Nia DaCosta the director of the Candyman remake is allegedly directing the horror remake of Sleeping with the Enemy. I love the movie but I know for modern audiences it might be too slow. I don’t think it’s slow paced, maybe the second act slows down a little but there’s a reason for that. I don’t think the studio was ready for a full on horror film (but they were ok with DV 🤷🏻♀️) On the Blu-ray behind the scenes Julia, Patrick & the director talk about the movie as if it were a horror film. The studio had them change things that’s why that second act can feel like it drags a bit because some of those scenes were added on later. Anyway it’s a good movie & although I love it I’m willing to give the remake a chance. 🤞🏽
Sleeping With The Enemy is one of my fave 90s movies. Will be totally stoked if Nia DeCosta is for real the director!! She's PERFECT for a horror remake of that!!
Great video 👍 Looks like you have an awful large amount of really great movies to watch. Hard to believe that you haven't seen many of you featured unboxing films. Most of them are really great movies.
i was OBSESSED with vampires suck as a kid. i watched anything vampire adjacent, i loved twilight, i thought it was the greatest thing ever made at age 10 or so.
Wolf Creek is brilliant and so id's the sequel. There are also 2 TV series of wolf creek. Also great. Met the lead actor at a convention here in England. He was in character while signing stuff lol.
i just recently had to buy the region 2 bluray release of the complete series of hannibal because it's been out of print for years and people are reselling their seasons for quite a lot of money. absolutely no regrets though, it's one of the few shows i own that i feel justifies the hd format (whereas most of my collection is older shows that just feel correct to watch on dvd, like xena).
Eastern Promises is part of the David Cronenberg/Viggo Mortenson cinematic universe haha Spirited Away is one of the best movies on this vlog. One of my fave Hayao Miyazaki movies. The No Face character is low-key horror. It's the black creature with the white mask. It's way more unsettling than you expect.
You got so much awesome stuff in this haul I'm loving all the content but love love the physical media stuff . I've been collecting ever since I was 6 years old
That magazine is awesome!!! Omg I was a magazine whore back in my day I was subscribed to so many magazines and would hoard them. My mom would throw them away and I'd feel like my life was over but soon I'd have stacks of them again. I used to love cutting out pics and making collages. Now I kinda want to look for old magazines and make some collages again like I did when I was a teen lol
Lots of great physical media there. The National Treasure two disc cover is beautiful. Vampires Suck, not a great film but it is one of my go to guilty pleasures of mine. I have duplicates of Wonder Woman (DVD and Blu-ray), Transformers: Age of Extinction (DVD and Blu-ray) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (three times - the Blu-ray, the single disc edition and the two disc edition). Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was a fun show. Love the Spiderverse movies and I can't wait for Beyond the Spiderverse. The Green Knight is one of my favorite films of the decade so far.
This was such a fun and chaotic unboxing video with such cool stuff! Love the vintage magazine and Fear Street shirts. Was not expecting the Chucky and Pennywise ducks but they are so cute. Hurricane popcorn gave me nostalgia since I live in Hawai'i and it's a pretty common local snack. But there was so many amazing stuff! Thanks so much for another awesome physical media haul!
Dang, that’s your most hype unboxing video ever. I got that same across the spider verse steelbook, twinz! Already watched sprit away from woman month but I’m a same boat as you like we never watch any of the studio ghibli movies I heard of it but never take the time to watch it. 🐉 Showing off the Disney/Pixar DVDs brings me nostalgic. 😊
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is a fantastic movie. Very interesting premise and unique artistic story i loved it. I would highly recommend it.
Also so cool that you got the Austin powers trilogy! I grew up on those and they’re the best live action Mike Myers films. The obvious first one being shrek. I’m glad you’re giving them a go cuz they’re kinda weird humor and leans on toilet humor but is essentially a love letter to James Bond films and the 60s hippie aesthetic. It’s groovy baby! Hahaha So many catchphrases! But I personally think the movies get better as they go. The first is the weakest imho but gets it all started, and who knows, maybe after you see them all, your ranking will differ from mine. Hope you enjoy!
Toast my tootsies? I’m looking around to fine them. 🤔 This is my second view. I’m trying to see what you get so I don’t duplicate them. It’s nice that you got some steel books too. Do you like the covers that I have supplied on ones I send you. Plus early on I viewed previous videos and sent some extras covers. Does Amazon ship to PO Boxes? You get orders so I think so. I could just send you more covers, I just know steel books can get scratches on it. Let me know if it’s ok to send you more. It’s not a problem, just wanted you to have a nice steel book shelve someday. Going to have to check out Poshmark now. I love that others send you great stuff. I’m not in competition with what I send. But I see some stuff that I thought of sending you and gee some wonderful person already sent you a few. Oh, Forbidden Planet, one of my favorites. I have a talking Robbie the Robot with a forbidden planet picture behind it. Oh, I forgot looks like you’re feeling better. But that depends on when you recorded this video. 👍😁 Old Country for Old Man. So good, Javier Bardem is like a Terminator in that movie. Jackie shirt 👚 👍 Spider-Man steel books, when do we get the third one? 🤔 Really nice Subscriber Mail unboxing. I know that mine box has been delivered and soon you’re going to visit your parents soon. Not all physical media this time. I know you will enjoy. 😉😁👍
