- This covers 99% of all my mods, I might have missed 1 or 2 small items.
With all that I’ve put into the car it’s still cheaper than buying a 4th Gen Turbo & I get better fuel economy along with making more horsepower!
260whp & 248TQ
Thank you guys for following my journey so far, I’ve been really busy help everyone getting their Skyactiv-Gs Dialed in.

Very transparent and detailed cost breakdown. Well done bro
Thank you bro
Removing a cat is a non no, I wouldn’t mention that in a public video.
Quote of the year: "If I see chrome, I think grandpa"
Shout out to the best tuner out there! Thanks Justin!
That's me 👴🏾
Amazing stuff, the breakdown was super helpful! Hopefully in the future with videos like this, there will be a community behind upgrading to the supercharger here in Msia
Thank you, the supercharger already pushing the engine to it's absolutely limits. We are already getting close to the stock fuel system limits
Great video! Editing is getting better and better. Love the breakdown.
Thank you
Nice build brother! Simply a man who enjoys a mazda. I saw your passion in this build, hopefully a supercharger and exhaust sound check in the next video
Thank you 🙏🏾
Nice video bro! It is nice to hear someoen being transparent, detailed and diret towards the idea of the video. Congrats
Thanks for sharing this video! Hoping to get the supercharger once I pay off my hatch soon. Going to be using your video for reference.
You will thoroughly enjoy it!
Nice touch doing the sleeper build and adding the chrome.
Thank you sir
Thank you so much for your content, greetings from Mexico..... I just got my 2.5 (not turbo) Mazda 3 sedan
I will release more here soon. Thank you for your support
Great video man!
Appreciate it!
Love the video, few notes personally:
Whenever you say “imma add pictures “ add pictures at that moment for a better visual to match the current audio, and when you are price everything have it show in the side bar or something as an overlay on the video- again just better visual with the audio.
Otherwise, a good break down of why was done and what is needed and what’s more personal preference
I absolutely would have done that 😂 but it literally just made this using my iPhone movie maker. I had that intention but the iPhone is not that user friendly
This nicca!!
GREAT video--- I'll give this to the mechanic that will be installing mine.
I hope you enjoy it
You've got Titanium Nuts ,,, That's a big call mate lol
nice job real sleeper
cheers from NSW Australia
😂
Awesome build, bro! Just keep in mind that your rear motor mount should be upgraded, too. Don't let that engine move like a fish out of water!
It doesn't & I'm not upgrading the rear motor mount because I'm trying to reduce interior rattles. I'd like my car to be more refined in the interior. So I'm installing Rigid Collars this week
That's how I feel about the K&N, I don't live in a sandy or countryside. I live in a small town but it's right next to the city. So I wasn't so worried about particles. I change my oil every 5k miles anyways.
I still believe it's the best drop-in on the market & AFE doesn't perform as well based on my customer feedback
Nice work
Thank you
Outstanding breakdown, as usual! I'm slowly gathering the periphery parts that you've meticulously laid out, but I'm curious, with the change to the higher-pressure fuel pump, have you noticed a drop in fuel economy? My gut tells me it would be an obvious yes, but wondering if the tune can (does?) offset that during normal operation.
No drop in fuel economy because the ECU shortens the injection spray to match the air but the fuel atomizes better due to slightly higher pressure. My fuel economy actually increased
@@supermazda3 No doubt! Another thing the wife can’t use against me! 🤣 Now off to find the lock ring removal tool
That’s the funny thing - a faster car with more air flow actually makes it more fuel efficient! My Jeep went from 9mpg to 15mpg w the procharger. Thanks for the point about the second cat converter-I did not know that removing that will help power in the 3
Excellent video, very well done, I have a question: is it compatible with Mazda 3 2023 2.5l Turbo Awd!?
The supercharger is not, but your turbo is capable of more power. I can tune your car if you would like. It will be much faster than my supercharged mazda 3
Love the car bro
Thank you man, i need to get my editing up to par like yours!
@@supermazda3 I appreciate that man but your content is great keep it coming !
Great informative video...! Intrigued re the tune... is the factory ECU used with a retune, or is an aftermarket ECU required? Are shift points same for auto gearbox? 2018 CX-5 AWD 2.5. Cheers!
Factory ECU and the shift points are the same for the automatic gearbox unless you want them to be different.
Been waiting for a video like this brother, thanks big time 🫶
No problem
Can you do a video on how to install a oil catch can
Yes, when i get back from Alaska
Was waiting to hear the engine .
I get you some of that, but it's quiet
Interesting stuff but give the people what they want some pulls or at least some revs
I will, have a few videos but don't reportme to the Feds 🤣
In the internal rear lights of the trunk lid we have the LED bar in the headlight but the installation is not done in the low range
It is done on Sedans but not hatchbackz
is there a video of you driving this damn thing
fr lol. need to hear it
No seriously we need to hear it.
