Twenty years ago it happened to one foreigner in Puerto Galera and the good thing is he was adapted by my cousin without any question or ask in return for almost half a year until he is good enough to travel. They contacted their embassy and arranged his travel to go back to his home country and you what happened next. They aren't " Down on their luck". Luck has nothing to do with it. They all become grifters and need to be deported. Giving them money doesn't help but immigration putting them on a flight home will. Report this grifter to immigration.

The homeless man looks irresponsible person. He stayed in the Philippines as not a retired person, to get financially stable to live in the Philippines.
From 8:23 through 9:09 when the money is being discussed between you two, the workman in the blue Tshirt nearest both of you had an inordinate interest in the conversation. Its been a good solid charitable effort on this channel's part. Hope for the best for this down on his luck fellow & hope everything turns out well for him. That said he seems like a bit of a fast talker. There was something about this "clearance date" that he seemed pretty hard to nail down on.
The greatest gift anyone gave this Man was the gift of trust, the respect to say "here have this, I trust you're decision on what you do with it" . . thats worth more than the money, no matter WHAT his life choices are
He is a backslider. Once he is lifted up and back up on his feet, he will just as easily fall back into his old bad habits. Let his life serve us to learn how to stay drug free and alcohol free.
Nothing against donations. I got the whole story. But I think the effort will be in vain. I have my doubts that he really wants to get out of his situation. (barangay clearance) There will always be new alleged problems that prevent him from improving his situation. That's what I think anyway. But of course I could be wrong. But of course all the best and good luck for Greg.

You sound like the Randall Pearson character from the series 'This Is Us'
Continue to help him don't mind what people say. I salute to your kindness brother.
Thank you Brad!
@@Livingabroadalex keep safe always
Thanks for the update. Did he actually make it to Negros?
Last I heard he contacted the inviting family and was on his way.
Mate you are a good human being, thanks for your effort
Thank you 😊
not sure why but it felt like he did not want to leave the area he was staying at!! if its true was a waste trying to help him out to find a better place to live in,. anyways just like you said you found him and wished to help and you did everything you could to help him out. everything else is up to him!!
Yes everything is up to him, no reason for failure
I'm from England this guy is definitely a drug user and for him to want to stay homeless in a foreign country makes me think what he's running away from.
No man on this earth has been robbed so much.
The two times he was talked to he did not seem to be on drugs or strung out. He said he wasn't doing drugs in the other video. I deal with users everyday, to me he doesn't seem like he is.
I agree. He could get consulate support with new documents and even repatriated. Every excuse under the sun not to do that. He's in trouble running from something. If I got in trouble abroad, I'd be climbing over the embassy wall to get help.
No problem. Yes correct , in the videos he 'seems' straight. @@iloveyouamberappel
@@iloveyouamberappel He said if he goes back to England they'll put him in an alcohol or drug rehab centre. Why do you think he said that?
Thank you for helping ,but anyway even hes facing of poverty he's in good condition, unlike in other country ..most of the homeless are addicted, thanks to pilipino community he eat and not starving..our community help even in a small amount of food..
Alex you have given this guy a second chance in life and he’s been very lucky! But from here it’s all down to Greg, and if he chooses to make it OR just end up back where he was.. Wishing him all the best and interested to hear an update 🙏
Your heart is in the right place Living aboard. I moved here full time in 2019. This barangay clearance thing has me confused. You said his visa status is up to date. You must present your passport anytime you renew your visa, so I assume he has a valid passport. He can use his passport as ID to board the ferry. Did you actually see his passport and visa payment receipts?
I was asking the same questions why would a foreigner on a a tourist visa living on the streets need a barangay clearance?
@@edmhie1 I am doing the research I am asking here and on an expat forum so far no one has any idea why it would be necessary if you or anyone else knows the reason please let us all know
Watch the first 2 videos. He explains everything
No such thing as a brgy clearance is needed for travel anywhere in the Philippines As for visa your passport is required .He was stalling on this brgy clearance .Hard to believe him ..
