Tensioner assembly

This is a very basic clip on re assembling a tensioner in an antique sewing machine.
Here we used a Singer VS 2. Most tensioner are basically the same.
Mainly a few different colors or trendy design changes.
The take up spring is important to get right before you re assemble.
It is worth the extra time getting that take up spring right.
The one difference is some take up springs, spring up and some down.
That really is not a major.
Just do not believe all take up springs go the same as this one.
Do not start until you have a clear picture in your mind.
