I had a really fun idea for a ren fair costume… so basically it’s this basic forest elf outfit but with elements taken from a moth cuz why not? These elements include: the fuzzy antennas, that brownish fur and (my favorite) a split cape with wing designs

I don’t know if it would be possible, but maybe you could get a hat pin, like an Edwardian hat pin. You put some of your hair in a bun inside the cone and then stick the hairpin through the cone where the bun is, and it’ll help the hat stay secure
Damn I wish they had these kind of things in my country, I mean we have like medieval festivals but that stuff is really ONLY for medieval stuff so you sadly can’t show up with like fairy wings or a mushroom hat

I'm going to my local ren faire next month (this year I've got a friend coming with me too) and it is continually the best. I have a very purple themed costume and it gives off witch vibes, which I quite enjoy :D also the skirt has really deep pockets and I have a dagger for it which is great.

OMG I WENT TO THIS ONE!!! IT WAS AWESOME!! I went on a school field trip so we quite literally stayed there from open to basically close and we had pretty much seen everything by 3 o'clock and we still had 3 hours to go so one of my friends and I had hourly jousting with empty water bottles. One of the times we did this this kid came over. I had seen him earlier when the pirates fought the king. I was dressed as a pirate and the kid had said he wanted to kill the pirates. But once he had seen me and my friend jousting he changed his mind and started rooting for me until his mom decided it was time to go. He gave me a big hug and ran away. First and best time at a ren fair

Whenever I go to a ren fair, I always bring my Irish whistle or flute! Then I can play a bunch of folk songs, it's always a lot of fun

Take a hat pin when cosplaying/dressing up outdoors! It’s a life saver and can even add more to the outfit with its design! Pretty AND practical

For the hat you can either do the string method or headband either way it will stay on
