Something you don’t mention in this video but should have: Yes, you can make a Rogue who is good at both archery and knife-fighting or a Warrior who is good at both sword & board and two-handed weapons, but you really shouldn’t. You can’t swap weapons in the middle of a fight and you’ll eventually have a party of three other characters to cover for your weaknesses. This game strongly encourages making highly specialized characters. You can play a pure archer who never gets involved with melee because you can have one to three of your companions be melee fighters and keep enemies away from you.

Rogue is the most versatile base class as you get access to both ranged and melee. Highly mobile with spike damage and hit-and-run tactics. Can't go wrong with stabby or archer because you can respec later. Gets ludicrously OP if you specialize in artificer and have another rogue in the party. *May melt your GPU.* Other specializations are slightly less OP but equally as fun. Warrior is easiest to play and a great main or off tank. Doesn't matter if you get two hand or sword and board because you can respec later. Has limited support that affects the whole party and shouts at stuff to protect squishies. Specializations range from pseudo-Paladin, an even tankier tank, or being *literally too angry to die.* May not kill things as fast as the Rogue, but has a good balance of damage and survivability. Mage is going to be a bad time starting out but pays off once you get deeper in the skill tree. Decent support and amazing crowd control. Magic isn't as flashy as Dragon's Dogma but the sound design makes everything sound satisfyingly "crispy." Two specializations equally get the job done while Knight Enchanter *literally breaks the game.* Spec into shield for god mode and lighting for good synergy and more buttons to press. Has a multi-res that would make Season 1 Mercy from Overwatch blush. No matter what class you start with, you're going to wish you started with the other two. Sword and shield warrior I love it u can be battle master for DPS vanguard for tank but if u truly wanna all around fighter go with a rogue they can do range they can get in ur face they can set traps etc etc

Would probably start out as a dual wield rogue but as I get more used to the game, might start fresh.
Im a awesome archer but i also have a pretty beast mage too so yeah both of them are good
I tried playing a rogue archer, but I just didn’t like how slow the dps was. It didn’t feel like I was doing as much damage as I could. If I’m doing ranged I always go with a necromancer mage.
2020 now and I'm still upset that arcane warrior isnt really somthing in this game origins is by far the best game in the series but this is 100% 2nd place
Glad to here it i just picked this game up for 5$ in the Playstation app store
I never got to play it, then I forgot about it. Then Playstation store has some crazy good deals right now because of the whole covid 19 thing
I was 5$.........Sigh me up!
It also came with every single DLC
Chris Schelstraete same here lol just about to start
@@jrad410 Hey no joke. Yes there are some quest that seem teedess, but they are all different from one another at least 12 hours in and when I start I find it really hard to put it down.
I can see myself playing another go right after finishing it. Its a really long game from what I've heard. Hope you enjoy yourself.
@@jrad410 bro if you enjoy RPG games with a bit of strategy on casual difficulty or alot of strategy on nightmare difficulty origins is by far one of if not the best rpg on the market IMO
i always go the stealthy archer type gonna switch it up to a two handed smasher :D
What do you personally think is the best class
well I wanted to be a qunari brute, but that didnt work out. So here I am a female elven mage specilizing in winter magic (and soon necromany)
I'm new to this game. Between rogue or mage ? which one is the best...
So where does the enchanter knight /mage specialisation come into it?
Sam Deacon Skyhold
ok now do a video on the class stuff that actually matters, like the main gameplay not the spergy skill stuff
games 2 years old man.
just wondering but is there like a cap in terms of skills? like in skyrim i got every perk (from exploits). i want to be able to be a magic god. also is it like witcher where you cam only set a certain amount of skills? never played the DA series but i want to play pc mmorpgs-like games on console. also offline.
Hey what's the name of the background music
is it possible to be dualwielding warior ??
Unfortunately no unless you go dual wield rogue
I feel like the only person that is going to be sword and shield but I might just go 2h
I know this video is old as shit. But for duel weild rogue, is it ONLY daggers as far as melee weapons? No duel swords or hatchets or anything like that? Daggers only?
Is there a Game mod or hack that allows for full Worrier/ mage class that enable all abilities of both classes ? Also Rogue/ mage class ?
Warrior all the way...woohoo
Jesse James same here in DA and real life 😆
so basically no matter what class you can use a bow still? i usually pick mage or archer... tough choice
Opinions about rougue archer?
Kinda the most booring one you just stand still and hold the attack button
I started with Elf Mage.
Female Elven Mage (Knight Enchanter)
Which one is better-dual rogue or weapon and shield warrior
I will use a mage and I'm thinking of getting a qunari . Is it smart or should i get another race
These classes are kind of bad. I really want to like this game but these skill trees are cookie cutter. And i assume that all of the other companions in the game are tied to these same skills? No unique classes to be found?
im having a hard time deciding on a class. was a dual wield rogue in DAO, a 2 handed weapon warrior in DA2. Was thinking of going mage for Inq but not sure yet. Ive played the opening sequence of the game two or three times now with different characters. Someone help me decide!
same thing :D but i kinda forgot to do the tut with any class because i was pretty sucked into the gameflow. now iam a lvl 9 2h warrior and iam fine with the choice. even tho i think the classdesign from the mage class is soooo freaking cool so i decided i have to play the game 2 times :p
doing that again and again.. i need help also
keep trying and experimenting, have a think about how it will affect the story and the romances, and what makes the most sense and feels the most natural to you
Sword and shield warrior I love it u can be battle master for DPS vanguard for tank but if u truly wanna all around fighter go with a rogue they can do range they can get in ur face they can set traps etc etc
I wanna try the Qunari (? not sure I spelled it right), but I feel that being a human would be better for rogue. I'm new to DA, I might just make all 3 characters and feel them out cause I'm a mage right now, but I don't know if I enjoy it as much as being in the front. I just want to do damage lol.
Can the Qunari wear helmets?
the female qunari tend to be skinnier, if that works for you
I just went with a Dwarf dual wielding rogue and I loved it, so I just roll with that. Still got another 40 hours to put into the game I think lmao.
Fumanchu Jesus late but no, they wear face paint
