- Just Like Brand Used. Working on my 2006 Chrysler Sebring GTC. The top won't go up very good. Thank you for this video. I recently bought a 2005 Chrysler Sebring GRC and I put the top down without issues, but the top wouldn't come back up. Had to do it manually. I also have a leak on passenger side for hydraulic fluid, so expect im having the same problem whereby the cylinders need replacing. Videos like this will save so much money as I can follow along and DIY.
I am going to be doing a video coming up soon on how to replace the cylinder that I have leaking

I have a 2005 sebring the top wont close all the way. I filled to motor with dexcon 111...took the sides off. Noticed passenger side cylinder is leaking. Will replace both hopefully that's the problem 😅
This video was EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you so much. My top was stuck in the open position so we were very limited on where and when we could drive it. This video showed me how to get the seats out to get to the problem and diagnose it correctly. And I was able to disconnect the lines and empty the fluid so I could close it manually while I wait for the new cylinder to arrive. So we can drive the car now. Again, thank you! (Did you make a video on actually replacing the new cylinder, which you were ordering as well? I will need to do that next week.)

Really appreciate this. My top stop halfway. Gonna try and top it off and see if there is any leaks. If there’s non I’m topping it off with hydraulic fluid.

My Sebring won't open or close. No grumbling sign. I noticed a electric control on back window is off. Can I just glue it back on. It doesn't even make a sound when trying to close or open.
I am not sure. I'm getting ready to do a second video and install the new cylinder on mine and I will look at the wiring at that point and see if the Window Control has to be intact to make the circuit complete but as of right now I cannot tell you whether it is yes or no
Mine makes a sound when I hit my switch but nothing happens just been doing it manually lol

Not sure on the name I ordered it through O'Reilly's Auto Parts. I wish now I had replaced both because the driver side is starting to make that noise now still working but you can tell it's going to do the same thing as the passenger side did so I would recommend replacing both of them at the same time
my right side of the top doesnt close all the so when i try to latch i have to pull downwards,but even latched the top wiggles because the right doesnt seal properly on the windshield.what could it be?

Top opening and closing is not reliable. Does the resting slot for luggage rack in trunk have a switch involved in top mechanism? Top may stop halfway going down or up.
It's too bad its operation isn't reliable...2008 sebring very nice car to drive
I don't know about any switches other than the limit switch at the pump, which is mounted behind the rear seat.
The top on mine won't go down but will come up, replaced the motor but still the same thing, what can it be?
If the top won't go down make sure that the pump is actually pumping fluid to the Pistons in the down position you could have a relay on the pump motor not working
@@RCindustry Thank You, did rig up a direct connection with a battery and cables to see if it was the new pump but it works great going up and down that way so i guess next is to order a relay. Thanks again😀

Sounds like your lift cylinders are bad
What type and number of oil is used in the pump?
I have not been able to find out exactly what Chrysler recommends

When you make the top go up and down it sounds like one of those rhinos.
I know, that's funny. I think it's because it has all that air in the system cuz it's not doing it now

I just bought mine and one of the sides works decently but is not the best and one side just doesn't work at all and Idk if the pump needs replacing or what
If one sides working then the pump is working. You probably just have a bad lift cylinder my recommendation would be to replace both of them at the same time
@@RCindustry Im taking it to the shop today and hopefully they will give me a reasonable fix
