thats why these elephants are called orphans!!! being sad won't bring their parents back to life. What you can do to contribute is to bring donations to this sanctuary so that these few amazing people can continue doing their noble works
This has me in tears of joy and of sorrow .Namal is astonishing All do have manners and a quiet dignity .. as do the staff here .. If I understand correctly each of these is orphaned due t traps and hunting ie HUMANS ... Thank goodness for such organizations *
Os elefantes são um dos meus favoritos animais. São lindos, elegantes, dóceis e educados. Adorei esse vídeo. kkkkkk Elephants are one of my favorite animals. They are beautiful, elegant, docile and educated. I loved this video.
They have a policy of keeping distance to discourage them becoming attached and reliant on humans, since they’re to be released back to the wild. Little Namal is the exception, since he’s too fragile to be ever released.
I thought the same thing too when I first fell in love with them, lol! Actually they cannot tolerate cows milk. Has too much fat in it. Eles natural diet consists of no fat. If you've the chance (and haven't already, lol) Go to DSWT David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust page! Dame Daphne Sheldrick developed a specific milk that most places adopted. Coconut milk and infant formula is what most consists of. Once you go visit it, warning because OMG, they are the absolute top of true care of orphans! (No malice in my statement whatsoever next) I am not a big fan of this place because ele's need to suckle and the tube down their throats seems cold. I've also seen that there is no proof that withholding affection from them hinders their success upon return to the wild.
@nuren no, that is NOT what DSWT does. DSWT takes in and replaces the herd. They stay by them as the mother would. They guide and protect as well as encourage them to maintain healthy family bonds. They are moved to another place where they slowly introduce them to Wild Eles and Ex-Orphans. The Ex orphans come and know when new ones arrive. They decide when it's the right time to go back into the wild. If they come back to visit, great. If they do not, that is also great. Many go off, mate and bring their babies back. The caregivers do not touch them as they did when the orphans were around.
how orderly!one of my dreams is to see an elephant.im praying for these people who care for these animals to last their patience and love..because i am one of the people who has yet to witness some of God's creations.😊
Incrível o comportamento destes animais...Como respeitam e sabem quando devem ir beber o leite esperando pela sua vez, que belo exemplo nos dão a nós humanos não é? Devíamos ter mais respeito por eles!!!!
These Elephants act better than some human's.... Just imagined if this was, "BLACK FRIDAY"!!!!, The day after Thanksgiving, if this was a bunch of HUMANS they're will be shoving, pushing, fighting, cursing, trampling over the old and very young ... They will be of the hook!!, EVERYBODY THAT RACE INTO THOSE STORES ON BLACK FRIDAY JUST TO GET A BETTER DEAL, I SAY, WELL TAKE A LESSON FROM THE ANIMAL KINGDOM... "THE ELEPHANTS"...
I saw a reportage that in Africa the babys are fed milk with a bottle . The keeper holds the bottle and at the same time stroke the baby. What i just saw there was no contact with the baby .
Plug Industries Well calves drink mamas milk till they're weaned. Adults travel long distances eating fruit, tree bark, grass, small plants Up to 170kg of food daily... they are vegan:))
They are so well mannered because they are in a herd that is well mannered. The new elephants quickly learn their social skills from the existing members, and in turn pass them on. In the wild, elephants that don't behave like the rest of the herd quickly find themselves alone, so they instinctively toe the line.
Yeah, that makes sense, the good manners contagious, one elephant sees the rest acting a certain way so he does the same to fit in. We're sort of the same in that way. I do have another question, I noticed in several shots while the elephants were drinking the milk, their eyes are pointed out to the side and sorta downward a bit. They weren't looking at the milk they were drinking or the carers feeding it to them. What were they looking at? Almost every elephant does the same thing. I've also seen pigs do that too. I do have one guess on that, that they aren't really looking at anything, they're just staring into the middle distance while they're turning more to focusing on their sense of smell, and taste. I have read that elephants do have very strong sense of smell. I'm guessing that their smell is their eyes and ears at certain moments including when they're drinking milk
@@alvexok5523 I think you're right. Elephants have poor eyesight and are very walleyed. Their eyes point down naturally, I don't know why. Maybe because most of what is important to an elephant is on the ground. They have the most acute sense of smell in the animal kingdom, and rely on that instead of their eyes for most of the information they get from the world.
incredible story of elephantine, I love their work very much! our elephant loves the hot milk of this every other video there, I wanted to take this hot milk from this guy 1:28, delicious !!!😍

I’m assuming they’re being fed milk obtained from cattle? I can’t imagine how one would milk an elephant lol

@nuren I agree that wild elephants are best left wild.

Incrível o comportamento destes animais...Como respeitam e sabem quando devem ir beber o leite esperando pela sua vez, que belo exemplo nos dão a nós humanos não é? Devíamos ter mais respeito por eles!!!!
They're so civil. Why can't humans be like that
Cause those humans are vegans
Because humans are stupid. They're driven to war, sex, religion and violence. They will murder each other for no reason than their own entertainment!
Ed Regis you should leave society and go all monk with your god. It will be better for everyone that way.
Elephants are giants with big hearts

It will never be that way even if everyone enjoys the video. There are always “dislike bots” patrolling new videos so that they can dislike them
