As I was helplessly trying to find a proper ukulele video to play this song for a friend, I came across yours and was AMAZED at how effortlessly you played. You inspire me, don't ever stop!!

For those of you that get confused with the plucking bit around the 3 minutes mark, from what I can see it is just this:
    Open A string,
    First finger on first fret,
Middle finger on the second fret. Hope this helped y'all.

A cool trick for the G to G7 transition is to place your fingers like you would for a G7 and then use your pinky to form the G a lot less movement.

I am probably way less than a beginner, so this is just beyond my reach, but I love it and will definitely work on this after learning an easier version. I really appreciated the explanation, and I found it generally helpful. Thanks, and I will catch up to this soon I hope. Definitely going to check out your website.

+seorsa10 Thanks man, a ton of stuff over there for free for you to learn, you will really dig it. As far as this being a little advanced, just take it super slow, and try to keep time. You will get it a lot faster than you think, the master has failed more times than the beginner has tried. Slow and steady truly does win this race!

Lauren Hansen you can figure out the chords from the fingerpicking tab in the corner. basically you strum or pick the string whenever there is a number (even 0) and if its a different number, then thats the fret you put your finger on

+SchirileeCallista Fantastic how many people are coming together to play music in the face of the awful acts of terror. One of the artist from Charlie said it best, something along the lines of drink, eat, play music, share, that is what Paris is all about. Thanks for making the music happen!

When playing the verse around 4:13 or so you skip an open C after the F chord. Is that on purpose? It doesn't mention it, but it throws off my timing while playing along.

Hi there this is sooo useful but I wish that you could play the whole song from the beginning to the end. I am playing along as your instruction but still can not put everything together especially with the lyrics on. It is so easy to find other tutorials where they instruct then play the whole song BUT they play in different styles and I prefer yours. I think yours is the best way. Please please please can you record your playing the song? Thank you so so much. I even play the original song so many times but it is piano so it is hard for me to tell and of course I am a beginner like super beginner. Please help!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!1

+Dietmars Promis - Interviews mit MacherInnen Thanks for the feedback, all of it is good. The information at the beginning is information that I feel is important to the song to lay out the learning plan, give some background information to the song, and explain who we are and what we do. All of it I think is important information, but I totally understand the learner that is just there to learn the song and rock it out doesn't need to know about tenthumbs.com, or what we do, and I respect, understand and appreciate that. That is why in our songs in the description below on the video on youtube we include the times each piece of the song that we teach, so you can just go to the description find the part you want to learn, for example "verse" or "riff" and click the time and it will take you to that part of the song to make your learning experience faster and more to the point. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