@thomasmcmanus8255 read the dozens of comments I've made explaining why he needs a brangay clearance and his visa was renewed prior to losing his passport
Great job man, Changing world one person at a time through kindness and generosity of a community!
Thank you 🙏
Greg said he'd be in touch....been a few months now should be settled. Be interesting to see his state of affairs and what his situation is now. Unless he's been robbed again and he's back to Sq1... (Which I feel is the next Part4)
Alex........YOU SIR is Heaven sent! Thank you for giving some faith back in humanity! YOU sir is a GOOD MAN! Hope to meet you when I fly down. Take great care my friend! This fellow has a chance and opportunity to turn his life around. Thank you and all of the supporters!
Thank you for your kind words
MUCH more to this story and the guy.
FOREIGNERS ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED ANY BARANGAY CLEARANCE! Passport is all that is needed.
I hate to say this as your heart is in the right place but, you got played 😢
Did you miss the part where he doesn't have a passport or any other ID? He needs it to buy ferry ticket
100% True, he is lying.I'm travelling to Philippines for over 20 years and have met too many farangs in cebu to know, he ain't right, some farangs love living on the streets, its nothing for them, some love suffering, some lie for ever, its all part of the life they are living.
in Cebu, people DO NOT STEAL as he claims, he was OFTEN, Its not brazil or US or UK....people live you alone for the most part, his barangay clearance is a dead giveaway. His whole story is a MADE UP OF LIES.
If he doesn't have a passport then how has he got his visas renewed?
@doggy55915 renewed prior to losing it
@@doggy55915His wife took his home and his money, his passport and documents were stolen too, his ex wife was done for drugs and her family no different. A previous visa is still valid and he says no use renewing expensive UK passport as he doesn’t need it, just his barangay clearance. So my guess is he needs that at least to allow travel considering no passport
Thank you so much Sir for helping Greg and hope you will never give up helping others that need help, thank you God Bless ❤🙏❤️
Thank you
You need to verify this guy's story from a few people back in England. He seems like a huckster. Are you just taking his word for all these excuses? 10 bucks says anything you give him will wind up "stolen", and he's actually just selling it for cash.
Verify a story from a bloke living in the street ? You think he's lying then and he's actually rich? Just doing it for a laugh 😂
Yeah he might sell that rucksack, good point mate . Ffs
There’s a saying we use in England, something doesn’t ring the right tune or something doesn’t sound quite right. But I hope I’m wrong but i don’t think I am. Good luck to him 🙏🏼
I think you found your calling in life helping people that are down and out and need a helping hand is for you You're a natural you're perfect Don't give up Keep at it it's a life worth living👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you ! I wish I had the resources to give back more often. But credit goes to all the viewers 👏👏
This guy's a con artist f****** He's in the next city over doing the same thing now with the same b******* story... Guys a scam or bum It will never leave the Philippines doesn't want to go home
Well done helping this man. Of all the places to be homeless, the streets of the Philippines is not good.
You people are great !!! To help a fellow human being that is down and hopeless God Bless you all !
Thank you!!
Thank you for helping him..God bless you 🙏
You sir, are a great human being. God bless.
I hope this man makes the best out of the opportunity.
It seems that he is a permanent victim, who really doesn’t have any desire to change his life because he’s comfortable being a scab that everyone seems to want to scratch for him
I agree. Gave him the benefit of the doubt in the early videos but there always seems to be a reason why he can't change his situation despite being given opportunities and resources (much more than locals in the same situation).
You don't know who he is or what he has gone through in life!! I'm sure he loves sleeping with one eye open at night not knowing who might Rob or attack him or how if he has depression or mental health issues that affects him, hate people who judge those you don't even know.
@@MattPearman-qr4sq people make judgments of other people all the time. Psychologist and psychiatrist, doctors lawyers, judges, individuals we all make judgments of other people because that’s how we have to to live and to pretend otherwise it’s just plain old fake.
You did a wonderful job helping Greg. Thank you!😊
being homeless in philippines is probably better than being homeless in the UK or US
at least it's warm.
You live on another planet you plonker 😅😅 🇬🇧
It’s very cold in the US. One of the homeless in California told me that she got so cold that she saw her soul left her body.
