Took a 23 and me test and discovered my Scandinavian/nordic heritage. I'm psyched to literally have viking blood flowing through me. I've always felt the warrior inside me wanting to come out. If only I had known this back in high school football, I could of drawn more inspiration from that knowledge to lay people out. Lol
When I close my eyes I see myself sitting by the fire in the middle of forest, it’s night and the stars are so close. I hear the drams and drink decoction from mushrooms, my breath and my soul rise and fly up to the night sky together with the smoke from the fire. So powerful
Wardruna and Heilung are my two fav new bands. Special shoutout to the song Her Mannilig though. (Also I miss Ragnar, show hasnt been the same since he left. )
I finished my PhD thesis with this song. While I was writing all alone during the lonely pandemic winter, after listening 2 weeks non-stop, the zikr (rythmic breathing) in this song reminded me of Islam and my roots, so I cleaned myself Islamically (gusl) and prayed the midday prayer first time after 15 years. Eventually it didn't hold on that long, so in the same evening I bought a bottle whiskey and got drunk in the evening and shook my head in the living room and did some tungusic throat singing, still the same song in the background. These details don't matter really, but I just want to put the emphasis how great this song is and it can take you to a large spectrum of different worlds!! Hail King Ragnar!
I agree. It sounds like many cultural backgrounds in one song. You have Scandinavian, throat singing so maybe Inuit or Mongolian and it also does sound middle eastern.
There's an old saying "We all come into this world the same way screaming soaked in blood...but if you make the right choices...that kind of fun doesn't need to stop there"
I love this type of powerful Norse music, it really brings out the Viking in me wanting to raid and pillage. Hail King Ragnar, hail to Odin, Thor and the other gods. Skål to all my Norse pagans and Shieldmaidens. May the gods be with you and we will all feast in Valhalla.

Wardruna and Eivnar have to be the most inspirational music for videos. Love it.
Are that one History channel i stumbled upon?
@@EiriktheNordAndersen-ju4gl Not sure? You mean my history channel or the one from TV showing Vikings? I do have a history channel with a show on Vikings too :)
@@YoreHistory I saw you're channel on Xbox UA-cam. Good to see you have Culture as well.
I listen to this over and over again. Love its power.
👍Take a look to the band NORDALUNA, it's new and it's good
Thank you Einar, bringing us this ancient music. Absolutely magnificent ❤️🇿🇦
This music fire my imagination.. Beyond words, beyond imagination, beyond everything.. This brings In to mystery of different world, ,an unseen life..unbelievable life full of fairy tales.. Every beat strikes on heart
Fairy Tales?? You want them...read the Bible!! Millions of heathens world wide have been murdered by that Book!!
Exactly! But to me it's also so primal that it covers all cultures. And I listen this & Helvegen extended play on repeat to relax on Southeast of Chicago.
That moment when your heart beats in the same rhythm like the bass drum.
Fat
I hope not, that would mean serious cardiovascular problems. The rhythm is not steady.
@@deutschesmaedchen hearts rhytm is not steady either, it changes every second, even depends on how deep you breathe

Love the chanting and story line of this song

@@Totem-wj3so I will bro thanks and I love bands like theocracy, seventh day slumber, Narnia, and so on..
This music speaks to the Soul and Spirit. I love it!!!!!
Lol
just wait until you discover Sisu.... ua-cam.com/video/2bmqdnx5R1U/v-deo.html
When I close my eyes I see myself sitting by the fire in the middle of forest, it’s night and the stars are so close.
I hear the drams and drink decoction from mushrooms, my breath and my soul rise and fly up to the night sky together with the smoke from the fire.
So powerful
Skoll...legends never die!....✊
Wardruna and Heilung are my two fav new bands. Special shoutout to the song Her Mannilig though. (Also I miss Ragnar, show hasnt been the same since he left. )
It's awesome I can actually understand the language. I'm glad I learned my ancestors language and how to read their runes

Many religions , one root.
Only Vikings Fans feel that music😍. Skål to everyone here!
The series is not that good
@@ttime9947 what's your favorite?

I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone else's blood and I don't mind going out the same way haha
That line, reminded me of Barbosa in Pirates of the Carribean.
Im with you
I salute you, ancient warrior
We think exactly the same, SKOL...See you in Valhalla Brother
There's an old saying "We all come into this world the same way screaming soaked in blood...but if you make the right choices...that kind of fun doesn't need to stop there"
This song felt me full energy...

This song gives me chills in a good way lol
This is too intense. I cant study
Don't study
But it is good while playing
I tried to listen to this while working. Agreed. Way too intense.
Get a pair of balls son.
I think it could fit for me to study
Perfect....
I realized I listened to this so much on repeat that I knew exactly when 18 minutes have passed, judging by the intro part, and so I would plan my activities in 18 min intervals without realizing it at all at some point. Good times
this is art
Im from Denmark and this song makes me proud and sad at the same time.. because we became a Christian country.
In Denmark the Christianity is still the main religion? 😯
@@juaneziomartaauditore8116 exactly the point of sad
@@twiztedbambi164 Surely you still have some pagans out there no?
Even if you were a pagan country, this music is not what Vikings preferred. It has nothing to do with Germanic music.

HOLY SHIT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR FOREVER EVER SINCE I FIRST HEARD PIECES OF IT IN THE SHOW......

When I came to work my boss greeted me and I shouted "Shield wall!!"
Loved the show.

Born american but mexican blooded and I love these kind of music my life been stuck from Christian religion and catholic war from each other i can't take it anymore on both religions always judging on each other like God is hell or something instead why not get along mostly at times people tell me i am listening to satan music or something... But really it heals my depressing life and it makes me feel better I love all nature and the woods.
The organized religion steers us away from what was n what worked .. wanting us 2go2 them 4everything when we r 2 look w/in ...n reconnect w/Gia .....

I have actually read the Voluspa (my favorite translation is the one by J.R.R. Tolkien included in his translation of The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun as The Prophecy of the Sybil) and I highly recommend it.
I am now looking for this, seeing as you just mentioned my fav author. Thanks.
@@MagicApple03 you are welcome. Many people are aware that Professor Tolkien wrote The Lord of the Rings but not everyone is aware of his scholarly works and translations. I sort of took my LOTR fascination beyond the usual things like going to conventions and dressing up as his characters...I spent 15 years hanging out with a Finn and trying to learn the language that Tolkien used as the basis for Elvish. The actors who play Halfdan and Harald on Vikings are from Finland too...their accents take a bit of getting used to!