Yeah, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Lost In Translation and Her are apparently sister movies. Lost In Translation is based on Sofia Coppola's relationship with her then husband Spike Jonze and Her is based on his relationship with Sofia Coppola. Her is a great and beautiful movie if you've never seen it. The Green Knight is a bit of a slow burn, but it's really good and beautifully visually shot. It takes two watches. I figured you would love the popcorn from Hawaii. It's a popular snack from Hawaii. My next subscriber mail, I can pack some more snacks from Hawaii if you like. Don't beat yourself up for not watching classic films it's ok. There's a lot of classics i haven't watched, but I need to catch up on so we're in the same boat😂. I figured those George A.Romero movies would help with your deep dives.
I also sent the Fear Street shirts but a note wasn't an option with them for some reason. Sorry they're if they're too big! You're so tall, I thought I should order larger just to be on the safe side but maybe I played it a lil too safe, whoops.Tbh the third installment is also my favorite one. I think most ppl rank the 1978 as their fave, which I get bc Sadie Sink, Chiara Aurelia was in the popular first season of Cruel Summer at the time, and it's a classic camp slasher, but I still feel like the third one had the strongest story and was overall more unique than the previous installments. Still love the whole trilogy though! Bummer the fandom is mostly dead now.
Nice haul! So many choice titles! I’ve been recently collecting some old vinyls and really loved getting back into it! So kismet! That national treasure cover is a national treasure! So shiny! And that magazine is older than me hahaha so badass! Can’t wait til night of the creeps drops on your Poshmark! Eastern promises was directed by David cronenberg but it’s not a horror film lol he did a pair of crime dramas starring Viggo mortensen. The other being A history of Violence. I don’t think you’ll be into them but I recommend giving them a shot. Magnolia was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Idk if you’ll be into this one either but it’s worth a watch for any cinephile worth their salt. Spinal tap is a spoof film, just letting you know before you go into it. And he directed boogie nights! I noticed a bunch of Jim Carrey movies on your haul and you’ve seen them on letteboxd now so I can’t wait to get into those in your recap this month! Thank you dark mistress for the great video! I hope you get a chance to watch the movies I sent you soon lol
Losing Horror Pack is a gift. All those exclusive titles are a waste of plastic. Curious to see how you respond to Sleeping with the Enemy. I’m not the biggest Julia Roberts fan, but that movie is a guilty pleasure of mine.
You're heading into your parents for Thanksgiving and Christmas? I know that there is something small from me at your PO Box now, but I'm hoping to put together and actual Yule package for you but don't want to miss when you're gonna be there. Just let me know. Also... I really enjoyed the Sabrina tv series. Super easy to binge.
I am a bit surprised that you haven't seen Spotless Mind, i thought it was so good when i was younger. but Jim Carrey turned out to be such a creepy asshole so I don't like watching his movies anymore
Austin Powers is good, so is Wayne's World, but my fav Mike Myers is So I Married An Axe Murderer. Highly recommend! Also, I miss magazines, over here in Australia we had a great one called Film Ink.
Love the haul Kylie, did u ever watch Blood Drive from Midnight GrindHouse? I watched that show years ago never missed an episode when gasoline was too expensive cars ran on human blood i feel it would be right up ur alley it was a gnarly show that didn't hold back at all have a great night my dear Cult Mother 🖤🎃🩸🩸
It’s a good day when Kylie uploads a physical media post
I can't wait to see your monthly recap video after you've watched Blue is the Warmest Color Kylie.
Night of the Creeps is a classic!
Nice Kylie 😊🐾💜👍
Spinal tap is hilarious!!! I ❤ it
I sent over that Film Threat magazine, stoked you dug it. my favorite movie & a solid ass article.
Spirited away is absolutely gorgeous. It’s such a beautiful movie. Definitely worth watching 😊
I love Sleeping with the enemy! Had no idea it was getting a remake
Nothing like sitting down with a coffee and watching a new video on a stormy day🎉
Nia DaCosta the director of the Candyman remake is allegedly directing the horror remake of Sleeping with the Enemy. I love the movie but I know for modern audiences it might be too slow. I love Jacob's Ladder. 5 years on watchlist?! Oh my! Lol

Great video 👍 Looks like you have an awful large amount of really great movies to watch. Hard to believe that you haven't seen many of you featured unboxing films. Most of them are really great movies.
This is Spinal Tap is a really funny movie. It's a classic.
Kill List is very good and filmed near me. The director has a new zombie style tv series out now called Generation Z. Really good.
i was OBSESSED with vampires suck as a kid. i watched anything vampire adjacent, i loved twilight, i thought it was the greatest thing ever made at age 10 or so.
I need a physical media haul of yours EVERY SINGLE DAY!
I’d be drowning if a hoard if I did that :/
@ I can’t find anything wrong with that lol
Wolf Creek is brilliant and so id's the sequel. There are also 2 TV series of wolf creek. Also great. Met the lead actor at a convention here in England. He was in character while signing stuff lol.

Eternal sunshine is a classic. Very enjoyable, I first watched it on dvd and like the movie so much I had to buy the Blu-ray.

Just picked up messengers on DVD last month On eBay along with Red Eye and Pulse 2006

Hi Kylie, I wish I was beautiful like you so I could get lots of free movies 😄
