This is a video on how to replace the license plate bulb in a Honda vehicle (Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda Pilot, etc...). I decided to replace my bulbs with LED bulbs instead of the stock bulbs my 2014 Honda CR-V came with. The Honda CR-V takes 194 bulbs but your Honda vehicle might take a different bulb with the same housing so make sure to check your owner's manual.
This worked for my 2007 CRV which also has only one bulb. I thought I was going to have to open the whole inside panel of my tailgate, so I had been putting it off for two weeks. The guy at Autozone couldn't even do it. After seeing this video, it was done in about 1 minute. Thank you sooooo much!!!!!!

Just want to say thanks so much for this DIY video!! I watched it after having no idea how to get to the light bulb and went right out to my car and had the bulb changed in like 5 minutes. I'm thrilled and being able to do this myself an not have to pay someone to bail me out :)
Like others, I found this extremely helpful. For others, I had to use a flat head screwdriver to push the fixture left and right to snap it out. I couldn't get the leverage with just my fingers. Oh, and I cheated, I used both hands...🙂 Thanks, Eric

This worked fine on my 2008 Honda CRV however the lens would not pull to the right even using both hands, the solution was to put a large tie-wrap around the lens and use enough force to pop it out. Thanks for the video.

My 2014 crv only had 1 bulb on the license frame on the left side. The right side didn’t have a wire or bulb idk why

It worked as you said, I did watched another vid in witch this individual did it in like 2 mins, so I tried but no luck, I saw your vid and follow everything you said and it workd, and yes I follow the same instructions for the other vid and no luck, Idk I might have gotten a bit inpatien and frustrated that it did not work the 1st time but I did hit like on the other vid and as well I will hit like on yours, thanks again👍

I have a 2008 CR-V with a single light, centered above my tag, and it won't slide in either direction! I tried prying it up with a flathead screwdriver without success. Help!
Can't find a video for a 2018 Civic able to put the plug but can't access the light.

Thank you, but unfortunately I got the led bulbs with the diodes on top only and not the sides like yours. My LEDs will not shine as bright, or down the license plate.
Not sure why you say they are 194 bulbs, everywhere you look says 168
