CLOCKWISE TO REDUCE TENSION, this video is incorrect! The label is correct!
You're correct!! I have HUANUO 13-32 Inch Dual Monitor Stand. Both the label and the symbols on the arm are incorrect. They state to turn counter clockwise too "+" increase the tension. It's wrong turning clockwise increased tension for me. The instructions on page 10 even have conflicting diagrams with it's self.
This needs to be the top comment…spent 20 mins like an idiot wondering why CCW wasn’t working lol. Thank you!!!!
Dude for me it literally just doesn’t move no matter how much I loosen it
My monitor is not straight and the area that needs to be tightened cannot be.
無理。実際こんな上手く行きません
それな、馬鹿みたいに力いれても無理
can’t even do that for mine cause it just came at the max height. it won’t go down for some reason, no matter which way i turn it
For anyone struggling to sort out the gas arm adjustment thinking it’s locking in place. I had the same problem was at it for ages trying to figure it out. You need to make sure you have the gas adjusted arm attached to the other arm and then put pressure down on the gas adjusted arm from the top side of it where your monitor bracket will be. It will not work if you’re trying to move the arm from the bottom side where the Allen key slot is. Hope this helps!
Nice, I struggled until I tried this. Thanks man!
Thanks so much for your advice. This works really fine!
Thank you so much !!!!
I tried it's so tight as default it cracked desk

Once you loosen the arm's tension then you push drown on the arm and it will go down. If it's too loose it won't be able to stay up. The document doesn't explain this very well.
Omfg thank you, I was 🤏 close to returning this damn thing!
The arm mount does not work… I’m returning this
For everyone that has problems with keeping the arm in the position that they want , it’s important that you mount your monitor and have some weight on it. Then you can just lower the tension like shown in the video but it might be the wrong side to you so try the side that your label says.
For those who are struggling with moving arms. Here are the tips (as I learned after struggling too 😢):
1. Attached your monitor first (and know your monitor weight)
2. There is a range from ~5 to 15 around the -/+ sign, middle of 2 arms. I think it’s about monitor weight. Adjust - or + to the weight of your monitor weight. My monitor weight ~6kg then I move the indicator to ~6kg. I can adjust the arm effortlessly.
Good luck
The upper arm won’t move at all for me, it feels like it’s fixed in place, how do i fix this?
Step 1: Turn ( - ) until it feels slightly tight.
Step 2: Hold your monitor, push down and it should move
If you see the metal tubes between the connections in the arm joints, you assembled the arm incorrectly*
Omg thank you
In order for the arms to stay down in the place you want them your going to have to have the weight of the monitor bolted on to the arm
It won't stay down.
Same, i tried everything
My problem is I can't get I'm either arm to move up or down
I thought that my monitor was not able to come down after I loosened the tension, but I was expecting the arm to fall down on its own. It actually moved down just fine once I started moving the monitor itself down. Just in case anyone gets stuck like i did!
I got stuck! Thanks for the tip!!
lol i feel slow. thanks for this comment. helped me figure it out!
Bruh only one of them works
Instructions full of contradictions. Clockwise to tighten worked with a bunch of turns.
This literally does nothing bro
Here's what's really awful about this thing...they ship it with the vesa mount turned 45 degrees off center so you think it is defective. Being used to new hardware having the correct orientation out of box it's completely unexpected. They include a little cartoon that looks like a child safety warning to tell you that you have to orient it properly using 2 hands after the arm is hung on the wall. Here's a thought.....put it in the directions booklet that people actually use to put the arm up. Awful shipping hack by the company gone wrong.
Be careful. Had issues with trying to adjust tension for the height for my HUANUO 13-32 Inch Dual Monitor Stand. The instructions and labels were wrong. Was about to return until did the opposite and turned clockwise to increase tension in spite of the label stating otherwise. Hope this helps someone else. The instruction booklet was wrong also
How low were u able to get it mine won’t go down
So i was able to push it down but it won’t stay at the height i want it at for some reason, even tho im tightening it slightly. it just springs back up regularly to the highest height
That's my issue too
@@shadowzzzz8733 i realized you really gotta put some weight on it, it won’t break. don’t do too much but once you get it down it’ll be much easier for you to bend it whichever way you want
@@smithy4894 I tried that, and it broke my desk shelf.
@@shadowzzzz8733 damnnnn man, are you hulk or is your desk not too stable😭😭
@@smithy4894 the desk has broken a few times, its just shitty, but i also tend to just break everything aswell so
The only thing I don’t like is that it’s very shaky
This arm is a piece of Crap!
My arm is auto rotating back to a straight position, does anyone know what is wrong?
need more tension i think
I cant access the slot for the allen key to loosen or tighten anything 😢
Do you where I can get the monitor plates/bracket that attach to the back of the monitor?
How do i tilt the monitor up and down
did you ever figure this out. because i’m trying to figure this out as well
I need to order just the screws and mount to attach to the monitor how does one do that?
It shipped with the arm tightened in such a position that it's impossible to access the tightening bolt. The arm cannot be adjusted at all.
Got mine today and you have to press down much harder than id expect to get it to be accessible
@@christiane8578 yep
Im worried my desk is gonna break lol
@@christiane8578i try to push harder on it and nothing ! just cant do it garbage arm ! CHINA
@@christiane8578life saver thanks!!
..es wäre schön gewesen, w wenn mein Arm diese Möglichkeit des Einstellens gehabt hätte. Leider gibt es diese Funktion nicht bei meiner Halterung, obwohl es in der Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben war. Was ist dann wohl passiert?

How do I unattached the whole arm? 😭
they ship the arm so that the gas spring arm is vertical and the tension screw cannot be accessed with the thick allan key. i’ve tried putting all my weight into making the arm move into a horizontal position but no luck. i’ve seen others have this issue. disappointing because i really liked this arm
Hey, I had the exact same problem. Here’s how I resolved it. I installed the monitor onto the plate, then attach the plate to the arm, pushing down on the arm and then up from the lower arm. I was able to get enough pressure without putting too much strain on the desk, and it finally started to budge. I hope this helps.
@@NopeAce631 mine wouldn’t budge no matter how much pressure i put onto it. attached the monitor and all. had to return it which was unfortunate but i’ll find a new one on prime day
It took several rotations for the gas tension spring to adjust and stop to where I wanted it. Thankfully this YT can is here to save the day. Great Monitor arm.
Honestly I don’t understand how people can’t get it to work when it works great for me. Put the bar at a horizontal height first then adjust then tension to whatever works for you until you can set your monitor to your desired height without it falling or rising on its own. The video is perfect people are literally not understanding basic steps for what’s being said for some odd reason.
Shut up
@@demetrigonzalez6939 no u 😶
hey look Mr Im-So-Smart adding no value to the comments.
yes...push the bar into a horizontal position FIRST...then, to keep the bar in a semi-fixed horizontal position (but moveable), turn the Allen-head screw clockwise. I struggled with it at first...but it works.
Life is mysterious, right? Just as you have a hard time understanding why people struggle with something, we have a hard time understanding what keep your nose so high. Careful when it bumps on the ceiling.
