So much peril this episode! Fortunately it turns out it was the other side in peril.

Yeah, my waterpump failed on me. On a saturday, during the summer. So i connected a temporary hose to the neighbours, until i could install a new pump a few days later.
It was worse when the boiler started to leak in the winter, with -10C outside....
Not funny to be a homeowner always.

As a fellow homeowner with a well... yes, I did know that the well pump can fail at any moment without any notice, haha. In our case, we bought a brand new house that was built on a lot where that had previously been a house, so the well was existing, and we knew that the pump was pretty old to begin with. So when our water just up and quit one day, we were pretty sure we knew what had happened. First thought was "did the circuit breaker for the pump trip?" and when we confirmed it hadn't, the second thought was "welp, guess we're getting a new pump..." Fortunately we have a good well guy, so we had it replaced by the next day.

I didn't immediately jump from the breaker being OK to it being a well pump, so it took me a lot of extra debugging steps to get there. I thought we had a wiring failure between the pump and the house and got worried for having to rewire everything.