Yes, I've been saving a lot of videos. I was waiting for the right time to release them 😂
@@TonyCashHouse it's pretty quiet, I'll set up the camera
@@bread6235 sounds almost stock 🤣
I dropped the mazda 3 as mi next car bc of te hp and the weight, but looking at this mod im feeling its the way
Start off slow or you'll end up spending enough money to buy a turbo model 😂
Is the fuel pump on this essity for the 4th gen with the regular pulley or is it only a necessity because you run the small pulley?
Also I'm out here in Colorado as well would love to take you out to dinner and get your advice on supercharging my Gen4 hatch
For 4th gen, the fuel pump is necessary for the smaller pulley & highly recommend for standard pulley too
Bravo!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you
What store did you mention in the video? Is it Mikstore?
Yes, Mikstore
Did you have to do any modifications to the engine itself to deal with the extra boost from the super charger , or does the stock do a good job at handling it ?
Stock engine with Bolt-on modifications
Drove to Alaska 6mos ago, eh? How much dirt/dust did you pickup on the way there and back?
Nope, I flew there haha
@@supermazda3 aw man there's always next year!
Would it be worth running e85 alongside this supercharger? I am curious how the motor would take any additional power, I saw in another comment you estimated the car to have ~250whp after a finalized tune. I would also be interested in reaching out to you about my gen2 mazda 3 hatch 2.0L Sky-G.
260whp on 2.5l & about 230whp on 2.0l
What year is this Mazda 3? I know you didn't Dyno, but any rough estimate of Horsepower/Torque? Nice color.
It's a 2019, last dyno was 244whp 230TQ on 91 octane that was before i finished the tune.
My estimate now is about 250whp on 91 octane.
So are we gonna see any races or at least a driving POV?
Plenty, I get back home in a week
How did you apply the aluminum honeycomb air straightener to it did you use a adhesive?
I used 1 screw & i don't even think i needed it
@@supermazda3 do a video on how you install it🙏
@@mrgrizz0672 yes I posted it a few months ago
How many hp did you gain? Do u think that this works for the front wheel drive(non turbo mazda3 2019)? Great work man!
Stock was 154whp I'm currently at 260whp so 106whp higher than stock.
It works best on FWD
@@supermazda3 i wonder if they make this VT kit for BK XD was driving a BK 2.0 sedan, i am interested in buying either a 2015/2016 2.0 sedan BM or an MPS 2011, obviously having both will be best but yeah if money was not an issue, the BK was great handling car and 150hp was pnetiful enough for daily driving, but am just bored and trying to feel what it's like to own an MPS level mazda
Siiiick
Thank you
Where did you pull coolant from for the charge air cooler in the supercharger?
It has it's own separate system
@@supermazda3 I looked up more details and see the new LTR loop that you add. Have you noticed any decrease in A/C performance since you're blocking the sub-cool region of the condenser? Does it not blow as cold on a hot day?
@@SecretAsianMan2222 no issues, it blows cold
Bro let’s get some 0 to 60 pull vids on the speedometer. I’m really curious to see how it pulls
Will do
I really want to do this to my 2019 awd 3, but this just isnt a popular thing to do where i live. I wish there were more installation videos, but then again if i install it all myself, where the hell am i gonna have it tuned? Ugh, i just wish there were a few more mazda boyz out there in my area so we could all work together like the honda boyz do
I tune them, via email. If you just want a little extra power while still NA I can do that as well
@supermazda3 oh really? That's awesome, what is your email, sir?
@@hovojefe mazdasaucetuning@gmail.com
could this supercharger kit work with the 2.5 manual?
Absolutely, they make over 300TQ & 3% more HP than an Automatic
Interested in getting my 2015 mazda6 supercharged. It has almost 150,000 miles though. Should I supercharge?
Definitely, we have a guy with like 300k miles on his car. 70k miles with it Supercharged
What’s pandas discount plz tell me more abt the discount for the mikstore speakers
It's 10% off your orders, use code Panda
nice!
Thank you
Did the 2nd cat delete alter the sound of the exhaust?!?
Slightly yes, but nothing crazy just more deep
Would you happen to know if the Gen4 6MT would be able to handle the extra power/torque from the supercharger?
Yes, but i suggest staying with the normal pulley the stock clutch can not handle the smaller pulley
I currently have tuned 2 Gen 4th MTs with the supercharger, they are very happy with the results
@@supermazda3 how much power would I be looking at with the standard pulley? I’m looking for performance similar to the 2.5T… but they don’t have the 2.5T in manual :(
@@harpony6051 it will be much faster than a stock 2.5t you will be making 250whp on the standard pulley on the Manual, automatic needs the smaller pulley to make the same power. A stock 2.5t makes 220whp on 93 octane
Add an SRI, catback and JB4 piggyback tune and that 2.5T is a whole other animal tho. @@supermazda3
How do u pass smog checks??? I have a 17 6 gt and would love to do this but i live in California. Is this stuff smog legal?? Car looks great!
