The way he explains the background of the Nordic beliefs and philosophy makes his songs so much more powerful and touching. I am not of Nordic heritage, but Einar's performances touch my soul so deep. He sings about things that are so common and basic for the very human nature and who we all are. I love it!
He's probably not born with that knowledge, you know. Thrive, learn and grow. Find something and devote yourself. Einar's whole being is this what he showed us, find something and become "you" in it, like Einar did in music, spirituality and "north".
Ole Marthon Karlsson já frændi, fyrir Alfaðir vors Óðinn skulum vér deyja og til Valhallar skalt þú halda. Gera skulum við forfeður vora stolta með því að taka eins marga og hægt er með sér í dauðann. Allir óvinir þínir til Heljar halda frændi. Ger þú nú Óðinn og föður þinn stoltan.
Darkness - not necessarily as in evil - runs in the Nordic spirit. Watch "Nordbundet" by Taake official video and understand why a christian god could never really find his place in the hearts of the people living in such an environment. Hail Valfader. Hail Kvitrafn
A music genre from where some prominent people came from...Einar and Gaahl from Gorgororth both in Wardruna. Ivar Bjornson from Enslaved (Skuggsja with Einar). There's probably others.
Ras Rado Nyah Children's books. He's saying Black Metal lyrics can seem rather 'happy' and 'light-hearted' in comparison to the grim, bleak nature of a lot of Norse poetry.
Because modern Icelandic is still very true to old Norse, just with minor differences in pronunciation. It’s the closest you can get to old Norse. You damn Saxon
Adam Škulavík but I would love to listen to it without going on UA-cam every time. Nytt Land have sung this poem to their own melody, and it’s beautiful too, but this is so wonderful ..
One of the most wonderful human beings

What he's talking about in the beginning about the cycle of life and death is essentially the same as Ouroboros, the snake eating it's tail.
DemonicWinna he's talking about Ragnarok.
