Hi, greetings again from Toronto. Checking out your backlog. I’ve tried several Paul Tremblay books and I can’t get into his writing style or find interest in his characters. I bought The Entity at a thrift shop over 30 years ago and it still sits on my bookshelf unread! I will get to it… I read Frankenstein way back in my ‘20s and enjoyed it, but I found it a bit hard going. Something Wicked This Way Comes is a book I’ve read only recently, even though I’m a big Bradbury fan. And Whalefall is in my TBR notebook. Thanks for the list! Have a great day.
@andrewcrow1031 Hi again, Andrew! Thanks so much for watching again! I've found Tremblay to be a one hit wonder for me. I LOVED A Head Full of Ghosts, but everything else has fallen flat in comparison. I don't mind an ambiguous ending, but at some point, it starts to feel like lazy writing. I'd rather you give me a bad ending I can dissect rather than nothing at all. I hope you enjoy The Entity more than I did. Like I said, the writing isn't bad, I just wanted something different. I'm sure you'll love Whalefall!
it's ok Bluey, good recommendations take time and we appreciate you're not just shoving content. It is refreshing to see someone being honest about their suggestions. Happy new year!
@Anotherusernameistaken Ha, I've always felt more akin to Bandit, but I appreciate it! I'm very serious about my recommendations and my channel overall, so I really do try to put my all into a video. Happy New Year!
Great video, I recall a lot of them from your previous videos and had even bought whalefall because of your review, am yet to read it though. I had initially decided to set myself goals of reading over the years and it was really great when last year I read 53 books that year but then this year I only managed to read 30 books and that was really sad and took the enjoyment away from it even though 30 is still a decent number. I think I'll ease up on trying to set reading goals this year (2025) I hope you had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year :) I look forward to this year of videos from you :)
@GrimSquirrel666 That's so cool! I'm so happy to hear you bought something based on my opinion! I had set goals for twenty-four books the last three years, but when I didn't even come close, I was pretty hard on myself, and it just took the joy of reading away. So, I decided one book a month was something I could absolutely do, even in times when I'm taking a break. Happy New Year, Grim! I hope your holidays were just as great and here's to another year of videos!
@TheJericho1123 Any recommendations for a starting point in Agatha's work? I tried one book one time, but it didn't really click with me, and I stopped before I got too far.

UA-cam didn’t notify me of a 56:00 minute Stephen video!?! 🤬 get to watch before bed now!
@mikeanderson623 The fiends! Hope you enjoy, Mike!

reasonable goal, I`ve been limiting myself to 1 a month for a few years now, I just started Murder in Venice by Agatha Christie.

@@littlelibraryofhorrors it's her first book that I have, I mostly hunt at thrift stores, so I`m lucky if I find something worthwhile.
