- Last month Laragh sadly suffered an injury out hunting which resulted in a visit to the vets. At the time the vet was unable to diagnose the injury as the leg was too swollen, so I had to wait for the swelling to subside before having the leg scanned. After a few days the swelling went down and I was able to successfully have the scan and find out the prognosis...
Bonnie on the other hand had been unfortunate to be experiencing some dental issues, which resulted in a day at the vets for her too!

So sorry for all the vet bills! I know the feeling. But glad that both Laragh and Bonnie are recovering. Ember sure loves that bit--what a massive improvement! He looks like an entirely new horse. He really hated the old one for sure--so many TBs have low palates and that's a vital consideration when bitting. GOOD LUCK at your first event of the season!
Ember looks so much happier in his new bit and bridle. Im looking forward to seeing you both out again. He is developing into a confident and lovely boy. Lycy you have done such a beautiful job with bringing him on and not rushing him. I hope laragh heals and enjoys her holiday with zac. And beautiful lil bonnie with her enormous dodgy tooth. I bet she wont be missing that! I hope the vet bills stop piling up now!!!! Xxxx
The tooth issue is quite a roller coaster my daughters Boerped (a South African breed) had exactly the same problem. He turns 19 this year and has not had a problem since the extraction. My equine dentist just keeps the growth in check as the upper tooth has nothing to grind against. But it is manageable and he is happy.
He's showing really good form now, big improvement.
Pony teeth are so interesting!!!! Im happy Bonnie and Laragh are well. hopefully Laragh will make a full recovery throughout summer. Ember looks amazing by the Lucy and i cant wait to watch your new show coming out!!!! xxxxx

Aww poor little bonnie ❤ glad that horrid tooth is out now and omg yes that tooth is huge 😮. Bless Larah and wishing a good recovery 🙏 there is absolutely plenty more miles left in her tank and so much you can do with her other than jumping! She would be fab on fun/sponsored rides lol. Ember is just looking fabulous and coming together so nicely!! That bit has worked wonders for him, looking much more relaxed and working freely. Zack is just adorable and glad he has had a fab season, he will enjoy some holiday time. I will say I've been using GS equestrian for years! My absolute place to go for everything, and there base layers and riding tights are the best!. I am very jealous of that rug lol and numnah, I want them! Lol. Take care until next time ❤

So glad everything is going well and both invalides recovering nicely , Bonny is so pretty, shocked about the breeding mistakes, thought it only happened in the dog world

That bridle looks like its fitting him so much better! He looks a lot more comfortable in that bit too
My mare pulled a check ligament. Same boundless energy and go as laragh. It’s a nightmare. She did come back into work but never at the level she was but then went onto produce two super foals. Then lived out a splendid retirement with my parents. Bless her.

Dang you've had a lot of vet visits! I'm very happy to see Lauragh's progress, I was worried about her. And cute little Bon... I remember what a spicy little nugget she was when you got her lol. That tooth tho, phew! My husband is a people dentist, I've heard scary stories about how badly an infection can go. I'm so relieved and happy that the tooth was removed without issue. Also, a little rider for her? Omg I might die of cuteness! I'm very excited about Embers event next weekend. Can't wait for the video!!! 😊😊

Poor little Bonnie she’s been through it I can’t believe the size of her tooth been she’s a tiny little thing. Glad it’s done and she’s recovered well Lucy. Equine 1, at some point I stopped watching Ember and started watching your hands and Lucy Lu!!! Nice positioning! I'm so proud 🥹🥰😄😜 Equine 2, mmmm I love Laragh pain in the shoulders tho she be 🤣 but thinking back to that infamous hunt, she did really well as less jumping, better um behaved whipper's mount 😁🫶 Now, Equine 3, dost thee not recall the pony show? 🤔😝 She does need a bridle and a harness for a buggy 😉🤣❤️ and then there's the thumbnail which I mistook for Banksy but with a wild white horse?? Oh wow there has been lots of drama and expense 😮. Hopefully all over now and Laragh will heal . The tooth info was fascinating - never seen a horse tooth before 👍
Well done for raising awareness of the small head issue. It can also cause real problems with bitting etc too

I had a micklem for my sport horse and she didn’t like it. I never tried it on my own TB, though my partner said sometimes the ones in training use them if a regular bridle doesn’t suit them while exercising.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but when you said that you might still be able to go hunting, does that mean you can go hunting without having to jump? I'm from Germany and hunting is not as popular here so I have all my knowledge from the internet lol. However, as an anxious rider with very ambitious dreams I always though hunting was a loooong way off as it involves jumping. I know that sometimes you can go around fences but if it were actually true that you can go without jumping anything that would be so amazing? Hope someone can answer

Your bank account can't have been awfully happy lately! I presume that you have your horses insured so that you don't get massive bills but there are fees to pay even so! I've been horrified when I've seen some videos recently of arabs with horrendous dished faces so much so, they look deformed to be honest, and I've wondered how that must affect the way they eat, their teeth and the problems that can occur. It is so unfair to the animal to subject them to this. As you say it's likened to people breeding pugs and pekinese or bulldogs who cannot breathe properly.
Quite agree, show arabs these days look horrendous.
