All modern minivans are sleepers from the factory now. At least against kids in their stock cars that they THINK are fast! I love making high schoolers look stupid in their shit box when I beat them in a Grand Caravan loaded with kids! Minivans now have more horsepower than sports cars in the 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's. Now If only Chrysler would wake up and build a hellcat Pacifica. Sells would be thru the roof. Be able to own a hellcat that maybe the gangbangers and drug dealers don't flock to!
You should look into redoing the dash completely, to get rid of the meat slicer aluminum plate you added (could chop you in two halves in the event of a crash). Also you could reclaim the lost space in the front doors. sleeper dash is also cool, stay safe!

I'm argue the drive to/from the track is more dangerous than what happens on track. I can't stand the visual impairment a helmet provides. If my body is torn up by an accident, take my head too! I don't want to live the rest of my years as a vegetable.
Honestly though, it's probably less likely to come off if there's room for the wind to go through. When they secure it, then it'll have to be super strong.
Full cage so you can actually use the seatbelts, or a harness, would definitely be a #1 upgrade to make. A cheap wondow tint would help disguise the cage and if it's poorly done, even emphasis the "clapped out stocker" look. Anything goes wrong, as it is, and youré going to be in for an expensive, and painful, hospital stay.
A good cage will make this sleeper a penultimate build. As you build the cage be sure to put extra tabs for go pro cameras as the filming of sleeper launches for a new YT channeler
Definitely make the body chassis bond more rigid and cage it. It deserves a Macco paint job at least. Needs a smaller high end drag wheel setup that fits a stock hubcap for that ultimate sleeper vibe.
I think you should fill in the grille to lessen the drag/ turbulence also secure the metal sheet that makes up the dash, something else that could make it quicker is giving it a fully smooth underbelly to really make it aerodynamic
Casual 9 on the street in a van is mental... stay safe with this thing. I see lots of easy aero stuff that could be done, I'm sure you'll get there. (blocking off front air intakes being a pretty obvious one with all that air coming into the cabin, roof rack delete, filling in any air gaps, etc). Curious what direction this thing is gonna go.

This is absolutely one of the coolest and best builds we have seen in a long time. We are not huge EV fans but you pulled this off and made something badass. The fitment and the struggles you went through to make this happen were very cool to see. We would love to get a ride in the mini-van one day!
When you bought the Tesla Plaid, I was like "Dude, what?" When you chopped the back of the Tesla Plaid, I was like "Dude, what?" When you set the time record for all Tesla Plaids, I was like "DUDE, What!?" When you stuck the Tesla Plaid in an Odyssey, I was like "Dude, Yes."
I think if you made a blanking plate behind the grille that would help with the dash flapping as well, you don't want air going in the front where it wouldn't on the plaid, it'll cause more turbulence
Idk. With as far back as they've had to move the front row I don't think they have enough room. Especially with adding crossbars for harnesses and whatnot.

I don't even want to think about what happened to the van body if you got in bad wreck.. if it's bad enough I'm telling you now it's going to want to separate unless you got a better way to hold it down since I last saw it... I just don't want to see something so fun turn out badly when it doesn't have to with a few more hours of work

it's pretty difficult to flip a tesla, they are so heavy and the center of gravity is so low you basically have to go sideways down a steep hill and hit a curb really fast, even then the wheels will probably just break off.
Gotta get some spray foam to seal up some of those large voids where the wind is getting in, also spray foam is pretty light, also gotta get that aluminum sheet wrapped flat black and mounted properly. This build has been so much fun to watch, keep it up boys!

The biggest problem of EV perception is the form factor of most of the stock ones, boring sedans and suvs that look weird. The moment swaps in to old school cars are more common then we will see how much fun this things are, can´t beat instant torque and traction😅

This vehicle is clearly, obviously, certainly a full Tesla vehicle, chassis, frame with some portions removed, gutted, then the body is cut to accommodate the Honda Odyssey body as a shell, which is attached. => Thus, also not as Kyle stated as a Honda Odyssey with a Tesla drive train either. This compares completely with the truck which was used to participate in Sick, RMRW HRDW, drag & drive events which is a Chevrolet Silverado full chassis with the grandfather's 1938 [or so] International Harvester body'swap', attached. They drive train was also modified, thus not the original Silverado either; so not completely comparable since this still retains the complete drive train, etc of the Plaid Model S including the complete chassis, batteries, sensors, computer control, suspension, braking system, heating, cooling, A/C, etc.

Super sick…the speed just looks insane coming from an old odyssey. I feel like it deserves a proper paint job and a nice set of lights. Would be super cool to have someone custom make a set of “stock” odyssey wheels in a larger and wider size. Maybe finish out the interior while you’re at it to make it a complete build; and as others have said a cage is probably warranted.
Dude, people don't know about the inlet pipe! titanium is baller and is gonna sound amazing. Having a hard material for your turbo inlet makes ALL the best noises.
It is insanely fast! I had to keep rewinding the drag runs because it was over with too fast. Hope you guys do something with the paintwork. It deserves something a bit nicer but can still look like a standard minivan. Awesome videos guys.

You could seal the grill on the front from the inside and that would stop the wind from blowing up the dash.

Too be frank, all of their cars are deathtraps above about 45mph unless they're caged, and caged cars are only safe on the track

Super sick…the speed just looks insane coming from an old odyssey. I feel like it deserves a proper paint job and a nice set of lights. Would be super cool to have someone custom make a set of “stock” odyssey wheels in a larger and wider size. Maybe finish out the interior while you’re at it to make it a complete build; and as others have said a cage is probably warranted.

Dude, people don't know about the inlet pipe! titanium is baller and is gonna sound amazing. Having a hard material for your turbo inlet makes ALL the best noises.
