- Hundreds of motorcycle riders took part Saturday in the "Ride for Meadow" to support efforts to build a memorial park for Meadow Pollack who was killed in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
She spent her final moments trying to protect someone else, that's a true hero

Mr. Pollack, I came back here years later, to say I have not forgotten. Meadow was such a strong hero, a beautiful soul… trying to save another life that day. No one from MSDHS will be forgotten. 🙏🏻 With every school year, NOTHING has changed. After the Oxford High School tragedy, I received an email from my child’s school, stating they were making changes so the children would be safe. The next email I received was in regards to the 2.8 million dollar changes… a new gym, new floors throughout the school, new playground equipment and new offices for staff. Bulletproof glass, safe rooms, entry ways with metal detectors or guards- none of that was on the list. I’m now homeschooling my child and taking away the entire school experience, so I can be sure he is safe. Please, tell me … how can we change things? You inspired me years ago, and I need your inspiration now. Much love to you and your family.
