Without giving spoilers, the best way to describe what you will see in the trilogy before GOW 2018 is like this: you will watch Kratos go from a dark anti-hero to a full-fledged villain.
And after all this... Seeing Athena like for the first time on that damn boat next to him... Dear Lord. Young Kratos is truly only out to serve his own purposes. This was what he was lamenting about when he confronted himself in Valhalla . That version of him was a slave to the gods while at the same time he still chose to crush everyone around him with little to no mercy because he just didn’t care after he lost his family. That’s why it is such a big deal when you even see Kratos opening up in the first 2018 game because if you know all the horrible things he did it’s just crazy that he would even have kids or wife again. Meanwhile the whole time Kratos is skin is white because it’s literally the ashes of his dead family… the guy really goes through a lot and though out the whole process he never gives a dam about humanity. The only thing that will matter to him is vengeance against all of the gods.
