Use Cubase to my mixing for all the sweet extras beats instruments midi loops etc. You don't get that with this I use it for mastering though much easier. However, the later versions don't seem any better just more complicated. If only Cubase didnt have shit for customer service.

Thank you very much for sharing this video. It helps me a lot in mastering. I have a question that whenever I apply the compression effect, the sound is waving. Its not stable where it is going high and low volume...
It could be that you need to play with the threshold setting on the compressor. If it's set to -21 try making the number higher like -15 (higher because it's negative) play with it a bit. The lower the number, the more drastic the compression will seem. The Audacity compressor is pretty sensitive.
I get back to you once I figured it out. I'm a newbie to mastering using audacity. I made my recordings and mixing in Ableton Live but I want to try the Audacity for mastering. Right now I'm working with the eq-ing. There's no live eq-ing I think so..

demonic sweaters i have a question for you. i tried this after i recorded on my track. i did everyting you said but my voice sounds really distorded in the final mix after i did what you said. could you help me with this pleas :)
sounds like a problem in the basic mix. you might just go back to the original pre-bounce mix and just lower the vocal line or remove any native distortion. just a guess
Another quick question. am using LMMS Music software on windows 7 and is finding it hard to add acapellas to my tracks in time with the music. Is there a way i can add acapella to tracks and in time with the music on Audacity? Can you help please?
do you mean when overdubbing in audacity? If so, I am actually in the process of making a tutorial for this as well.
Am not sure what you mean by over dubbing, but i mean i add a acapella to to my sampler and when i play it in time with my song or track they are both out of time. I was thinking is there a way to have my tune on Audacity and my acapella underneath and line up the 2 of them together? If so, when will you be making this Totorial?

Thanks mate...was a good video and helped. Can you also tell me how to add plugins to Audacity? And i have just downloaded Logic Pro x 8 files but dont know how to install it all. Also if you know how i can get that program again for free would be good. I did hear that i need to down load something to install it.
I could definitely do a video of how to install plugins in Audacity. I don't really know anything about Logic Pro though. I don't have a new enough Mac to run it, and most of my tutorials are Linux or Windows based.

when I use eq it's flat all the way around Is that okay
after using eq i still can't amplify
Using hard limiter just distorts and makes my audio unlistenable.
you most likely used it too heavily, or your recording has too much low end

For Windows I always loved CD Architect amzn.to/2z0mKG7 It allows you to set track starts and ends, crossfade songs to make a gapless cd, hide tracks etc... It also has plugin support and a number of other features.
Is it the samething to do it in protools?
+Nolove26 no, Pro Tools is a completely different program, and is generally not geared towards mastering.
