Just found your channel, awesome build! I have a 2022 Mazda3 MT that I'm trying to decide on power upgrades after I upgrade all the differnt suspension components and get some light-weight wheels. I'm happy to see this kit is holding up. Have you seen mikstore has a bunch of cf hoods now? You considering getting the oem one and dropping all that weight from the oem? You could paint the exterior of it to maintain the sleeper build
@@supermazda3 I was looking for more detail because 12 pounds doesn't sounds right for how heavy the oem hood is. The only hood I see them give a weight figure on is the "KODO" hood, mostly made of FRP with just that CF inlay. Were you able to get more information directly from mikstore?
Great vid!! I know this is off topic from the video discussion, but are there any required upgrades to other parts to install the vt supercharger? My car is a 2017 Mazda 6 GT
hi Justin, I have a Mazda 3 2.0na, will apply the mod u suggest. For the air intake, do you think ram air intake system is much better than a k&n drop-in air filter? maybe drop-in air filter is enough? i deleted my second cat, and i use Flowmaster super 10 series single chamber muffler... final target is to have the VT twin screw supercharger...
Been reading about some people taking thier stock airboxes and removing the lower resonater half. This apparently helps with airflow, and also gives the engine more sound. Those with the turbo said it gives it all those sounds that the SRI would give, like the blow off sound, ext.. However, others chime in and say its not worth because its now pulling in warmer air and reduces performance. Curious if you have seen anything about this mod, or have any thoughts! Its a lot cheaper (free) then buying an SRI kit lol
@@supermazda3 makes sense. I was thinking about trying it on mine, but I have a turbo and there's actually no resonator at all on my air box. An aftermarket cold air intake is really my only choice if I'm chasing for engine sound without losing performance. I'm thinking I'll just fabricate my own in the shop though, 250+$ for pipes and filters is crazy to me!!
Just ordered a fuel pump, I also shelled out the money for an injen CAI. About 30k miles ago I installed ruthenium spark instead of iridium, should I still opt for GTR spark plugs?
hi, i was just curious about the mods i can do to my 4th gen 2.0 fwd, currently have a drop in k&n and pre silencer and silencer delete, im thinking about making more power without a tune, what do u recommend for the engine size and conditions (2500 above sea level)
Ive got a great question. My 2021 skyactive G 2.5L NA has some lag. So when I push the throttle down I move forward but very slowly then it goes 2sec later. However this only happens when im not shifting the gears for it. I'm wondering if maybe its not down shifting from 2nd. Only happens when coming to a stop. What are your thoughts?
@@supermazda3 yeah its an automatic. I did do a transmission relearn. seems like that didn't work. However its better when using sports mode. I have the 2.5l N/A awd system
Can’t wait to see the results of your testing !!!
Me too
Thank you for the vids man been watching for a while, question on the cat "delete" if there is any audible difference, thank you.
@andrewkarpekin7033 small difference when the rest of the car is stock. Sounds better not really louder
Wouldn’t it be easier to go to a shop to completely remove the 2nd cat and replace it with a same size exhaust tube ?
Yes, but it ain't gone be as cheap and many shops won't do it. I had a shop do mine

@babblingSponge I'm keeping the stock hood. There's maybe a 12lbs difference. I can't justify $1k for that

Probably the stage 2 burger motorsports intake
@@mrluistito69 i think yeah, just see Justin's video, he has an open pod intake and lower part of the stock air box

I wanna install something that directs cool air into it though.
@mrluistito2529 dont we have it alrdy? The stock will hv cool air pull while the car move
Anymore questions 😂
I wonder if i can put a miata valve cover on my 3 2.5 they look way nicer then that plastic cover i have

Leave the resonator on there's hot right below due to the radiator

is there charcoal filter in 4th gen also?

Is the LC500 fuel pump confirmed to not fit on a 2020 6 turbo, or is it just untested at the moment?
@@feline6789 it doesn't fit

@antoniodelatorre731 I personally like the double iridium vs. the ruthenium. I have used both
what does upgrading spark plugs give?
Better heat dissipation at higher RPM
Im looking to install lc500 on a skyactiv X. What should I look for before installing?
The key to remove your low pressure gas tank cap. Make sure you do it when you’re low on gas like 1/5 of tank left.
Or you will get gas
Everywhere…
Ir should be exactly the same
Genuine question, what would the benefits of these be without a tune? I'm attempting not to void my warranty just yet lol

i think he recommended the spark plugs and fuel pump upgrade ....
All the same mods as the 4th gen 2.5l
Does breaking the cat like shown in the video create turbulence because of the change in diameter?
More turbulence than a straight pipe but better from that with the cat still in. You have less refraction without the cat
