.
    Please do comment.
    Best,
    Anders, from Sweden

      It would depend on your machine and how much adjustment you have available to you.
      On a more basic machine without noise cancellation, frequency shift etc. then the process you suggest would help eliminate local EMI.
      However, with more advanced features like these it's better to keep the coil near the ground where it will be operating and adjust from there 😊👍

      @@DTEKTSUSSEX - "On a more basic machine without noise cancellation, frequency shift etc. then the process you suggest would help eliminate local EMI".
      But then there would be no frequency shift mode available...😳

    • @DTEKTSUSSEX
      @DTEKTSUSSEX  Рік тому

      Yes...most basic machines don't have that function.

    Thanks for the video, Adam. Amazing difference!
    By the way, it looks like you are using Nokta's Premium Sand Scoop with Nokta's Rod Set.
    Personally I have always been hesitant using a 'foldable' sandscoop. Happy with it?

      Hi Anders,
      The sand scoop is honestly the best I've used. Incredibly robust. There's absolutely no give in the telescopic handle and the performance of the scoop itself is superb.
      I've been using this since April 2021 and it's still going strong 😊👍