It can pass smog, but honestly just getting a tune is enough to make the car fun
@@supermazda3 it csn pass smog but is this kit California? smog legal? U can't even tune ur car in California without it failing.
@@puddleduckistyes California is something else, I'm glad i left there. It's definitely not legal over there but i know more that a few people that have the kit on their car in California & haven't had any issues with emissions.
If you put the engine cover on you can't even see the supercharger
@@supermazda3 Thats true but a tuned ecu isn't smog legal either. Those mods u did to the air box wouldn't pass the visual inspection here either. They probably know someone who us hooking them up! My wife n I plan on moving out of ripoffornia anyway someday so maybe then I can tune till my hearts content!! I bet the supercharger sounds great when u get on it!!! Looks like a nice kit for the 💰!!
AFE power makes a free-oil air filter.
Yes but those didn't come out until after i already had my K&N. The dry flow is actually more restrictive than my K&N. I've recommended their dry flow to a few people already. I listed them in my air filter video. Thank you!
Excellent work sir. So the transmission doesn’t need any tuning? Do you feel good torque at lower rpm?
What catch can kit do you have or did you put it together yourself?
Does removing the second cat make the car louder?
Thank you & sorry for all the questions.
No transmission tuning, and the TQ is amazing at low RPM. The catch can is listed in the vidoe towards the end
Can we see how this car drives!!!
Thursday, I will get a video 😁
Like yours vídeo bro
Thank you!
is the fuel pump a direct plug in or do i need a different harness?
You have to cut the stock bracket apart that connected to the strainer. That's all
@supermazda3 sorry ig I don't understand what that means 😭
@AWD.MZ3 I made a video on my channel about the fuel pumo
Would buying the turbo model have been the better choice?
Yes, if you can afford it
these superchargers were $1000 before covid happened.
No way! They used to cost more. Around $4500
@@supermazda3$999 on ebay by the main seller before the us sellers go their hands on them. I remember that I wanted one because they were so cheap but I didnt know if I can trust them. And now they are so expensive.
Can you add this supercharger on the 2.5L turbo engine?
No
Dude I think your biceps added more weight to the car than the supercharger.
😂
how much power is it making now?
On 91 octane ~250wHP
Does the US have import fees?
No
I thought an aftermarket oil cooler was needed?
No, it's not necessary but a good idea of you plan on taking your car to the track
Can I add a vt supercharger to a Mazda cx-50 😮💨 i really want to get one but I haven’t seen a video about it and if so may you make a video and we can build it together if possible 💯

hello, why recirculating oil vapor into your supercharger, looking a the performance aspect of the setup might be better to go atmospheric for oil vapors even if it might stink 😆🤣
The same reason i still have my catalytic converter, I don't want my car smelling like a beat up wrx that's burning oil.
So yeah, I don't care for the stink. I'd prefer a lower chance of cancer lmao
@supermazda3 I kept my cat and will keep it too.
@supermazda3 actually what you say is very wise, it is about balance. So I guess I'll go for an oversize oil catch can and a super advanced green tea extract 🤣 better to be able to experience several skyactiv generations. And consistent with the Japanese vibe 😉

It's NOT about being CHEAPER than turbo--- TURBO is BAD for the car-- creates HEAT, wears down the engine- burns the oil and gums up stuff, and is bad- not to mention the stupid LAG that could get you hurt in heavy traffic.
My reasons are just different from yours. Have you driven the mazda 3 2.5t turbo? There is not much lag at all. The turbo is small. The supercharger maintenance is definitely easier
@@supermazda3 NO- I"m interested in the CX-50 and they say it's a bit pokey on the regular engine.. for most folk.
I love how you haven't driven the turbo yet but make these claims based off of what you've either heard or read. Absolutely crazy and is hilarious and maybe one of the biggest issues with the community in Mazda. There's like barely any lag and zero issues over 50k miles later. So what are you talking about? I've had NA cars with less miles run more issues. I even modded my 21 mazda3 2.5T with tune, exhaust, intake and more. Sure It will take it down from that projected 200k but let's not act like turbo is trash from the start. I've already gotten 1/4 the way to projected life, I'm confident I'll get to 100k before anything big happens. I personally think supercharged is better but I still love my turbo. No hate man, just seems like a very closed minded ignorant opinion.
@@jaymarquis3482 I've driven a LOT of turbo cars-- just not this one. and I don't so much hate the turbo as expense of caring for it- when it does fail or develope issues. They cause the oil to thicken and burn- wear out the engine sooner- and other isses.. if if the manage to skip the lag.. it's a chance I do NOT wish to take-- especially when a standard engine is plenty good enough.. and Later I can add SUPERCHARGER which will NOT wear the engine and has NO lag..