@@yennguyen-uj3ri Now that is the most stupid comment I've ever heard 🙄
No, being homeless In Hawaii, now you’re talking.
Youre a Good Samaritan,, thanks for helping Greg,, hope this will be d beginning of his new life 🥳🥳👍👍🙏
You mentioned about Kabankalan in Negros Occidental where I came from but now residing abroad.
Kabankalan is a small charter city and economically progressing and Greg will like it there, especially the locals.
I will continue to follow up his situation throughout his journey to find a place he can call home.
Interesting
Thank you!
Is that the one who the monkey on the logo?
He is now is Salong, homeless outside the school at the market.
@@codybrucewilliams how did he get there. ?
That's really remote and far from the city.
GREAT STUFF...I LOVE THEY WAY YOU ACCEPT HIM, AS YOU SEE HIM...TO HELP HIM...
They way his face lit up when he knew he was getting money right then worried me a lot.
There's nothing to worry about there's a 100% chance the money is going on shabu so not sure what Ur question is
Very kind thank you for being the 1 percent human.

@@Livingabroadalex thank you for believing in people.
You did an awesome job in helping Greg. Your generosity is much appreciated from people like me. Thank you
He's not the only foreigner in the Phils. who needs help. On ''every man has a story'' there's another foreigner down on his luck needing help to get back to the US. Seems like many of them just go the the Phils with some money thinking it will last forever. Doesn't work out that way.
They aren't " Down on their luck". Luck has nothing to do with it. They all become grifters and need to be deported. Giving them money doesn't help but immigration putting them on a flight home will. Report this grifter to immigration.
Difference is the guy on the other channel has ( so he says) hundreds of thousands in a 401k plan that he cannot access from the Philippines. The guy in this video is broke broke.
This is not yet the final. Thanks for helping him. Thanks for the group who's helping those foreigners who met accidents, etc. For Greg, when you are out of rot, please help the other foreigners who are experiencing bad situations. God bless.😊😊😊
im sure its not the last time. hope to help more foreigners that have a same sitiation like him. GOD bell Alex, you have a plus points in heaven... (PLUS 10 ka sa Langit)
Thank you 😊
I am glad he’s had some help with accommodation and living money . With Greg’s wealth of experience and widespread knowledge of living in the Philippines why wouldn’t someone steer him in the way of setting up a UA-cam channel , he would be very successful and he’d make an extremely good living . He just needs some encouragement.
I see homeless forgein here all the time, its by there own design, just a month ago a England man in McDonald's asking for money, I say your should be ashamed, he laughs i ask why he not go home, , he go this where the drug and girls are, his clothes look like not change in years, a American living under the bridge on Zapote road, when he ask for help i say i get a bus fare for him to the usa embassy, ,but say didnt want go home, So iturn my back and walk on, You help a fiol, but you can't change one
Thank you so much for helping this poor British person. I wish you the best.
The homeless man looks irresponsible person. He stayed in the Philippines as not a retired person, to get financially stable to live in the Philippines.
Thank you for helping a man is a tuff situation !
Bless your heart young man for helping this old boy 👌
Thank you!
Fully agree with you 100%
Something isn right ! 🙃
Will done good on you to help him with jeopardy! God bless you for not judging him. You just a genuine Samaritan.
The greatest gift anyone gave this Man was the gift of trust, the respect to say "here have this, I trust you're decision on what you do with it" . . thats worth more than the money, no matter WHAT his life choices are
The gift of a gab you naive lad.
What a wounderfull fella. Wish him all the best in life
I really hope I'm wrong but I get the feeling he will be back there again and maybe already. I do hope he gets back on track though.
(barangay clearance)
There will always be new alleged problems that prevent him from improving his situation.
That's what I think anyway. But of course I could be wrong.
But of course all the best and good luck for Greg.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope so too 😊
Thank you sir for your video. Its always good to see some positivity in this time
How could his tourist visa be up to date? He hasnt left the country to make a tourist visa application and has already over stayed. Hes been there 14 years on a tourist visa?
