I've got some feedbacks and it seems that some people find it hard to understand this video clearly. I'll try to find a easier way to make people understand velocity, and upload a new updated tutorial then. (velocity is an advanced editing technique so it's not easy at first, it will take some time for me to find the right way to make it beginner-friendly.)
Extra tip: Mark the points on the clip that you want to sync with the beat points. It'll make it a lot easier to find where you want to sync and give you a visual cue to know that they are exactly lined up
You can make this even easier by finding the BPM of the song (online analyzers) you want to use then create a "Metronome" theres websites that let you create a MP3 of any BPM Metronome. Once you have your MP3 Metronome you just import it into your timeline then line it up with your song and it allows you to clearly see where every beat drop is and you can be more precise with your edits. This also helps a lot when you have a song that's hard to see the beat drops in the audio waves.
Another tip to help with your speed is pressing "M" on your keyboard places a marker. This way you dont have to keep moving your mouse and clicking the marker. Its much faster and will speed up your work flow.

What should you do if you've been working on an edit too much and the program keeps crashing? Should I get a new comp. Make a clip about everything that processes it better or what should I do. The longer I work on the edit, the longer it takes Davinci resolve to process all the effects and such.

you probably haven't bought redgaint plugins, so it won't show up. you need to purchase the plugins at the store then download. i had the same problem lol

So how does this work for a clip with audio? It desyncs audio when I retime and the only way I could fix it was by cutting the audio and expanding/contracting it to match the speed changes. Also can you still sync a clip if there’s more than one kill in it? It seems very hard to get everything retimed and still on beat
When I try to turn on optical flow, it doesn't do anything and I don't know why because all of my clips are selected. Do you know of a solution to this?
If you want to apply optical flow to all clips, you have to change it in project settings, if you select all clips then only the last clip you seleted will be changed
does velocity only work with certain clips? i tried following this toturial and using the only clip I have which is a hardscope of around 2-3 seconds but it dosent seem to fit. I noticed all your clips are quickscopes. could that be or is the reason why it dosent sync?

Make sure you followed the settings I showed in the beginning~
render you clips in place. you can always decompose them to to their original state if you are unhappy with something.

Actually, some of my clips aren't quickscope, but I edit it to make it looks like quickscope and fit the velocity

You have to delete audio or unlink it
