Ughhh the art and design of those DVDs are so cool and creative. This is one of the reasons why physical media is superior. Not only that but the special features you get like behind the scenes, deleted scenes, and probably my favorite feature from most DVDS, bloopers. Thanks for another physical media video!
Your copy of Jaws reminds me of my Criterion set for the Showa Era Godzilla series. It's very big and opens like a book with the pages attached and there's individual articles and artwork for each film and then the back has every disc in these pockets. It's so cool.
I love when Criterion do fun stuff with their releases (like the Dazed and Confused disc). My favorites for this are the single disc edition of Godzilla (1954), which folds out into a pop-up book style image of Godzilla, the Lone Wolf and Cub set which has a fold out schematic in a hidden compartment in the box.
For me jaws is the perfect film from the script score and direction and the main cast wow if it's on when I'm flicking through the channels I have to watch it
Great video and selections! I’m actually reading Dracula rn, too! I have that flip side of An American Werewolf in London poster framed! And that same edition of Midsommar, too! ✨
Yes!!! American Werewolf in London.. awesome edition. Are you thinking of hanging some of your posters? Ending note - The Ring is one of my all time favorite horror movies (The score!!!) Surreal atmosphere!
Those screeners are so cool. I'm definitely jealous of those. If your looking for other lists. Top steelbooks, most unusual artwork, best packaging, and favorite box sets. I hope the vacation is going well.
Amazing top 10! You got some serious gas in your stash! Lmao all those covers are fire! You only stock the best of the best of all movies! Love the trilogy box sets! All the artwork rocks! I also have that stars wars original trilogy on vhs with the same cover as you! I think you mean singles when you mentioned the sleeve of the screeners, like sleeves for 45 vinyl singles! So jealous that you got a connect to the academy to get those screeners! I can’t wait til you see battle royale! I first saw it in high school when I had to watch it for a book report about the hunger games! Battle Royale is basically the Japanese version of the hunger games and it’s way gorier and violent! Really cool of you to show us your top 10 favorites of your collection. I feel like I vibe with your movie taste and preferences, like sharing between Friends. Thank you for sharing! Hope you’re staying safe abroad
For some reason I had Battle Royale laying around for years before watching it - just like you - but I cant recommend it enough. Not just a crazy movie, just a phenomenal film.
Love all the Scooby Doo Original movies ..there's over 40 now . I just got Scooby doo and Crypto Too today to complete the entire original movies collection . So fun
Favorites in my collection: 1. Harry Potter complete DVD collection 2. Lord of the Rings: extended editions 3. The Social Network 4. Mean Girls (full screen) 5. Ultimate Matrix Collection 6. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo 7. Star Wars prequel trilogy 8. Apocalypse Now (dossier edition) 9. The Silence of the Lambs (special edition) 10. Pretty Little Liars complete series
My old VHS and dvd have fully fallen out of favor. I find the bad image quality distracting. It's blu-ray and 4K only for me now. Packaging be damned. If I find a higher format, the old one is immediately given away or sold.
I couldn't come up with a top 10 across DVD and BD. However, some of my favourites are - 2015 X-Files complete Blu Ray boxset (have customised to add S10, S11 and Lone Gunmen) Region 1 Lord of the Rings Extended DVD and 2016 Blu Ray sets (30 discs) Region 1 Nightmare on Elm Street DVD boxset from 1999 (better than the blu ray one from 2011) Ringu DVD boxset
Tombstone is such a great film I think it's Val kilmer best performance ever Even better than kiss kiss bang bang Saying that you can't fault any of the performers they all bought there A game
Cool list.. hmm I personally don't think the 2019 Child's Play should be lumped in with the rest only because it's not canon, but at the same time it's not that serious lol .. even though I'm in the middle with 2019, I'd honestly rather watch 2019 than the 1988 OG at this point, which is a wild take, but the OG has always been towards the bottom of my personal Child's Play rankings.. A deep dive on Dazed would be cool whether for your channel or just for yourself.. lots of cool and fascinating things about that film, but I won't nerd out and spoil the fun of doing the research lol..
@KylieRoseanne I wasn't trying to dog you at all. I was just saying there's a generational gap in terminology and you didn't grow up with that technology. The VCR is burned in our brains(I'm 41)

you could always do deep dives of your favourite non-horror on this channel.
now you should do a top 10 of your most hated physical media (ugly covers, difficult packaging, ect.)
Your copy of Jaws reminds me of my Criterion set for the Showa Era Godzilla series. It's very big and opens like a book with the pages attached and there's individual articles and artwork for each film and then the back has every disc in these pockets. It's so cool.

Im jealous of that santa clarita diet screener😭
You should do a top 10 horror movies list from the 1920s. A lot of Gothic of horror movies I'd think you'd like.

06:24 The blood wolf American werewolf poster is hanging on Jill’s door in Scream 4
Super excited for the Midsommar deep dive! 😃
The aesthetic of this collection is on another stratosphere 🤌🏾🤞🏾
Maybe Top 10 physical media that needs an upgrade or that has an upgrade that you wish to eventually get.
The exorcist has a great book edition like the jaws you showed. I'm lucky enough to have my copy signed by Linda blair.
I think that Dazed and Confused poster was designed/made by an pretty famous outsider artist although I can't remember who
Please release a video with your top (50/100/…) favorite horror movies!
Also, surprised that the alien Box set didn’t make the list
Looove when physical media gets THIS creative . I got similar items too . That Jurassic park is GORGEOUS
For some reason I had Battle Royale laying around for years before watching it - just like you - but I cant recommend it enough. Not just a crazy movie, just a phenomenal film.
Always interesting ❤ Thanks 🙏
Love all the Scooby Doo Original movies ..there's over 40 now . I just got Scooby doo and Crypto Too today to complete the entire original movies collection . So fun
Watch battle Royale 1 right now! It's amazing. Avoid part 2 like the plague
I watched midsommar while tripping and I swear I almost died
Battle Royale is great, highly recommend watching it
0:00 Hmm, more like asking a mother to choose her ten favorite children? Maybe not all of them are hers, but some of them should be, right?
The Arrow Video stuff always seems to look awesome. Great company.

My favorite piece of physical media is a steel book of the original Texas chainsaw massacre that I got for 3 dollars at the thrift store.
My old VHS and dvd have fully fallen out of favor. I find the bad image quality distracting. It's blu-ray and 4K only for me now. Packaging be damned. If I find a higher format, the old one is immediately given away or sold.
Sometimes aesthetic > quality. Especially depending on the era of the film
Watching those old school chuck Norris VHS tapes are just golden, especially invasion USA.

Cool list.. hmm I personally don't think the 2019 Child's Play should be lumped in with the rest only because it's not canon, but at the same time it's not that serious lol .. even though I'm in the middle with 2019, I'd honestly rather watch 2019 than the 1988 OG at this point, which is a wild take, but the OG has always been towards the bottom of my personal Child's Play rankings..

You know someone who didn't grow up with vhs calls a VCR a vhs player
I still have all my original clamshell Disney tapes but at least you got to feel smart for a few hours
@KylieRoseanne I wasn't trying to dog you at all. I was just saying there's a generational gap in terminology and you didn't grow up with that technology. The VCR is burned in our brains(I'm 41)

Time seems to fly by as we get older but you look very young still
You won’t like battle royal it’s about kids killing kids

You haven’t watched Battle Royale 😮. You need to change that.
