Clutch is such a great band. You never get the same thing twice. I've been a fan since around 1996 and every album is different yet at the same time they're always Clutch. The entire self titled album is my personal favorite. Check out any song from that album!!!
JP is responsible for the most memorable concert experience of my life! My wife and I went to a show in Minneapolis and we got the tickest where we were at the sound check. After sound check, we're standing in line for merch and JP walks up to us with a broken drumstick. He says to my wife: I looked down and saw you watching the drums, and my stick broke. You laughed a little, and I thought you'd like to have this. He hands her the stick and walks away. I'll remember that the rest of my life. There's a guy who cares about fans! Just had to tell this story somewhere!
JP is a consummate professional, and has skills that just about any drummer can learn something from him. At the heart heart of any any great band, is an even greater drummer providing the glue. JP fits that perfectly, and he's a pretty cool guy too. Clutch - best American rock band right now. (only American rock band? where's the music?)
No idea how it's taken me this long to find this video of yours as a massive Clutch fan! Not one to react to, but there's an older Clutch video on my channel that has a long arse jam and the percussion takes the prize
I’ve seen clutch 8 or 9 times and I’ve never seen them play that song that fast. Wonder if they were just trying to get through it to get out of the rain 😂😂😂😂
Great to see ya do some Clutch! They're in a class of their own. Kinda like Meshuggah.. but nothing like Meshuggah lol More Meshuggah! Check Stengah. Great drum concept you'll trip over and enjoy.
You should check out ALL Clutch. It's all a little bit different, and refuses to be forced into a specific genre, like Rock-N-Roll used to be. Studio albums are awesome. Live..., truly facemelting!
Well that was interesting! It might be due to being wireless, is why nobody is getting ZAPPPED!! If you are looking for close up... See MEINL Cymbals w/ JP sounds and looks stellar!! WHOA!!
I think that JP is the closest thing we have currently to vintage Bill Ward. Black Sabbath should’ve used him to record the “13” album instead of Brad Wilk (who’s fine on his own, but recorded the most boring drum tracks possible for that album)
One of the biggest reasons they are so tight is that the band has never changed lineups. They added an organist for a few years (RIP Mick) but other than that, it has been the same members since their first release. I recommend "Escape from the Prison Planet" from their Live in Flint album.
Mate from the same gig you need to see DC Sound Attack with a 2nd drummer all in the RAIN its a 55 minute gig 2015 Voodoo music arts experience New Orleans basically underwater. DC Sound Attack starts around 48 minutez in
Oh man a classic from my youth. These guys were great when I was growing up. Gonna have to look them back up. Odd request because it made me look up old bands and these guys came up. ua-cam.com/video/1LLAN29W-4w/v-deo.html This band was called battles and they were an amazing rhythm electronic band. I just think the kit amazing and they are quite good at their style and idk if there are to many bands like them
Hey! No idea if your ever posted something this band, but you might be interested in Symphony X. Would recommend "Accolade II" or "The Odissey", just be aware that "the Odyssey" is 24m long! Cheers!
JP is a beast -- This video has cool aesthetic with the rain but there's a drum cam vid from Meinl in 2013 that's better for a drummer-centric reaction.
Thank you for reviewing JP and Clutch! Some people call Clutch Stoner Rock but they're so much more than that name implies. There are too many awesome songs to recommend, but "The Soapmakers" "Dragonfly" anything off of "Jam Room" or "Blast Tyrant" or "Robot Hive" (i.e. Burning Beard) are just amazing works. Or you could go with my personal fav cold drum open ua-cam.com/video/9qarW6nDNmM/v-deo.html
Love your videos and different artists you showcase. You should react to Tatsuya Amano drum cam from Crossfaith performing 'Leviathan'. Great japanese metal band
Been one of my favorite bands since 2001. Only issue I have with this recording is that they play it SO much faster than the original recording on the album and I just don't enjoy it as much.

Drums & Coffee!
🥁☕🙌
Yes! Thank you for doing more Clutch. I'd probably recommend The Face from their album Earth Rocker. Alot of juicy drum texture and a super solid song
Thanks! 🥁🙏
I would highly recommend The Face.
This band has been very fun to watch evolve over the years. Love these guys!
Yup. Love it! 🙌

I have a tattoo that says new world samurai.
@@twohands2152 ...and a redneck none the less
watching the band play in the rain, awesome. Subscribed
Clutch is a genre all their own
Yay more Clutch! Honestly, you’d get a better look at what JP is doing by watching the official video of this tune.
Clutch, to me, sounds like rock music that pirates would play if pirates played rock.🏴☠☠
🤣👌
That would be Alestorm actually lol
Aye!
HEEHAW HEEHAW HEEHAW HEEHAW
I'M A ROCK N ROLL OUTLAW
Big News 1 and 2 has the pirate vibes for sure!
These men deliver the goods and bring it with passion and ass kicking attitude love them .greatest band of all time
Yeah I'm into this Toby!
I have no idea how I missed this video. Clutch is my favorite band and I've had the pleasure of seeing JP play drums 27 times, so far! Cheers Andrew.
best band ya never heard off........................... god they are so damn good
LOVE IT
Oh my god! I really wanted to hear JP on this channel. I love Clutch live and I allways look at him nearly all the time!
And seconds in I hear that you allready talked about Earth Rocker? I wonder how I missed that. Even better: 2 videos to watch!
Go get it!!!

