Only saw Ferry once in Glasgow once. The only reason I went because Chris was playing . Similarly saw Eagles once . Only reason I went was Joe Walsh was playing . Both of them worth the entry fee
I have been performing this song both solo and with bands for maybe 30 years. Bryan is nearly as good as me on this song. In 1964 I starte dat Newcastle University the same day as Bryan. I studied engineering and he 'fine art'. I was performing solo gigs at the uni folk club and some guys asked me to front a student band. I turned them down due to study demands. They asked Bryan instead.
I used to live next door to someone whose uncle’s best man’s nephew ended up marrying a girl whose grandparents lived next door to George Best. George didn’t live there at the time, but still… !!!
Sorry, but I think the guitar is one of the things totally off on this version. The best version that I know of is the one from 2011 in Montreaux, also much better saxophone solos and background vocals on that one...
I like Bryan Ferry, but I just don’t see the point of performing a Neil Young song if you can’t make it sound anywhere near as good as the original (which was an absolute classic.)
@@chrisreimer2676 if only being in a band can qualifies someone to comment,…as it happens, I played triangle & tambourine in the school band for 2 years runnng.
@@chrisreimer2676 Yep, & I was pretty good too. Seriously though, can’t you see how idiotic it is to suggest that someone needs to be in a band to know good music when they hear it?
What a legend! Smooth voice; ages like fine wine. Love Bryan Ferry! And here he is entertaining us in the midst of cultural chaos.
Chris Spedding is brilliant guitar playing
cheers to the great Chris Spedding.....i wish i was there....hope to catch them in Spain or Portugal. Thanks for the upload
Manuel Fonseca glad you enjoyed the video not to be missed👍
This is great, thanks for this.
Saw them in Newcastle, was blown away. Iconic song and they nailed it.
Still playing R'n'R are we??
Absolutely flabbergasting, now please whistle That Song for us..
Again.
(Didn't mean to hurt you)..

Thanks for the post! Bryan Ferry is such a cool classy singer with a great band!
Couldn't agree more!
❤❤this song sung by Bryan Ferry and the music.❤❤
The Leicester concert was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw this tour in Winnipeg phone reading no thank you wait for the release of real recording was an amazing show.
Sublime, como ha evolucionado a través de los muchos años. Le admiro y respeto Encantada Bryan Ferry. 🎉🎉🎉🎉😢😢❤❤❤❤
Wonderful singer 😊
Outstanding guitar work !!!

Was there cracking night
Espetacular
Spedding is superb but, oh, poor Bryan, voice has completely gone, reduced to a whisper.
I like Roxy Music but Neil’s version is so much better.
Erfahrung ist eine Tugend
Indeed...
No where near as good as the version with Oliver and Jorja playing 😢
That looks like Jorja
weak everything.
It really doesn't do it for me, it's a guitar track. Compared to Neil' it's pants.
Its a shame his voice has gone .
It hasn't, he's just aged.
It happens to those who don't join The 27 Club..

It's his version so what? You ever been in a band ?

For the record, his recorded version is much better. He’s letting the backup singers do most of the work here.
This variant is very weak!
