Mi associo al meritatissimo BRAVO di B.U. Krueger e alla speranza di poter ascoltare anche le altre 6 sonate per 2 violini e basso continuo. Intanto queste sono deliziose e molto bene eseguite
Wunderschöne und detaillierte Interpretation dieser sechs kompakten und melodisch komponierten Sonaten in verschiedenen Tempi mit seidigem Ton der Barockvioline und schimmerndem Klang des Cembalos sowie gut harmonisierten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Faszinierend vom Anfang bis zum Ende!

Usually continuo gets on my nerves after a bit. Too much harpsichord. But this music has cello (?) and lute (?) on the continuo line as well so it’s not nearly as grating.
Baroque ensembles directed by a lutenist, like Vincent Dumestre, or Christina Pluhar (Arpeggiatta) can really alternate Harspichord/positive organ with Lute in the continuo - even adding Harp, or baroque guitar, basson, Cello.... providing so many beautiful colors. But in most of the other ensembles, (and as a lutenist I know what I'm speaking about) the lute (archlute/theorbo) is purely decorative (therefor better to cast a gorgeous young lutenist ;-) : you just move your fingers, no need to touch the strings : nobody ear it ! LOL.

Forget the magic Purcell, the hipster Forqueray, the extra-terrestrial genius Bach, the crazy Biber, the sensual Strozzi, the mystic Charpentier, the magnificent Lully... and welcome in salons" , with very "compliant" music, with so predictive chords, A_B_B_A_B_A_B structure, and - sorry to say : sooo boring!