Neil’s vocals are epic!
Yup! 🙌

Yup love his style!
Jean-paul is the god of groove
So good!
One of JP’s many amazing beats!!! Absolute beast!! Dive in bro!!!

New fan of clutch here!
@@AndrewRooneyDrums Glad to hear it mate! JP is something else, I'm not a drummer and I could watch him for days. Maybe try Red Horse Rainbow next
Clutch are true masters of their craft they are always practicing and reaching new musical Heights
I always tell people, if you are blessed to be close to, or able to see CLUTCH live, you have never experienced such a spiritual awakening!!
I’ve seen clutch 8 or 9 times and I’ve never seen them play that song that fast.
Wonder if they were just trying to get through it to get out of the rain 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣👌
A lot of that set seems like that haha!
Great to see ya do some Clutch!
They're in a class of their own.
Kinda like Meshuggah.. but nothing like Meshuggah lol
More Meshuggah!
Check Stengah.
Great drum concept you'll trip over and enjoy.

I love they just do what they want and aren't tied to a genre
I'm seeing them again this Saturday for the 2nd time in 6 months.
EXCELLENT!
Great video! Check out D.C Sound Attack as well - it's got some tasty go-go beats, and go-go is a genre of its own worth exploring!
AWESOME, but the official video is killer, too!
Thanks Ryan. I believe ya!
Check out their song "Ghost".
🤘🏼 can't wait to see clutch again in April. I've lost count at this point.
Check out the song "homeschooling " with Neil Fallon. His voice is amazing.
JP is the man. New album just came out and he stepped up his game again.
Jean paul gaster!! Groove Maker!! Awesome from the begining of Clutch Band!!
Definitely one of the best under rated band's Neil is an amazing vocalist
please check out the official vid of this -it's wild!
Well that was interesting! It might be due to being wireless, is why nobody is getting ZAPPPED!! If you are looking for close up... See MEINL Cymbals w/ JP sounds and looks stellar!! WHOA!!
Just saw Clutch in Baltimore for the release of the new album 🤘🏼 Easily one of the best live bands still actively touring!
MD PRIDE 🖤💛♥️🤍
Great Carmen! 🙌
Christian hicks. Perfectly sums up the town I love in.
I think that JP is the closest thing we have currently to vintage Bill Ward. Black Sabbath should’ve used him to record the “13” album instead of Brad Wilk (who’s fine on his own, but recorded the most boring drum tracks possible for that album)
if the fans show up, Clutch always shows out!
Preach it!

Jean-paul has his own band too ... Give "the bakerton group" a listen.
🙏

JP’s The Man 👍🏼
So good
You can hear the military drum training in all his stuff
Hey! No idea if your ever posted something this band, but you might be interested in Symphony X. Would recommend "Accolade II" or "The Odissey", just be aware that "the Odyssey" is 24m long!
Cheers!
Thanks Tiago!
clutch has always been called " The best band you never heard of" ,
Honorable mention: Neil summoning Peter Steele.
Sush a unique band, legends

is the tricky part in 7/4, with a hemiola-like modulation going on?
A Les Paul supreme.....in the rain! Remember kids that Gibson only uses lacquer finish- which is in no way water-resistant!
Nice Rob! 👌
Love your videos and different artists you showcase. You should react to Tatsuya Amano drum cam from Crossfaith performing 'Leviathan'. Great japanese metal band
Meinl cymbals featured JP on a few videos. He’s 💯 better live but he’s just a beast in general. Criminally underrated.
JP is one of the top 5 drummers to ever have existed.
React DAVID DIEPOLD again sir
you awesome drum teacher
They played this at like 3x normal speed
The seven habits of the highly infected calf…
Been one of my favorite bands since 2001. Only issue I have with this recording is that they play it SO much faster than the original recording on the album and I just don't enjoy it as much.
If you're gonna do clutch Andrew you need to do 10001110101
Okay! Thanks Andy!!
Texan Book Of The Dead
If you really want to see JP play this song, check out this video that focuses on his part.
ua-cam.com/video/G22m_Bu4SEo/v-deo.html
Seems like a terrible video to review this song and drumming. Great groove on this jam.
I think this guy lives under a rock and not the one clutch laid down. This band has been killing it for 30 years.
Glad to find them Randy 👌
@@AndrewRooneyDrums see this is how you just, ya know.. not be a dick for the sake of being a dick.
